MORNING ALL/EVENING KIM.
Well what a waste of a morning.
Didn't get to sleep till after 3.00 am. Ros woke and got up at 5.10 am. I laid till 6.00. No cup of tea of course. Just a wash round my mouth .
All shower and shaved by 6.30. left home 6.50 First through the door. gave the receptionist my details, and settled down with my paper. Ros left, and I SAT AND SAT. At least NINE people came in after me and were called through to the ward. Finally MARY (the nurse) called me through took more details and BP & TEMP.. Said I would be going down in about a hour. This would be about 8.50. At 9.00 am Mr Auld the surgeon, came in to my cubicle, shook my hand and told me IT WAS OFF FOR EVERYONE. as there had been a major EMERGENCY. SIX OLD PEOPLE HAD BEEN BOUGHT IN WITH BROKEN HIPS , ARMS, LEGS. I don't know whether it was a accident or a load of people falling down stairs or the like. Anyway he said he hoped to get us back in within the next month. ONLY MANAGED TO GET THREE DATES WITH THE NURSES !!!
I rang Ros and she had to come and collect me. I've had a couple of cups of tea and Bacon rolls, and an hour in the armchair. Felling as though I have a bit of life back in me.
Will keep you posted as things happen. !!!
I see you have all been busy since yesterday.
That rain last night, I was talking to Conrad on SKYPE, and he said what's all the noise, it was the rain, thundering down on the conservatory roof. that was about 7.00 pm so I think we all had a blast of it.
The advert for ZUBE was "HORSE GO SUCK A ZUBE" and the "PLINK PLONK" was for ALKA SELTZER

Morning all ,evening Kim,
Nice morning here today so far ,have stripped the bed so the beddings blowing away nicely on the line ,been shopping and also taken two bags of paper backs and a bag of clothes to the charity shop .
Tomorrow the road outside ours is going to be resurfaced ,about time some thing was done as they only did it about two years ago and the top covering wasn't done properly then, with all the heat we've had lately it's been quite sticky ,i do find though that after it's done we seem to tread all the chippings in the house on our shoes !! :-S and tars not easy to get off !!
Wonder if Frank has had his OP yet.

MorningAll and Evening Kim,
Sunshine this morning after yesterdays heavy rain. The sky cleared last night and we had many stars in the sky.
Zubes.... I remember those as mum always had them and I liked them too so she had to share them!! Think they came in a round orange tin or had orange writing somewhere with Zubes written in black. They also had icing sugar in with them so they did'nt stick together.
So many of the cough and sore throat sweets came in tins in those days not the cardboard packs we get nowadays and blister packs.
I loved the TCP pastels if I had a sore throat as they seemed to work best. They have now changed them to a hard round sweet in a blister pack and they don't taste the same either.
All the bantams have been laying in the sunshine this morning looking as though they are dead on their sides with a wing spread out. I was going to get a pic when I told oh to look and he promtly said to them "Get in the box hedge" and they all got up!!!!!!!!
At our surgery you can get your prescriptions straight away as the doc sends it through to the dispensing part by the computer so we don't get a written prescription to see what the writing is like.
Must off now and open the tunnels bottom window and do some jobs.

Morning All,
Hope Frank doesn't have to wait too long this morning.......I'm sure he will keep the nurses entertained. lol
Sunny earlier but dull here now. OH is dismantling the broken pallett the table and chairs came on to take to the tip. He's already taken one load of rubbish. I've just cleared out the fridge and a few ancient tins of things in the cupbard to put in the bin as it's bin day today.
I'm advertising a few more things, a load of jigsaws etc in the free adverts, you can even add photos for them now which is good. If they don't go, the local Jigsaw Hire Club can have them. :-D
My colour has all gone too Jane, my appointment is next week. The sun's made it as dry as straw as well. That's where a Kindle is very handy as clouring takes ages. I have to take my glasses off, but I suppose you could 'zoom up' the print on a Kindle.
Well, I'd better go and do something useful or he will be in here looking for me soon!! lol.

Thank you very much for that Mandy......it's good to hear good reports on something before you get one yourself! I think John over the road has a K*rcher one as it is bright yellow like the washer. Last time I did our drive I was covered in mucky sludge up to my knees and it all needs doing again now. I think OH will be doing most of that this time though. ;-) It's a relief not having watering to do for at least a few days.......we had great puddles on the gravel here so it should have soaked everywhere well. You've had really good service out of your clock radio. :-)
Yes, best wishes for tomorrow Frank and I hope you are the FIRST on the list!!!! :-) :-) We will be thinking about you! <3 <3

Mandy, fancy someone stuffing that money in the shoes like that! They must have wondered what they'd done with the £30 later.
When we used to get letters from doctors at work or sick notes, we often needed 2 or 3 'heads' together to decipher them. It's very interesting really. I have bad handwriting, but can draw reasonably well. OH has good writing, is incredible at keeping lines dead straight and evenly spaced and can underline headings freehand as if he has a ruler. He does columns of figures on a plain sheet of paper perfectly as well, BUT he says he can't draw! You would think being good at one would mean you were good at the other! :-S I wonder if William is good at both? (we know he is good at drawing)
The rain has finally stopped now, but it is quite dark already. :-S

Ann, hubby has one of those patio cleaner scrubbers that fit's on the pressure washer , they work a treat ,no water splashing up and they clean the slabs up lovely and they can cover a bigger area quicker than the spray gun.
I think we'll soon need a new clock radio too, ours was a wedding present !! so it's quite old !! LOL We have ours set so the radio comes on and some mornings it's not even tuned in to station and no one has touched it !!
Been tipping down here ,no watering to do tonight .

Jane - you saying about my doctors handwriting, I heard a gag at my grandsons party which went - A deaf old lady was telling a friend about her husbands health problems and said 'He's prostrate and got to go for an autopsy' - when what she meant was 'he's got prostate problems and has to have a biopsy' :-)
We had a downpour this afternoon too and a bit of thunder in the distance. Luckily for me, the weather didn't follow the forecast and I was able to walk up and down to the surgery this morning in brilliant sunshine. I don't think I'll be doing any more sky photos for a while. :-(

Ooh that was a nice surprise for your DIL Mandy :-D Dentist for me is just a routine check up.Bit I have a feeling he will find something up with my top tooth at the very back.It feels like some of it has crumbled away and if I get meat or something stuck in it ,it does ache a bit :-S Thunder still rumbling somewhere and it is as black as your hat now :-S.All lights are on. Chris is very late .He should have been in just after 6.Not a good sign.I might have to tread carefully lol.His radio alarm clock has given up the ghost.it's been going off at all ridiculous times but not at 5.30 am when it should.I set my phone alarm this morning just to make sure he woke up.His clock was showing 6.30 !.So it went on the skip.He gets all of a hoo ha when something goes wrong as he is a creature of habit and likes things to stay the same.Well he will just have to put up with a phone alarm until he buys himself a new clock radio :-D
It is absolutely tipping it down now.The first heavy shower we have had for a very long time. The garden will be lapping it up :-D At least we don't need to water anything tonight. Chris had just walked in........He sounds chirpy :-D(phew) :-D.....so I will go and greet.

What a cracker of a storm we just had, water pouring over the edge of the gutters nextdoor and over the back, the cows made a beeline for the shelter of the hedge!! It's still raining stairods now. OH is hoping the shed has sheltered his painting. I never got all the path washing done as I needed to move the plug to another room and then the black clouds came over. I think the washer is 'on the blink' though as it keeps on stalling all the time......more expense!! :-S. A neighbour over the road was doing his drive this morning and was using a circular pad thing on his that was hardly causing any spray at all, so I might pop and ask him about it tomorrow.
David, I imagine we would need to have access to your tree to see photos in your Keepsafe?
Yes I remember ZUBES. I think the tv advert said 'ZUBES for your TUBES'. lol. :-)
Well, mum and dad never said they loved me, but gran did. For obvious reasons I never told my mum and dad I loved them either. OH and I tell each other we love each other every day. Even if we go different ways in the supermarket, or when we are going to different shops, we usually kiss and sometimes a hug. We still hold hands when we are out quite often too unless it's too hot. We tend not to in front of MIL and FIL, they are not touchy, feely at all.
OH has to discuss his BP results with his doc.......he's thinking his lifestyle will be changing!!llll

Frank, i meant to ask if you had heard anything about that poor lady who collapsed at the doctors the other day?
Is it just a check up Jane , not tooth ache i hope :-S
I forgot to say the other day ,when we came off the beach i spotted some little rubber beach shoes for the children on a stand outside the shop, Jake tried a pair on and i helped Katie fit hers on , DIL helped Chelsea with hers and as she pulled out the paper that they all had stuffed in the toes of the shoes out came what i thought was a ten pound note !! It was all folded up in a square ,when DIL opened it up later in the car there was three ten pound notes !! Some one must have had it in their hand while they tried the shoes on and it got stuffed back in the shoe with the paper !! So DIL got thirty pounds and i ended up paying for the shoes !! so i lost out a bit there i think !! :-S :-D :-D :-D
I don't remember telling my parents very often that i loved them , i think it was as Jane has said it was as they were near the end that it was said ,but i'am sure they knew ,i'am always saying to the little ones "love you " and they give lots of kisses and hugs as they go home ,well the girls do, Jake is not into kisses any more so he gets a hug :-D

Evening Everyone,
Weather not so nice this morning, but suited me fine in the car as it was much cooler. it has been a nice afternoon but windy, got three lines of washing dry,
It took me ages to sleep at the weekend, head was playing up again on Saturday night but was ok last night, thought I would give the computer a rest over the weekend,I might have to phone pain nurse at hospital and tell her I want to add another 10 mg to my 50mg which I am already taking, it confuse's my own doctor because I have to keep adding on, so I get the pain nurse at the hosp to phone the surgery they take more notice when she phones than when I do.
Chicken pasta tonight :-D :-D

Which Hospital are you going to Frank?Northampton? Shame you have lost your favourite hairdresser but I'm sure someone will still be able to deal with your locks and give you a nice short back and sides ;-)
David I only really remember once saying 'I love you' to my Mum and Dad and it was just before each of them passed away :-(.But I'm sure they knew I loved them just as your parents would have done too <3 Funny isn't it how we are all different. My Sister and her Children say it all the time when they say goodbye. It's 'Bye,love you".It just trips of the tongue .Hannah told me she loved me on the phone from the airport just before flying off to Peru.(made me cry).Soppy old date that I am..We are not a demonstrative family ,but I do love a good hug :-D. A few years ago in town two youths in the town centre ran over and killed a pidgeon. It was witnessed by a young man with Down Syndrome. He came up to me in tears pointing to the poor bird telling me what happened. He needed a hug so we had one. It just felt normal for me to do it.Not sure what onlookers must have thought lol I think a hug can do wonders and it doesn't need words.
I'm just cooking up the Bacon Lardons and Onion ready to go in with the shredded cabbage and it smells really nice :-D
Meg the dog is here again tomorrow for the day. They have asked if we can keep her moving as she ceases up if she lies down for too long and her poor old legs seem like wood. The front ones give out now and then and she nearly ends up on her nose :-(
