One of my colleagues who was made redundant two years ago but still comes into school doing supply cover was diagnosed and had surgery for a massive brain tumour on New Years Eve. The results of the biopsy were due on Thursday, if it was a grade 1-3 cancer he would need to go through radio and chemo. If it was grade four, it was terminal. We haven't heard anything from his wife and I just hope that no news is good news.

Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers my lovely friend and your wife and children.

God be with him!! I have had a similar experience - thankfully 4 of my biopsies came back clear and the 5th was inconclusive. My case (I'm told) was written up in the Lancet!! Here I am 18 months later cancer free but on epilepsy meds & no real diagnosis of what was actually wrong with me. I have partial weakness down one side - I'm very lucky!! It pays to stay positive - so sending positive thoughts & prayers for your friend.

PS - Please tell him about GROUND APRICOT KERNELS!!
PPS - are you a teacher, Lyn??

Ails

I'm so glad that things worked out so well for you and send you my bestest wishes for the future.

I have heard about ground apricot kernels when I was going through my treatment for breast cancer but that was as far as it got for me. Have you tried them yourself?

Oh yes, almost forgot to mention, I'm a teaching assistant.
