Good morning dear Daff:-) Well I have gotten over my anger at the deletion and all I will say is, how very shabby of GR and I still maintain that it was a 'glitch' in their system, as to think that someone on here could report such a lovely thread is...unthinkable!

Anyway, hope you had a restful night, Daff. Have woken up to brilliant sunshine and fingers crossed let it last for a few more days. Enjoy your day however you spend it:-) mwahhh to all...BC¬XX

Hi Daff, you are so naughty doing too much and tiring yourself out, we don't want you poorly again now you are doing so well.

I better not make any comments on the responses from gr or will end up on an enforced holiday but I am sure you can guess what I said when I read the sorry excuses for removing the threads.
Some saddo here somewhere who might one day realise how good the support threads especially are to people.

Went to Homebase yesterday and then b & q, now I am happy to look round for a while, altho get frustrated that I can't afford all the things I like, but o.h. is such a ditherer and never stays where he says he will be, I think I have mentioned before that I have been known to ask for a call to be put over the tannoy for him lol, as traipsing up and down aisles looking for him is so tiring. Can't ever find him when he disappears in supermarkets cos he isn't tall enough to show up over the shelves so you can imagine how difficult it is in diy places with shelves to the ceilings. Despite me getting him a mobile phone for Christmas over a year ago, he doesn't take it out with him or if he does, forgets to switch it on so I can't even track him down that way lol
I did find him eventually, and got him to buy me a coffee in the cafeteria which to my surprise was still open at past 6pm so I sat and relaxed while he shopped, well browsed, he didn't buy much but has some info now on garden gates etc and also what wood he wants to buy for shelving in the bathroom, oh and we did get a roll of wallpaper that will go half way up the walls, and got it reduced from almost a tenner to under £7 so that was good. Today he is planning to get on with the tiling, he said he couldn't get motivated yesterday so watched tv till I got up and chivvied him into action lol

Hope the weather stays bright so you can sit outside some of the time Daff and everyone, it was nice here but a cold wind, and got very chilly come evening. Oh well, it is only April.

mmm Ann.... R has said exactly the same thing... to *lose* one thread might be accidental, but two is more than that... Why on earth would anyone be jealous of what I had..... I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy, leave alone someone sad enough to report it, lol!!

Oh well, ill winds and biting on bums and all that... what goes around comes around, I do hope that IF this thread was reported, that person has the grace to feel ashamed of themselves. And I do hope they are never needing the support for the reasons I did... still do, cos it ain't over just yet, lol!!

but, and I am really puzzled here, if somebody complained, what did they find offensive, or inappropriate. It was just a thread to keep daff's spirits up. thank goodness it worked but it has been there for 6 months so why now?

My OH suggested it was somebody jealous of the attention they were not getting.

I have just woken up and logged on... yep, I have got the same e-mail.... I will be interested to find out what Taff's e-mail will say, as the author of the thread there should be a more in-depth explanation.

Ann, you are absolutely right, they should have let Taff know why they were deleting it. There were no T & C's broken in it at all.... and if someone has reported it, well, shame on them because there but for the grace of God go they.
I would like them spend a week working on the ward and see what courage is shown by so many people. Then they should hang their heads in shame,
Oh I know the grammar is dreadful... but the sentiments are real!!

I haven't had an answer yet but what do they mean inappropriate and why has it taken them 6 months to decide that? Inappropriate to what? The gen board, Genes, any chat forum???

Can't really comment until I get my answer but I don't think we should let it rest there. wonder if the introduction thread was also inappropriate. And if this is the case would it not be polite to warn the owner of the thread that they were about to delete it?

I agree BC - a less "inappropriate" thread I have yet to read and add to.

It only shows that they dont know their "a**se" from their elbow (as my old welsh grannie used to say). I'm not quite sure what that means, but it sounds about right for this situation - lol

Lovely day here - nice yesterday but north wind, so a bit cool and I think I may have signs of hayfever (or else Jackson the cat allergy - he's been sniffing about and head-butting me quite a lot lately - I think he's in lurve!)

Hello Daff, so glad you are getting about, and yes, you must be exhausted, but pleased at making the effort.......glad your Mum enjoyed her birthday and you are getting some warmer weather at last.....

......you have to what??........ wait until the 10th May to see the eye candy again......why, that is 30 whole days away........can't you take some secret photos to look at.......lol.....

......sorry Mr. Daff, only joking..... I hope the garden is looking a picture, and May is coming up and I think it is always the best of months, bringing out all the greenery and flowers.....

btw .... a nice lady who lives in Wales gave me some Welsh cakes......I didn't know they existed.......so nice with a bit of butter on.......she said to toast them as well.......but OH got them, so I didn't have a chance to try......his blood sugar was 14 this morning.......that will teach him to pinch my present......lol.....x sally
