I was afraid of that James but hoped I could do it the same as deleted items. |

It depends which piece of software you are using or whether it is web-based or not. |

If you are using Outlook Express (and this actually works for most) then click once on the first email. Scroll down to the last one and click on that whilst holding down the Shift key. This will then highlight all emails in that folder. Press delete with caution! |

Will try that now Errol. Sorry but our messages crossed; |

Just tried your suggestion Errol but all I''ve succeeded in doing is shoving them all to the right and nearly off the page! I couldn't scroll down them all either. What am I doing wrong?? |

JIll, as Errol said, click on the first e-mail to highlight it, but dont open it, then hold down the shift key, and select the last e-mail. When all are highlighted, right click and select delete. |

Incidentally, if there are a few that you want to keep, highlight them all using the above method then click once on the ones you wish to keep whilst holding the Ctrl key - this will deselect that email. This works the opposite way too - experiment with it. |

I had already moved the ones I wanted to keep into their folders but thanks all the same. |
