Jude.......I hope its not rained off this year then, and tell that hubby of yours to keep both feet firmly planted on the ground - just in case! lol!

tail was a resounding success....the party was great fun apparently, they filled them full of sugar and sent them home! nice school!!!! H forgot to stand still in musical statues though, and forgot to "bump" for musical bumps, so she didn't do too well, not that she cares! school trip today has been cancelled because the weather is so foul! they'll try again tomorrow!

daff - enjoy shopping.....again!!!! I want new flooring in the kitchen and bathrooms.....no chance at the moment...its on the wish list! lol!

BC - am so glad to find someone else whose addicted to the wire....! do you think its wrong that i think i'm in love with stringer as well as mcnulty?! I keep annoying OH by saying "yo String...where wallace at?!" he rolls his eyes and says shut up!!!!!!!! cheek! I'm addicted to NCIS and the Unit too.....i see a theme....!!!!

Sorry was downstairs blitzing the kitchen!!! With OH's help as he has not gone to golf because of threatened rain which so far has been very light showers.

Hope you find your carpet or rugs today. T is shampooing our lounge carpet but it is a bit of a lost cause because it is on the direct route from garden to the rest of the house.

Morning all... I am off out with sister later... off down to the carpet places... she knows a fair few, lol My sister had the same suggestions as yourself, Liz!

I have just dusted off my debit card, and transferred some pennies to the account (I don't use it often, it was mine when I was a working girl, lol) and am awaiting a telephone call to give me a new number for said card...... forgot the last one, so long since I used it!!

Jac... I do hope Claudia isn't really in the family way.... a miracle chook birth!! I can see the headlines! Mind you...... I could be your publicist and earn a fortune!! ;¬)) Eat yer heart out, Max Clifford!! As to my hair... it actually grows into a mohican!! truly!! I was amazed... my mother must have known, but she never told me!! No wonder the hairdressers have always had such a hard time... and the results of their labours is almost impossible to recreate, lolol Well, by me, anyway!

Clay masks are good for the complexion, Taff... I'd be more concerned if you floated off up the Severn and got attacked by the Bore, lolol

BC...... most people love capitalism, if they have been embroiled in die hard socialism, I find (Berlin wall coming down, for instance) the only ones who do not like it are the ones who were more equal than the rest... Blair and Brown spring to mind in this country!! Hope she has a lovely time... I'm sure she will, with you as her hostess with the mostess!

Morning Daff and all!

Bit miserable weather wise up here, but we all have to be positive and something good will happen to each one of us today. e.g. I have some Morrisons vouchers which will entitle me to four quid off my shopping bill today - dont take much to make me happy does it?

"Flubber" is a new sort of gunk for the hair, and if you dont use too much of it it brushes out very easily - too much and you are lost((((( I'm assuming you dont really want a Mohican(sp)? lol

I hope everyone has a lovely weekend - I am off to the allotment to see my grand-chooks, as one of them (Claudia) is broody apparently. What that means exactly I have yet to find out!!!! There are no cockerels, so she might need counselling!

Morning Daff, love the new haircut:-) Thunder and lightning all night here so didnt have to water the flowers. My Bulgarian arrived and I had forgotten how she loves to talk and drink beer,so am a bit baggy eyed this morning.. She was 16 when Socialism died in Bulgaria and remembers the deprivation. Now she is a jolly Capitalist and loves it! Am off to the park.

Hi, Daff, Just had a senior moment, we are going to our close friends Golden wedding party, I thought next Sat, and booked my hairdresser to do my hair before the do.... now I find out the party is tomorrow, I have no gift ,dont know what I am wearing !!!!!!! J has to go to the clinic today too.Managed to change the hair time 8-30 in the morning.so running around like an headless chick...
but no doubt we will be there probably shattered.....wish I had read the invite....how are things at your place, reading your adds, you seem to have the same hectic times too.. we do pray all goes well with your next hospital visit......have a good weekend....

Daff, do you not have Carpetright near you? They have some amazing offers on at times, with 60% off so you can get a really good carpet for a very good price. Great to be able to use some of the other one elsewhere, we have done that in the past.

Glad the haircut went well and you just wait till your little ones see you playing with the gunk in your hair, bet they will want to play hairdressers and create you some fabulous styles lol

Ouch!!! Just been sorting out the cacti in the conservatory. One of them fires thorns at you if you get within a centimetre. Nasty little thing!!!!

hello it is warm here and thundery again

Morning everyone... beautiful day here, sunny but not too warm... I have decided to stay in my jim jams all day, lol... I want to give the lounge carpet one more chance to come clean, and then that's it... for the chop, lol... actually I have measured the clean area, and it will fit nicely in the small front bedroom..... the one the girs' beds are in..... so that is what I shall do... tomorrow I shall go and see if B & Q or Homebase is cheaper for the flooring I want, and then go for it........

I missed WDYTYA... I was still on here!! and went straight to bed.

Just watched WDYTYA with OH, he was actually very interested. Mainly i think because Davina had two very interesting ancestors., not much going on here now so I think I am off to bed.

l've been a good girl today and did an extra stint at the charity shop, got all the linen sorted:o))))

Off to son's tomorrow back Fri :o))) we have little man all day Fri:o)))). Couple of weeks ago we took him on the Severn Valley Steam train, he loved it, so did we:o)) (did l tellyou that before??)

wmsl Ann... yep, I did!! Even banana stained it!! Red wine comes out a treat... muddy cat paw prints don't...... oh, nor does ribena, totally, and the sole of R's slippers have a lot to answer for... it was expensive, too... but the cream carpets in two of the bedrooms stay absolutely pristine!! Marks come out with a dab of vinegar or soda, and water..... and they were cheap as chips!

I have two cream sofas as well...... I have had them for 8 years now, and they are looking quite drab and sorry for themselves. The cushions all wash up lovely in the machine, but the base doesn't clean up well at all....

Oh, and when we bought that, we had two dogs, 5 cats and a son at home, lolol Asking for trouble, weren't we??

Maz, once you get going again, it'll be fine, I'm sure... don't forget to ask or pm me if you think I can help... I won't know the expected layout of yours... different discipline... but I will be able to help with reviewing any questions and answers you are uncertain about.... good luck!
