Thank you LG, if they are all scanned it accomplishes that which I was suggesting.

In 1974 I worked in a large builders / plumbers merchant at Wallsend.
I remember being on the telephone to Potterton at Warwick and my telephone call cut off, me trying to get the operator to reconnect me and my wondering why every one else was fleeing down the corridor. Years of paper records up in the roof space above the offices had caught fire (electrical fault) The entire building burned down!! :-0 :-0

So the twins are soon to be here? How exciting! You did say when their natural due date would be – was it at the end of the month?

What? No fire alarm David? Perhaps it wasn’t compulsory for smaller buildings/organisations. I’m sure the place(s) I was working in during the 1970’s had them installed.

Enjoy your day off tomorrow Maz. It’s certainly been colder than it has been. Although it’s been dry for most of the day, we had some sharp, heavy showers in the late afternoon.

Evening DET. It is exciting isn't it.

Evening, Nut Lodgers :-) :-) :-) :-)

They were due around end of April. The hospital decided to keep her in yesterday, but there were no beds, so this afternoon they were preparing to break her waters. They think she will have to stay in for about 4 days after they are born, but everything appears to be ok.

LaGooner Report 6 Apr 2016 21:47

Make sure you keep us posted YG. Poor girl will have her hands full with twins.

YG

YG Report 6 Apr 2016 22:10

She certainly will, LG!! I can't wait to hear what she has had. There are bets on one of each, two boys and two girls from various family members and I rather suspect that her Mum would like one of each or two girls as her youngest daughter already has a boy. Time will tell. They are both pretty good weights so I am sure she will be pleased to get them out ;-) ;-)

Morning all, I wonder if the twins have arrived yet. Double trouble as my late MIL said and she should know she had 2 sets :-0 :-0 :-0. I'll vouch for half of that statement as I married one of them :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D

Morning all

We'll probably have to wait until tea time for an update. :-)
I do hope they'll let her stay in for a few days after the birth. It's one thing with a quick discharge if it's you're 2nd child where you know what you're doing & something else it it's your first! Having to look after 2 new borns from a first confinement would be horrendous!

We're supposed to be visiting the inlaws today. OH always says we'll be there mid-morning, then gets up late :-|

Enjoy your trip to the shops.

Do you shop among the fancy shops in the City?

LaGooner

LaGooner Report 7 Apr 2016 11:28

I'm quite a way away from a City David. We are country Bumpkins here. Nearest city is Peterborough which I have only been to 3 times. I much prefer my little village Towns.

I'd imagined you as being a short under ground or taxi ride from Regent Street

We just had a very heavy down pour with hail stone

Afternoon everyone :-)

The twins are here!! Two boys, the first born at 9.40am, 5lb 4oz and the second at 9.55am at 5lbs 8oz. No names yet, though nicknamed Squishy and Squashy as one was laid sideways! Mum and boys doing well and some very proud grandparents :-) :-) :-) :-) :-)

I think they are planning to keep them and Mum in for about 4 days :-)
