My wife's always had a cat sometimes more than one. When we bought this bungalow she had recently lost one.She took to feeding any strays at our back door. She took one off a neighbour. The same neighbour had another that she was leaving out not feeding. So my wife adopted it. It had kittens, so we have four who re named Izzy, Fifi, Alfie and Fluffy. They're all doctored, four's enough.

Morning all

Happy birthday to Frog. Did you remember to take a candle to stick in his cup-cake??
You ought to log onto GR more often over-night. Its simple enough to come out of the site if you get tied up with something else.

David – we’ve never had a pet unless you count goldfish or a succession of hamsters. I’d have liked a dog, but now we can get up and go when ever we want, we wouldn’t want the responsibility or restrictions.

Not sure what plans we have for today. At some point in the near future, I need to get a photo to renew my passport. Will it be today?? That’s an excuse for a coffee’n’ a bun if ever there was.

Enjoy your day.

Morning all, just back from the dentist. Just a check up and a polish. Not too bad on the wallet :-D :-D :-D.

3 Cats here David all belonging to my daughter. The old one (Fenix)was found as a stray dumped at about 4 weeks old and too young to leave Mum so we homed her and nursed her to good health. She is 14 next month. Then the 2 orientals(Tigger and Chicco) moved in with daughter and 2 girls when her marriage split and we decided the move to Liverpool was too much for them so we adopted them. We did have another old lady (Fuzzy)who had to be put to sleep last Easter aged 18.due to ill health.
We have also got about 50 fish in a large pond outside so it is quite a menagerie here :-D :-D :-D.

Easy day for me today as I have some research to do and print off for tomorrows trip to the Belfry.

18 is elderly for a cat LG. My wife's first ginger cat that she had from straight off the tit.
It was a predator, used to even catch rabbits, and eat them. She had him for years.
Had several since but she grieved for Ginger for a long time.

I took on my Mother in laws cat when she passed away. She was 20 when she came to me and I had her two years. Unfortunately and spookily she passed away from a stroke exactly two years to the day (Boxing Day) of my darling M I L Amazing age I wonder what is so good in this family as her previous cat was 21 when she passed.

+++DetEcTive+++ Report 15 Mar 2016 16:10

LG - she must have had some sort of magic ingredient to add to the cat's feed. Either that or they had a shared genetic predisposition for a long life!

Checked the passport and found it doesn't run out until November, so no rush. All the same we went to the Mall where there is a photo booth, then had a coffee and almond croissant. We had a quick chat with some elderly neighbours who use the same outlet for their 'go for coffee' outings. We probably haven't had the opportunity to speak to them for over a year!

It's all right for some :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D Coffees and a natter :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D

Would anyone like to come over and help me for the rest of the week, Staff member no. 2 of 2 has gone off sick and I can't handover now for next week when I am off :-( :-( I spoke to the CEO yesterday during the staff surgery and we are not getting any extra help for the next 12 months at least :-0 :-0 :-0 :-0 :-0 I can only do what I can do in the hours given. The rest will just have to wait even longer :-( :-(

I had two lovely cats that used to live round the corner, but I don't think they liked the alsatian in the family and they adopted me. Not sure of their ages, although my neighbour said they had been around for a good few years. I lost one 4 years ago and the other one in September 2013. I am really a 'dog' person, but can't cope with one whilst out at work, so could finish up dog sitting the family's dog at weekends if they finally to decide to buy one :-D :-D I still miss the cats and was very attached to them, but I don't miss the fur on the carpets and clothes :-D :-D

The shedding of fur from 4 cats sometimes peas me off.
The only way around it is regular grooming.
I know some neighbours wont come in because of them :-\

YG

YG Report 15 Mar 2016 18:05

They used to love being brushed and I removed loads of fur, but it still came out in tufts!!
