Good evening every one.
I notice your interest in Ancestry and obviously genealogy.
My interest in genealogy began after my parents died. As my Father was (is) Irish, Northern Ireland, Belfast I've found his side of the family tree harder to trace than Mothers.Apart from Parish records, the Irish records only got started in the mid 1800's
I have my tree recorded up to GGGF on both sides. What a pity I didn't ask more about their relations and back grounds while I had the chance.

David, I have the sentiments about not asking my parents and grandparents more. Much too late now, I'm afraid :-(

LG, our two boys are the same age :-)

Evening David. I asked but they would not tell me the truth. Now I know why ;-). We have had OH's tree traced right back to the Princes of Wales before Llewelyn who is one of his Ancesters. My side I have got back on Paternal side to approx. 1340 YG my baby will be 29 this year :-0 :-0 :-0.

YG

YG Report 16 Apr 2016 21:45

YG Report 16 Apr 2016 22:05

I've got enough to cope with already, with the one that I have!! He really still is my one and only baby :-)

LaGooner Report 16 Apr 2016 22:11

:-D :-D :-D :-D. YG. They are always our babies aren't they. One of my little ones came over earlier all six foot five of him :-D :-D :-D

YG

YG Report 16 Apr 2016 22:15

Mine is not well at the moment and is going to be undergoing urgent spinal surgery within the next week or so, so I'm really worried about him at the moment :-| :-|

LaGooner

LaGooner Report 16 Apr 2016 22:21

I do hope all goes well for him YG. It must be such a worry for you <3

YG

YG Report 16 Apr 2016 22:30

I hope so too, LG. His consultant has viewed his MRI scan whilst on holiday in Dubai and contacted his secretary asking her to text R to tell him to meet with him on Monday evening after he returns to the UK. He wasn't due to see him for another two weeks.

I am off to bed now as I was up at 5am and feeling more than tired tonight.

Sleep well :-) <3

Morning everyone :-)

A solid blue sky this morning and that yellow orb shining brightly :-D :-D :-D

I enjoyed an hour in bed reading and relaxing and have now done a load of washing and started dinner preparations.

Breakfast time now, then some ironing and I might cut some of the grass later when all the neighbours are wide awake :-D :-D :-D

It's amazing what a good night's sleep does for you
if you could put it in a bottle you name your price

Morning all

No wonder you're worried YG, but at least your son is in excellent hands. He is fortunate that his health insurance will cover the treatment as some policies have an upper limit.

You have been busy since you got up! I got my nose stuck in a book and lost track if time :-0

LG - did OH come home in a good mood or cursing and swearing about the weather? As you didn't go out yesterday, are you taking the porter today?

Maz - it must be convenient having large shops in walking distance, but a great temptation if you've only gone in for a few bits.

David, perhaps you ought to accept that you won't get a solid nights sleep and nap when you feel tired. Everyone is different. Life would be boring if we were all the same.

Not sure what, if any, plans we have for today. At least it's sunny!!

YG Report 17 Apr 2016 11:15

Morning DET :-)

The QGP is at risk now :-( M has offered to travel with me and would no doubt be happy to spend 3 hours mooching round Harrods etc, but it would mean that I have to attend on my own and it would be very lonely :-( R may be recovered sufficiently in time, but we just don't know yet. I do have the option to cancel, but cannot change who attends with me unfortunately :-(

Off to do the ironing now or I will sit here all day!!

Enjoy the sunshine! Lunch outside today?? :-) :-)

David

David Report 17 Apr 2016 13:15

Det, all my life I slept on my left hand side, until March 2013
Since then I've slept on my back. I ought to be used to it by now
but it's not comfortable in so many ways... que sara

Mazfromnorf Report 17 Apr 2016 14:35

all our aches and pains we need a warm sunny climate zapped by the warmth then we would have no pain .its very overcast still but dry so far the top half of the house is good so just chilling before doing the lower half .

LG seems to think her joints are worse when it's warm. There's no pleasing some people ;-)
It sounds as if you're going great guns Maz. It'll soon be done especially if Frog lending a hand??

Not warm enough to sit outside YG, unless you've got a fleece on. It's about 10c and falling. That may be warm to you northerners, but not for us down south! We had a quick potter in the garden, preparing the ground and sowing grass seeds. That's the patch destroyed by the gas boards spoil heap. Half a bucket of aggregate and chalk had to be picked out first :-|
The left over compost we'd dug out of the bin has been put on the raised beds/boxes. Theres still loads left in there. I think we need to stop putting egg shells in the mix. Grit is good but a bit labour intensive having to crumble them by hand.

David , have you spoken to a physio about your sleeping position? They might suggest arranging pillows a certain way to make it more comfortable.
