That's what I'm going to do tomorrow, LG. I will more than likely go back to bed with a cuppa and my kindle for an hour and enjoy the relaxation :-) :-)

I'm just watching the end of a programme and a bit of the news, then I am diving into that big soft fluffy bed :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D

I don't blame you YG. I don't think we will be too long in snuggling under the duvet :-D

I'm off now, LG :-)

Sleep well, and I will catch you tomorrow :-) <3

Morning all

Did you manage to get the bins out, or did you over sleep YG? ;-)
Take it easy today and follow LG's example & only potter.

Good to hear the phone turned up David. At least it didn't end up in the washing machine. That could have been really expensive!

LG - our Surgery doesn't have general appointments late evening either, although they do run a 'Well Womans' session on a frequent basis. In the last few years they've started offering appointments from 07.30-08.30, the normal opening time. As the front door is locked, you have to be buzzed in. Often people have a minor ailment/problem that doesn't need time off work, but does need treatment or a referal. Its a good idea aimed at those who are working.

Morning all. I am still pottering (well sitting on my Butt) . I have decided to sort out all the Household paperwork that is very ancient and dispose of it. Sitting here quite comfy in my office with a nice cup of coffee to hand :-D :-D

YG Report 24 Mar 2016 10:38

Morning everyone :-)

I managed to get the bins out!! I set the alarm for 7.30, got up and made a cuppa and put them out before I forgot!! I have been languishing on the sofa ever since, apart from doing two loads of washing :-D :-D

I think I will potter today. I might go to do the food shop, but on the other hand >>>>> I am still in a 'might do', 'might not do' mood :-D :-D :-D :-D I don't want to be too lazy and become lethargic or nothing will get done :-D :-D

Morning YG. I have already been out and picked up my prescription so the rest of the day is mine to do as I please (or not) ;-)

Morning LG & YG

Sorting and Shredding can be very satisfying :-D
What irritates me is when something could be filed in 2 different places. Brain Freeze and put the kettle on ;-)

YG - just do something you fancy. The world won't end if you don't.

I'm trying to write out/collate our May sessions on the main and homemade calendars. We're going to be knackered by half term.

YG Report 24 Mar 2016 10:56

You will need to be putting your feet up then, DET :-0 :-0 :-0 :-0 Will you have finished then, or are there more to do in June?

+++DetEcTive+++

+++DetEcTive+++ Report 24 Mar 2016 11:19

There'll be more in June, then they'll probably add end of year internals to July.

Yes - it will literally be feet up after standing in one spot for up to 2 1/2 hours, and if it involved an early (for us) start, a nana/grandad nap in the afternoon. It'll be hard staying awake if we also have to work after lunch in a small, too hot, room!

YG

YG Report 24 Mar 2016 15:08

Oh crikey, you are going to be going full steam ahead then for a few weeks :-0 :-0

I have been and done a part food shop. The traffic was very slow, so I didn't attempt to go down to the M&S Food Hall, so just got what I needed from Sain* and came home. Everything put away and just had a mid afternoon snack, so am having a bit of relaxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxation for a while :-D :-D

+++DetEcTive+++

+++DetEcTive+++ Report 24 Mar 2016 16:02

Don't blame you for avoiding M&S Food Hall - it would probably be manic because its a long weekend. Its a strange phenomina as the shops will be open every day except Easter Sunday!

The ironing has at last been done after being put off for a couple of days + a bit of the dreaded. OH got in a muddle trying to complete some forms on the dot Gov site. He needed to be rescued from that! He may be technologically minded, but finds 'Admin' confusing.
He's gone to commune with his pieces of wood now ;-)

YG

YG Report 24 Mar 2016 16:24

Good girl, DET :-D :-D I'll send mine over now :-D You will need something to do while your OH is busy with his wood ;-) ;-)

R has just sent a text from Cyprus to ask if I am ok :-) :-) The temperature there is ranging from 20 - 25degs, so very pleasant. I am quite jealous of the warm weather and blue skies.

+++DetEcTive+++

+++DetEcTive+++ Report 24 Mar 2016 16:43

There's plenty of things to do if I put my mind to it! You can keep yours thank you very much :-P :-D

Lucky R being away somewhere warm, but nice that he'd thought to send you a message. He isn't rubbing it in, is he??

Have a word with LG and find out when her holiday is - although we can't promise Cyprus heat, you could come and stay in our spare room for a few days when she's darn suff. This little corner of England does tend to be warmer than the rest!

YG

YG Report 24 Mar 2016 17:40

That's really nice of you to offer, DET. LG normally has the same two weeks as I do, but I haven't checked out the dates yet :-)

All darn suff is warmer than up here, DET!!

R wasn't rubbing it in! I think he is quite relieved that it isn't any hotter. They went a couple of years ago in August and it was much too hot. He has already burnt his nose in the lower temperatures :-D :-D

+++DetEcTive+++ Report 24 Mar 2016 18:09

Did I every tell you about the only time we went to Cyprus?

It must have been early July after PC had done her exams.

The first day of 7 we went to the beach. PC bought herself a pink lilo. After smothering the front of her legs in sunscreen, she decided to go on to the sea with it. (We'd bought tacky T shirts to wear to avoid our torsos being burnt.)

At one point, I'd noticed that she'd turned onto her front and thought about swimming out to reminder about not having sunscreen on her now exposed back, but didn't. OH had thought the same.
By the evening she was burnt to a crisp. She spent the rest of our holiday in our room, smothered in a chemist purchased after-sun.

Two days before we were due to fly home, the skin was still red, sore and taut. We took her to a doctors who admitted her to a private hospital, put her on a drip (she was dehyrdrated) and soothed some other type of gunk on her legs.

To add to the disaster, we managed to 'lose' her. The taxi drive from our hotel the next day asked if she was at the Little hospital, at least thats what I thought he'd said. Except she wasn't! He did remember the name of a different 'tourist' hospital which thankfully was the right one :-)

It wasn't a good year - my dad had had a stroke. Initially they thought the clot was a brain tumour. My mum had died about 3 days before we went away, and we came home to attended her funeral 2 days later.
That was the first holiday we'd had abroad for about 10 years & the last one when any of the children came with us. Something 'not good' always happened when they did, whether it was in the UK or Europe.

YG Report 24 Mar 2016 19:02

Evening Maz & LG :-)

It sounds as though we have all been pottering and doing little today :-D :-D That has to be a 'first' and needs to go down in history in the vaults of Nut Lodge ;-) ;-) :-D :-D

DET, that was a devastating week for you all. No wonder you didn't want to repeat it. I have every sympathy for PC as I cooked myself to a crisp in Greece and was poorly for most of the week and on the flight home!! Luckily a retired doctor lived next door to us and gave me some tablets to settle the sickness. I was going into hospital a couple of weeks later and fortunately my skin had healed. The one advantage was looking really well after an operation with my tan :-D :-D :-D :-D
