With your sleeping patterns it's not surprising you nodded off David.
Why painted toe nails YG? Are you hardy enough to be wearing open-toed shoes? :-S

We pottered down to the garden centre with a half price plant voucher. Couldn't see anything we would be prepared to buy even if the half price was the 'normal' one so came home again.
It's not that warm outside!

Afternoon all. Cracked on with a load of Project work yesterday as I was here on my own. OH got in just after one , no silverware this time DET as he is just breaking in a new engine and it still needs a bit of a tweak here and there.

hello every one The Matches are a few miles away but all the pubs will be playing the game and the results will be heard for ages lol
as they both have a point out of the match it will be noisy ,living where live the bishops play nearby and the Quakers ( darlo) have been using the ground also .Then there is the Borough its manic here with teams

YG

YG Report 20 Mar 2016 16:34

Toe nails are always painted, DET, even right through the winter :-D :-D :-D

Both back lawns and the side cut !! Just the front to do another day :-) It does look better, but think I could do with it all rotavating and relaying. Another option is artificial grass, but it would cost me a fortune to have the whole garden done.

Wasn't there anything in the garden centre worth having, DET? Perhaps it's a little too early yet.

Hi Maz, you have bee at work, so I hope you are chilling out now :-)

I have put a casserole in the oven so there will be dumplings tonight :-D :-D

+++DetEcTive+++ Report 20 Mar 2016 18:02

Just think - you'd have to have a proper garden vav to clean the 'grass' YG. PC's downstairs neighbour has one on her back area. She must have chosen a cheap one as it looks just like a green carpet. Its horrible.

My goodness, what a large number of teams in your area Maz. Bread (or Beer) and Circuses comes to mind.

Shame your Driver didn't win this time LG, but at least its only the beginning of the season. Its good someone else had a chance. ;-)

David - have you managed to sit in a drivers seat since your accident? Will you still be able to reach the wheel if you have to have the seat a long way back to accomdate your leg?

OH is doing a stir-fry with some of yesterdays lamb. He says there is still enough left for tomorrow. I made some parsnip soup, not that he'll indulge. That will suit me for a couple of lunchtimes.

I am off to work tonight I have had a lazy afternoon watching one of my DVDs Gervais Phinn I have read a lot of his books but not seen him doing his shows very good he is

YG

YG Report 20 Mar 2016 18:09

Mmm, I would probably spend longer vacuuming the garden than the carpets, based on the size of it, DET :-D :-D

I like soup at lunctime, but it comes out of a tin!! I have, on occasions, made potato and leek soup and it was very nice. I don't like pea and ham :-( :-(

My casserole must be nearly cooked. I must go and make the dumplings, but don't tell LG or she will be wanting some ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-)

+++DetEcTive+++ Report 20 Mar 2016 18:19

Can't say I've heard of him Maz, although the book synopsis look funny. If you're off to work this evening, fingers crossed you'll have a quiet shift.

YG - although I'll eat the occasional tin of soup, after home-made ones they taste too much of MSG, in my opinion! Its a shame OH will only eat mine if I make a fuss. I've a fairly small repertoire - aside from the parsnip, there's leek and potato, carrot and coriander, and cream of cauliflower although I've only done that once.
Most of the time its to use up veggies or if we spot something on the reduced supermarket shelf.

It sounds as if your Sunday Casserole is becoming a fixture - lol .

YG

YG Report 20 Mar 2016 18:25

The casserole takes a lot attention that a roast dinner and I can get on with other things, or just sit with my feet up, depending how I feel! I do enjoy them and there isn't much goes to waste.

I still have some ironing to do, but might tackle it this evening, as the tv is rubbish tonight!!

Right I'm here for my dumplings :-D :-D :-D :-D. Just had our tea and cleared away. Now sat printing and scanning again :-D :-D :-D :-D.

Our fella might have won if his wheel hadn't dropped off :-0

+++DetEcTive+++ Report 20 Mar 2016 19:19

Ooops :-( :-(
That could have been disasterous for his safety.

If you're quick. YG might have a spare dumpling left. ;-)

Newcastle United only managed a 1 - 1 draw against their arch rivals Sunderland today, and Sunderland scored the first goal

Things are worsening at St Jame's Park despite a new manager with an out clause
should Newcastle be relegated

He should have been in the changing room telling his team
You're NOT going to ******* lose in front of this lot

David

David Report 20 Mar 2016 19:36

Det, the plan is to open the door of an automatic, hold the door and the roof of the car
and reach straight inflexible right leg over the sill into the corner of the foot well.
Bend right knee and lower bum on to squab of driver's seat. Bring left leg into car, close car door. Seat belt on, get comfortable, ignition...drive

Driving a car with a manual transmission would be impossible

YG

YG Report 20 Mar 2016 19:57
