I made all 3 mini Gooners Aran jackets. I love doing the cable and the patterns it is not as boring as plain stitch. Our indoor market has a stall which I frequent for buttons etc and also some wool if it is something for a particular project.

Hold onto the harbour wall Maz or you will take off :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D.

Hope all goes well tomorrow YG you never know it might be a quick visit. Sometimes we have been pleasantly surprised how soon we have been in and out of the clinic with OH.

YG, it's been a few years since she'd let my touch her :(

Have you ever taken a garment apart for the wool
Did knitting machines ever catch on?

Have ice cream on me Maz

Too much information David ;-)

Knitting machines were popular in the 1980's, and possibly before. I've a vague recollection of playing with my mother's, so that must have been 1950's - 1960's?

There's still an interest in them

YG Report 28 Mar 2016 15:17

You've still got to stitch them together by hand, even if they are made on a knitting machine though, haven't you!! That is my downfall :-D :-D :-D

David, you are naughty :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D ;-)

Oven done, window frame, window and vertical blind cleaned :-D :-D Did I inspire you, DET!! I hate oven cleaning and I broke a nail in the process, so not a happy bunny :-( :-( :-(

Sit down time before tackling the tops of the cupboards :-D :-D

+++DetEcTive+++ Report 28 Mar 2016 16:14

Well, I did clean the kitchen windows.
OH came out and said "Let there be light!". It's more a case of 'Let the spots be gone', you know, the splashes from the sink.

Although chilly, it's been sunny for most of the day. Our garden bin is nearly full of fallen twigs/small branches from the tree in the front.

YG

YG Report 28 Mar 2016 16:32

Whoo hoo, DET :-D Clean windows! We're a matching pair :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D

It has been sunny this afternoon, although still quite breezy and cool. At least it keeps me indoors doing something ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-)

Tomorrow's agenda could be the bathroom, or the two hallways. It depends how I feel when I get up and how long I sit over breakfast :-D :-D

+++DetEcTive+++ Report 28 Mar 2016 16:39

Sounds as if you'll still be busy then - shame about your broken finger nail!

As I'm meeting a friend for lunch tomorrow, there's not much chance that much will be done indoors.

YG

YG Report 28 Mar 2016 16:47

You are entitled to a day off and lunch out!!

I will only be doing things in the morning because of my appointment. The weather on Wednesday is supposed to good oop norf, so it might be a gardening day :-D

LaGooner Report 29 Mar 2016 09:01

Morning one and all. Just a quick look in as I have to go and see one of my researchers to collect some more soldiers. Hopefully the blue sky and sunshine lasts as I need to get out in the garden and do a bit more pruning ready for green bag collection tomorrow. If it rains I have a huge pile of ironing to do so I will not be bored :-P :-P. Have a good day one and all and good luck with the clinic YG <3

Morning all

It's all go for you LG, isn't it? Do you dream about your soldiers? :-D
Hope you manage to get in the garden today. It's strange how everyone rushes just before bin day. Have you taken the bank holiday into account? Ours get shifted from the normal for a couple of weeks until they catch up with themselves.

Good luck at the clinic today YG.

Maz, did you bring back a stick of rock for everyone? What was the weather like at the coast?

YG

YG Report 29 Mar 2016 10:27

Morning everyone :-)

It has been raining here, but the sun is coming out now, although heavy rain forecast this afternoon. They are often wrong, so here's hoping :-D :-D :-D

Our green bin collection is only put back by one day, as they normally work on the Saturday to make up for Good Friday. The only we ever have a long wait is for the black bin during the unmentionable season/New Year holiday.

LG, don't forget to share your soldiers!! You have had more than enough for yourself :-D :-D :-D

I bet my family are pleased that they do not fly home from Cyprus until Saturday, as they will be at Larnaca airport where the hijacking has taken place. According to a tweet, people are being transferred to Paphos today, so it will be a long, long day for them. It is very concerning that, with the threats today, he actually managed to get through security.

There used to be this guy came once a week to wash my wheelie bins out. Charged £10 for about 10 mins work so I sacked him. He started coming on a different day and taking the tenner from my wife.
This persisted until I had a heated row with him (didn't go down well with my neighbours) He never came back and I wouldn't expect a reference from him

Still awaiting the forms for my blue disability badge from my Civic Centre

Did you get used to Win10 yet?

YG

YG Report 29 Mar 2016 17:06

Hi David :-)

Yes, I am getting used to it, but there are still things that they are going to be adding in the future, eg you cannot delete any folders from your Windows mail like you used to be able to with Win 8.1. According to the forum, Microsoft are going to make it a feature in the not too distant future :-0

There are some really useful bits though and as we are having the same software installed on our pcs at work, it is a good opportunity to get to know it before I have to use it in the office ;-)

Just back from the hospital and it was a general appointment at the virtual clinic for my normal scans. They have started sending out a different letter that confused the issue :-0 At least was only there for 45 mins and had to wait 30 mins for a taxi, so enjoyed a cuppa and a piece of cake in the cafe in outpatients while I was waiting :-D :-D

David can you not download your Blue Badge form. We can here in Bedfordshire.

Pleased all went well for you YG <3 <3

YG

YG Report 29 Mar 2016 17:42

Hi LG :-)

David, you could also apply online on the Direct Gov website https://www.gov.uk/apply-blue-badge or search blue badge online to find your local government web address.

David

David Report 29 Mar 2016 17:50

I looked for it online, couldn't find it .I contacted DVLA and asked them. Was refered to my Civic Centre.

The Cortona feature is helpful. Just describe the problem and comes back with your solution, if one id available.

LaGooner Report 29 Mar 2016 18:18

Evening YG :-D :-D :-D. Do you want a soldier then ;-) :-D :-D :-D. I have about 20 here at the moment :-D
