Our sky is as clear as clear can be and all studded with sparkling stars. The wind has dropped too but I am wondering if this is the calm before the storm as Jane said earlier. I hope we don't get it......

Oh I see everythings ok now Mandy.......must be going blind not seeing that in your post. I think it was the best thing asking your sister what she wants. That sounds like a nice present........I would like that!!

My friend that had the brain scan has said that they all came out normal as did the tests. If the headaches don't improve in a day or two she has to go back to the doc.

Will the houses in the development you looked at the plans for be near you Jane? The building in the field near us is much noisier than I expected and starts really early........sets the dog off at times as well.

Baby James is doing fine ,and William too .I think he is a bit clingy at the moment as he is not sure about this 'new arrival' .But all in all they are good

Your hair looks smashing Fiona. Taking the weight off it has given it a lift hasn't it. Less of it to wash and dry now which may be more comfortable for you! Yes, I find 1 candle is quite enough now as well. I love teal colour too......I want to do a necklace that colour. Those pedi things look good for removing hard skin.....it seems to happen as you get older.

I didn't know about the walled garden Jane.......OH was saying about going somewhere tomorrow as well.......but awful weather forecast as you say.

OH had to go to the tyre place as that same tyre was going flat again. Nothing wrong with it they said, but thought it must have moved away at the rim so blew it up hard first to get it back in place. OH was a bit sheepish when he got home and said I was probably right telling him off for clipping the kerb like he does as that had probably done it!!

I went to another village show a few miles away this afternoon, not as big as the other and more fruit and veg at this one, but still interesting. In the children's baking class, one had done some lovely cupcakes with smarties stuck onto the white icing with little icing balloon strings from each smartie....very pretty. Another children's class was to paint a picture of your family. One child, obviously from the farming family that had won the egg classes, had drawn a few cows at the side of the house he'd drawn as well as chickens and had written out all their names above each one. There were more flower arrangements in a teacup and saucer too. In the jams and preserves, one jar of lemon curd was only made yesterday........I'd never dare leave it to the last minute like that!!

Well I must say that Fiona's hair looks really lovely now she has managed to get it cut at last!! A lovely pressy and I think the colour is just right.

It turned sunny here today and has been a lovely day with a sharp breeze. Washed sheets and pillow cases and got them dry and ironed.

Frank you shoud be in less pain by now so perhaps something is not quite right with what they did. I hope they have a good answer for you on Monday.

Well the phone seems fine now and the internet is still ok too so we think it might be that the tile adhesive got into the wire ,the wire goes right across the doorway under a bar that separates the tiles and the carpet in the hall, we hope that it's dried out so that's why it's now working again .

Fiona perhaps you'll let me know how you get on with the Scholl Express Pedi i was wondering if they are any good , my feet seem get really dry in the summer i'am always creaming them up .

We're off to see sister soon , she has just this weekend and next to work and then she's finished , her oldest son rang me yesterday ,the home where she works had asked him what they could get sister for a retirement pressie ,he didn't know what to say so he rang me !! i didn't know what to say either !!

He said a weekend away for her had been mentioned ,so i said well lets ask her !! she knew that they were going to buy her some thing anyway so i said well if we ask her she's going to get some thing she wants !!
I rang and she said that they had told her they were going to do some thing ,so she said a weekend away would be lovely ,so that's been put forward .
I don't think i spoilt it for her ,asking what she would like ,she is just so hard to buy for.

Not long back from daughters, we've spent hours in Kingston Shopping Centre, and it was so busy there too Jane, I thought Christmas had come early there were so many people.

Hope you get a good nights sleep tonight Frank and Mel, I think I will tonight after spending last night at daughters, I heard her up for Harry in the night and again with Chloe and they were all awake about 6.00am, middle of the night for me. I won't mind getting up really early Jane for the holiday, shall stay at daughter's the night before as they are much closer to Gatwick than I am.

Think I might take a look at those bibs Jane, it would make a good 'joke' Christmas present for my eldest daughter who is always getting dinner medals.

Still can't access my e.mails, I bet by the time I can there will be loads on there.

I would always worry looking after someone elses pets, but cats are very self sufficient Mandy and will love you all the time you are feeding them, so fickle.

Snap Jane, I had poached eggs on toast for breakfast and they filled me up so much I haven't eaten anything since, feeling hungry now though so think I will put a pizza in the oven and make a salad. Nice and simple

Katherine & Jake have come round , they bought me a lovely teal scarf for my birthday, and katherine made me a birthday card, she's into card making at the moment.
Got 4 bottles of toiletries from Victoria & family, bubble bath, shower gel, and hand lotion, & body lotion , OH bought me a Scholl Express Pedi(for removing hard skin on feet) I saw an advert on the TV and commented on it saying that looked good,
MIL sent me a card with a £5,

I bought a chocolate tray bake with smarties for tomorrow, so Sofia can help me blow the candle out , only 1 candle thats enough, haven't got room on the cake for all the candles , NOT TELLING YOU MY REAL AGE

Just went to turn on the side light, and the BULB EXPLODED. Frightened me to death. I can't make the page bigger either. try as I might, it won't move.

What a dark horrible afternoon, I watch the football until half time. a player got sent off, and it spoilt the game. I managed to find a Miss Marple. play, which I can't remember seeing before, so it passed a couple of hours.

Ros has been busy in the kitchen most of the afternoon. She has prepared the veg. for tomorrow's dinner, and washed the floor, and units.

We have decided on a Indian tonight, save Ros. having to go out.

When I said I would try to be seen at the hospital, I meant Monday NOT TOMORROW. I doubt there would be anyone there on a SUNDAY

Not phone trouble AGAIN !!!!.Hopefully you won't need to buy any more new ones !!
My sister is having the same trouble.Her OH did something with the computer and since then the house phone doesn't work .So I have to ring on her mobile.
They are enjoying their time now without William .(not that they didn't enjoy looking after him) they did but now William is back with his Daddy and Ranti,baby James's Mummy,they can just be normal Grandparents and not carers.
My BIL is now able to enjoy his cycling again and can go when the fancy takes him,and Janice gets in from work and doesn't have to worry about getting William all ready to go home for the night and then cooking.Her OH is now doing quite a lot of cooking and she can sometimes get home to a meal all prepared and cooked by Larry So she is a happy gal

Chris is just off for one of his walks.He brought some logs in just now.We might try the log burner later.I think we need to know how it works before we go away as the evenings are getting colder and James might like to use it.

Ann I don't know whether you know but the Walled Garden is open to the public today and tomorrow at Luton Hoo.What a shame tomorrows weather looks so bad.I can't see many people going then.

Frank I think it is a good idea to see if you can be seen tomorrow.Something doesn't sound quite right does it. .I don't think you should be in this much pain now.

Jane, I am just having a dry cut today that is the first step , can't have anyone washing my hair, I did it myself last night.

I don't know if I will ever go totally blond again. I need to discuss with my head doctor and the hairdresser if I can use dye on my scalp in the future.
Might think about just putting blonde high lights in to cover the gray at a later date.

I have just got in from Tes** and the Bank.It is heaving everywhere .I'm wondering if it is because the weather is going to be bad tomorrow and so everyone is doing their shop today.I was glad to get home

Gardeners, WHAT ARE THESE.??? Beans in a skin that is very dry and hard. The beans are WHITE with RED SPOTS. I bit into one and they are very nutty flavour. Our neighbour bought them as RUNNER BEANS, ans this is what she got when they grew. !!!

Had a poor old night again, every time I moved I got pain down my leg. It seems like something is jammed up inside the kneecap. I am going to ring the orthopedic (sp) dept, in the morning to see if someone can see me. If I go to A & E I could be sitting there for hours.
Resting up again, Ros had feed and watered me again and will have to prepare dinner for tomorrow, or we could go to the carvery. I will see what she thinks.

Well I had a lovely surprise this morning .Chris brought me poached egg on toast in bed .On a tray with serviette and salt and pepper plus a mug of tea.It all went down a treat ... I could get quite used to that
