Thank you so very much.!!..

I loved your Christmas card..and am so very touched that you thought of me..

How you got my home address, I shall not even ask...lol..but the fact that you went out of your way to send me a card ..speaks volumes..

This is and always will be a sad time of the year for me...as my family that I knew as a child is no more...

They are scattered all over the globe..

My Oh and two boys are all that I have now...and whoever they bring home for Christmas lunch....

Students, that study over here but cannot get home because of their part time jobs are so very welcome.

They think that I am this wonderful person... when in fact I am very selfish..and need them to celebrate Christmas with me in order to fill my heart.

I shall never get used to a wet, grey and cold Christmas...as
South Africa is and always will be in my heart....

I wish you and everyone a very Merry Christmas..

Caz is a darling I agree.

Take care Lindy - I think you are being too hard on yourself - the fact that you welcome people into your home and your heart makes you as far away from selfish as it's possible to be in my opinion.

YOU!! are a wonderful person...always there for someone that is in need..

I remember when you first started posting on the boards...

I was angry and trying to come to terms with my Dads death.....

YOU were ther for me when I lashed out...and for so many other people as well...

A Happy Peaceful Christmas and New Year to you.
Christmas is not the same for me anymore, my son all grown up, my brothers not bothering as usual, and my parents gone, and many other family members gone too. O.h. here is not that interested either, one of his boys has gone off to live in America, grass is greener lad, and the other one, altho coming round tomorrow and o.h. visiting him after Christmas, lives miles away and has arranged to have his mother and her partner visit and stay over with his newish girlfriend's mother and sister there too. He has moved into his girlfriend's flat so they will all be there.

Hardly feels worth bothering really, my son will come for a while on Christmas Day and have lunch with us and open pressies, but then is going back to meet his pals. Will be very boring, luckily I have a couple of books to read and I am sure there will be someone around on here. Will be able to pop in when he falls asleep in the chair as usual.
