a moslem with a christian met
the moslem then went on to boast
we are more righteous men than most
islam means peace-were peacefull folke
who see you christians as a joke
with empty churches in decay
of islam this-you cannot say
your bishops for ever encourage war
in a system rotten to the core

THE CHRISTIAN--
All what you speak is true purchance
true too the words of El' Lawrence
a cruel and barberous people all
who trust to get their up-ward call
by righteous murder-rape and blunder
whilst preaching peace blow men assunder
all what in us you see and hate
is higher piled upon your plate
your holy men a much like ours
come waving guns in place of flowers

The poet then these two shall judge
in honesty without a fudge
what is religion for all its tricks
if not a higher politics
imprisoning the very hearts of men
who for them selves think not again
through threat and fear might loose their soul
so join the dance around the pole
my judgement is and all should know
one of the two be made to go
no room in this enlightened age
for both politics and religious rage

Marx and Engels knew what religion was: "social control" and "the opium of the masses".

Just look at the nonsense that is preached:
"It is easier for a camel to pass throught the eye of a needle than a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven......" ha ha bloody ha !!!

And what about TV! Advertising all sorts of stuff. from material items to drugs and propaganda...Religion, well maybe its just the excuse....

As I said David, Religion is just the excuse, whether you believe it or not! Blame culture etc works both ways in each individuals eyes. Man will always be aggressive to fellow man until no man survives! I have seen atrocities in various parts of the world that has made me ask the question, is there a god? I cannot answer my own question! However, I will not judge others belief's.... just my opinion folks..

Hi Carrie, sorry not accusing you nor anybody else. You are sure right that religion does have a lot to answer for. My opinion is that ALL religions have been hijacked by bad people for reasons other than they are intended.
