Good morning Daff and all. Just back from my walk in the park where I sorted out all my problems plus the problems of the Universe:-) lol I would so miss that walk, it starts the day off for me together with the two cups of strong coffee each morning. I have bartered two nights lodgings for a haircut, Daff! lol

Hope all your gardens are not too battered by the storms. Am off to the Underground, a very sad day as it is one of the stations where the bomb went off on 7 July 2005. My thoughts go to those who suffered or lost their lives.

Be good, catch you later.

He will probably put them in the machine tomorrow. washing!! Hmm, yes that was my good start to today. did a load of washing, when it finished, took it out to hang in the conservatory as it looked like rain, started to hang it and every bit of it was dirtier than before i washed it. checked the machine and from somewhere there was dirt on the inside of the glass door and round the rubber seal, goodness knows where it came from. so cleaned the machine, then redid the load again. I was not amused i can assure you!!

Jac you nipped in there whilst I wasn't looking....... vest? In this weather? wmsl!! The images.......... Boadiccea, aka Jac....... with vest and holy bodice, lololol Just don't use a safety pin to keep the whole ensemble together..... they always give at the wrong moment... remember that rhyme a stitch in time saves nine? Well, they meant nine safety pins!! All buckled and bent cos they bean holding up holy bodices, lolol

Taff Report 6 Jul 2009 19:51

See, I told you Daff had been kidnapped !!!LOL

MrDaff

MrDaff Report 6 Jul 2009 18:32

Woohooo!!!! I did get kidnapped... sister H and niece phoned, I was still out for the count!!... did I want to go and play in Cribbs causeway.... yep... give me half hour to shower and wash my hair (thank goodness for my chic hairdo, lol) and I'll be ready, debit card clutched firmly in hot sticky little hand....

I have bought LOADS!! Half a dozen really snazzy... and very bright, lol... tops, 4 pairs of linen mix trousers, I saw a pair of cotton jeans, white, in Monsoon.. oh bliss, they fit... but I had run out of money by then... well, I set myself a budget, and had already doubled it, lol... so I shall order those online..... doesn't feel like you are buying them then, does it? lol A beautiful coral and silver pendant with matching earrings for special occasions.... haven't anything to go with them, so will need to go out shopping again, lol Oh, and loads of other chunky and funky jewellery for day wear.....

Half way around, I asked my lovely niece if she had heard how she has done regards her degree....... the little minx heard on my birthday, but hadn't told anyone cos it was my time, not hers..... I'd have sent someone across for Champagne to Asda, lol..... announced it to the world!! She got a 2.1 with Honours in Criminal Psychology......there is another bit to it, but can't remember... it is her 21st next month, so I will need to get her sommat really special... I am sooooooo proud of her and her mum... my sister got a 2.2 a few weeks ago.... nursing... but only found out in the last term or whatever they call it that she is dyslexic. She is younger than me, but only by a little bit... and she has just got her first proper nursing job, too... her graduation is tomorrow... nieces is next week. Aren't they just so clever... I am so proud of them... did I say that already? Lol.

Right... I got kidnapped by clever clogs senior and clever clogs junior!!

BC... would you please ask your hairdresser if he would like to stay here.... my hair is ready for it's first cut since last August!! Did you want a bodice like Boadiccea (sp)or Madonna? And I bet I knit holier bodices than Ann ;¬)) If this is a Pagan wedding... won't a white shroud, with a gold tasseled belt, bare feet, and some holly or ivy in your hair do the trick? Or was it a hippy wedding????? Sounds wonderful... I went to a Humanist one last August..... it was the most wonderful and inspiring, lovely wedding I think I have ever had the pleasure to attend.

Ann.... all that rain and I have had to water my hanging baskets... all two of them... they were out of the line of fire, so to speak, and have wilted a bit, poor things. Was T very very wet when he got in?

Maz, that sounds lovely.... much nicer than lumps of bricks and concrete... mine was like that a couple of weeks ago, lol, at the front and side, anyway.

Hiya Taff....... I've been in Bristol, lol...Yep... kidnapped, lol...... I loved it though... lasted much longer than last time they dusted me off and made me go out to play, so that is good. Had a lovely time spending R's hard earned dosh... might have to set him up with a second job to pay for it, lololol Only joking!!

~~~~~~~~~~ to Jean. Will answer pm next, I promise, lol....... hope it has arrived!
Love
Daff xxxx
Evening ladies all!
wet enuf for you all? we have had enough rain to last for a month today, and it's still crashing around the heavens.
BC is a holy bodice one that is blessed?? Tried E-Bay? there does seem to be a surfeit of those corset-type strapless thingamys on there - Kaliko seem to do a lot of 'em (I was merely researching you understand - lol)
Wouldn't wear one meself, cos it would show me vest and things!
Hope Daff is OK - she's no doubt chin-chatting with sisters!
Bi for now
Ann...
1) he needs a place to stay in London while he does some project for charity..I forgot to ask him why as I had given him a grumpy response to his polite request.......
2) ummm no it's not provocative actually, just flop like from the heat...lol...
3) I need it for a wedding...*winks.....
Oh forgot, plants bucked up, then got battered again, may have bucked up again but haven't been out to look. Sun shining here now, it has been a very strange day weatherwise today, talk about sunshine and showers, more sunshine and storms!!
AnninGlos
AnninGlos Report 6 Jul 2009 17:24
Erm BC Why?
a) is your hairdresser staying with you?
b) Are you draping yourself provocatively across the sofa and
c) do you want a gold celtic bodice?
ButtercupFields
ButtercupFields Report 6 Jul 2009 17:22
At last! The rains have come! It was even pleasant to get drenched on my way back from work...lol....
Sorry where are my manners. Good afternoon Daff wherever you are:-) and afternoon all. I felt sorry for your flowers Ann, all battered by the weather, hope they have recovered. Mine are gulping all that rain down greedily. Even my lone sunflower looks perky!
My hairdresser (have known him for years) is staying with me for a few days but have warned him to look away when he sees me draped listlessly on the sofa..sans everything. He agreed rather hastily I feel....lol...
I am now on a mission for some Celtic/Medieval goldy boddice like thingies....Anyone got any bright ideas? Somebody on GR always comes up with the answer:-)
Catch up later. BCXXX
