Daff did say that they were going to put her old desk in place of what she was using for the PC, I wonder if she has problems re-connecting it all. I thought she may have phoned somebody though and left a message. Never mind, let us hope all is well and whatever the problem is it will be rectified soon cos I miss her!!!

Morning Maz,I got loads of washing done and dried yesterday as we had no rain all day!

I think Daff must be having computer problems as if she was feeling rough, her lovely Mr Daff would let us know. Am leaving a little hug for her here on this table, for her return:-)

Lovely bright sunny day here, have loads to do so shall probably spend a lot of time on here instead! lol

Happy Sunday everyone.

Hi Jean, We drove down, there was a coach in as well. But there is a train station if you could go by train, not far from the hotel so a taxi wouldn't be expensive.

BC, how lovely was S well? She was going to contact me or vice versa to meet up but we are both bad at getting in contact (always so much to do!!) I will have to think of something, maybe we can have them both over for lunch or something. Glad you had a nice day though and I am intrigues who the others were of course (well nosey is the word I suppose). You will give a wonderful speech, I am sure you have touched the blarney stone at some stage in your life, it will come in useful now!!!

Jean, I imagine Daff got talking to her parents then had a thousand phone calls and lots of other people to chat to so was not bothered about us ***sob*** Hope you are OK Daff.

Ann, the hotel looks lovely, but did you drive down or coach there? J isnt allowed to drive so far yet and I dont drive, and he hates coaching so I think we will have to find something closer to home.....

Welcome back Ann and glad you had a lovely time. I met up with a friend of yours and waved her off on her train today. Also met up with two other ex GR friends... We had hours of torrential rain last night after a sticky humid day but today was ok and we sat outside to eat and drink. Every year we meet up and for some strange reason, always end up drinking Limoncello after our food!. Nice to catch up:-)

Hope Daff is well today and everyone else as well...lol....am having an anxiety attack as son has asked if I would give a speech at the event....eeeeeeeeekkkkkkk!!

Pleased to see you are ok Daff.
Ann glad you had a great holiday.
We had a good time at the Gower despite our tent leaking dreadfully(it was cheap) so we have bought a more dearer one now as we plan on going back to the Gower(diferent site as one we went on is fully booked) for aug bank holiday weekend.

Came home to find lots of veg had grown so thursday had our own carrots, peas and cabbage so delicious.

Hope this sunnier weather lasts as some of our tomato,s are finally turning red.

Hope everyone else are ok.

take care all have a good weekend we have to take my yiungest to choir practice tomorrow as her school(primary) choir is in the Three Choir Festival singing on 15th Aug at the last concert The Gathering Wave, cant wait to see her.

Ours was the Imperial Jean, there are two Shearings in Exmouth the other is the Crown, don't know what that one is like, it is also on the sea front. You can google the Imperial.

Hi Jean, thank you.

The hotel was fine, the public rooms have all been refurbished and modernised. Our room was comfortable and had all the facilities - shower, bath, kettle, twin beds but it was 'tired', needs decorating. had a nice sea view though. staff were all friendly, we were bed and breakfast and only had one dinner in which was OK. Breakfasts were fine, buffet for cereals and juice and then normal full English cooked - bacon, sausage, egg, beans tomato and hash brown, toast and marmalade etc. eggs any way you liked, or kipper, or cold ham.

The nights we didn't eat in the hotel, one we were at a golden wedding party, another we went out with friends but last night we ate at a very good Italin a stones throw from the hotel.
Two nights entertainment, one was excellent we had seen him before, the other, a duo were OK but quite loud and all the songs sounded the same, we sat in the bar and listened to them.

Hotel was right on the front across the road from the promenade, town was a short walk through gardens, slightly uphill. promenade is long and flat with plenty of seats. Hotel is in large grounds with outside pool and several seats plus a sun terrace where you can sit with a drink. Big car park. We would go back.
