Annx Report 7 Apr 2025 19:03

Evening All,

Another sunny day. We are being so spoilt before the promised rain arrives mid month.

The reports, whenever they were made, were on 15 year old posts on the thread, not reporting the thread itself and were just after you decided to start the thread again Mel. Even Jane's only comment I can see about the reporting was at the same time, 15 years ago as well. Maybe an explanation is that your post was reported then, GR reinstated it and since then someone else didn't like the post for some reason and it has been reported again or accidentally reported as AnnG suggested?? :-S

You got quite a few of your miniatures made Mel. Do you get customers that are regular?

I didn't get on very well today. The squatting slightly weeding yesterday made my knees ache, so I gave the garden a miss today. I popped to the shop then called at the bathroom place and couldn't find the coloured samples I was interested in and a helpful lady said they 'walk' and gave me a knowing look, but gave me the company phone number so I can request samples from them. I thought I'd just check what the sink and vanity units I've whittled down looked like again, only to find some have disappeared and they have another new catalogue out with different ones and some of the ones from the old catalogue are still for sale in the showroom. How confusing!!!

The schools here break up on this Friday too. It must look lovely in DIL's house with all the flowers Mandy and someone is going to be busy topping up the vases. It's a good job you were able to pass some vases to her after going through your own.

It took both of us to wheel the garden bin on the front as it is crammed full and the drive has quite a slope. Do you all get the same instructions that the bins have to be left on the edge of your property with the bin handles pointing to the road like we do? Also the lids must be fully closed.

Mel, I am confused. You don’t need your password. Just go into your emails as you do when you are sending something to us. Put the address you’ve been given by Von in the To: section and then put in a subject as normal and whatever you want to say. It is just an ordinary email you are sending.

I had a message from a Von telling me another support email so I tried it but it won't accept my password.

AnninGlos

I can’t see any reason why this thread should be reported, hopefully they will sort it out soon. I too can remember the phantom reporter, did anyone ever find out who was doing it?

AnninGlos

AnninGlos Report 7 Apr 2025 16:06

Hello Elizabeth. Pleased that you enjoy the posts and it is good to see you on here. Hope that you are well.

Vera, It is so annoying when the bed gets forgotten. I am feeling pleased with myself as this morning I managed to get a duvet cover onto the spare duvet for the put u up. Being not very tall it is easy to get taken over by the duvet :-D

They have been known to just delete a thread when there is a review request Vera so I hope they don't do that..

Dear All

Hello

Hope you are all okay and well,

Just popped on to say I love reading your posts and
whoever reported the thread must be very bored. <3

Take gentle care
Love EOS

I would be interested to know what the reporter gave as his/her reason for requesting a review but Genes are unlikely to tell Mel that. I just hope Genes look at it properly and don't just decide to whoosh it anyway.

It's another blue sky and sunshine day, though there is still a bit of a chilly breeze. I've done all the washing that had been piling up and a bit of housework, including steam cleaning the kitchen floor, but haven't got around to gardening and am feeling a bit weary now.

Thanks for the advice about the phygelius spreading Annx. It will be fine in the pot I've put it in for this year and next year I'll put it in a very large one. I've got a big one that had a buddleia in it so that should do fine.

Those tiny clay pipes sound very fiddly to make Mel. You'll have to send us a photo if you manage to do them.

Cold chicken and salad for us tonight so a nice easy meal. Oops, I am getting forgetful. I've just remembered that I stripped my bed this morning and I haven't remade it. Better go and do that now before I forget again.

I have only just read your posts and I can't find where to get in touch with GR. I see there are lots of posts from Jne that have neen requested to review.

I did put on there that why is my thread requested to review. It said answers within so many days.

AnninGlos

AnninGlos Report 7 Apr 2025 09:47

I just noticed that. I think somebody might have made a mistake but I hope it doesn't mean the thread will automatically be cancelled. Maybe Mel needs to email support.

Our schools break up on 11 April (Friday) As I think do Hampshire schools.

Will be back later but I just wondered if anyone else has noticed Mel’s first post on this thread has been reported for review. It’s nearly 15 years old fgs!

Morning girls,

Bright sunny morning so far and pc says 8 degrees and mostly sunny so another lovely day I think. Arn't we lucky with the weather at the mo?

Nothing planned for today just muddle along and do whatever I wish. I have a little parcel to post and shall try online again which sves my diesel.

Emm came for eggs as I said yesterday and she told me the boys have broken up for the Easter Holidays so I may hear some noise. The only noisse I really hear from them is the football being used between them.

Glad DIL had a lovely birthday and many flowers Mandy. I always remember one Mothers Day present my son bought me. It was a packet of cooured primrose seed and I sowed them and had hundreds come up.

MillymollyAmanda Report 7 Apr 2025 09:10

Morning all,

Frost here this morning I could see the car roof was white when we got up but the suns soon melted it .

Ann thanks for dil's birthday wishes it was like a florists shop in their lounge as she still had her mother's day flowers as well as birthday flowers she had to hunt for a vase for tye flowers we took ,I had given her some of my vases when I had a sort through my cupboard.

Not sure what we're doing today, might have a go at the greenhouse but son and dil did say they would do it ,they are coming either tomorrow or Wednesday to put the canopy on the gazebo .

Anng it might be busy in town if the schools have broken up for Easter like they have here ,they finished Friday for two and a half weeks .

AnninGlos

AnninGlos Report 7 Apr 2025 07:31

Good morning all. 0 degree here but clear and sunny. I can't see any signs of a frost but I guess there might have been one earlier. The only young plants I have out are half a dozen lettuce and I did cover them last night so hopefully will be ok.

Mel at least by not gardening you got ahead with your other hobby, sounds like you got a lot done there.

Ann, good idea for your OH to put the ring away until his weight stabilises
I am different, I have always liked rings and have 7 on at the moment, would normally be eight but one gets a bit tight when it is hot so it is on my dressing table. I wear them all the time. I can't see the point in having them these days and not wearing them if they give me pleasure. None of them are big heavy rings though

Vera. That was a pity that the pot had to break but at least you have managed to repot it.

I was thinking about going in to town but The past couple of days the roads have been gridlocked as a large water main needed repairing on a busy main road into the town and there were other road closures elsewhere. It took people 3 hours to get out of the B&Q car park in town. the store were giving car drivers free bottles of water. So, as I don't actually need to go, I shall stay here.

Mel Fairy Godmother Report 6 Apr 2025 22:07

Not done anything much today I've had a day off gardening s my hips and knees have been a bit painful so maybe tomorrow I will do a bit more. I have a nice empty big trailer BIL emptied for me so I am going to bring it round by my pond and clear along the side so I can see the paving slabs again. I also need to cut the rose back at the end of the decking where the new plastic greenhouse will go when I can get someone to put it up for me and screw it down.

Did a bit of painting this morning of bread and 5 trenchers and a stoneware bottle and a raised tudor pie with colour on the top. I also have had a request for some tiny clay pipes and I have had a go but don't think they are any good. I cooked them this morning and hav'nt looked at them yet.

Annx Report 6 Apr 2025 18:55

I missed you there Vera! It's a shame about your pot breaking, but I have had two break this winter and both had been fine outside for years. I found my Phygelius was a bit too vigorous in the garden and started spreading and I dug it out in the end, so keep an eye on yours if you plant it in the garden so you can curb it's enthusiasm if necessary.. They do have lovely flowers though.
