I'm here!!! Just been texting my friend, she is in the south of France on holiday, making me very jealous, she is sipping wine looking out on the beach. I must have a look at the weather in Spain soon, don't know if I should take winter coat and boots or strappy tops and sandals. You must be off a week before me Jane, was it Venice you were going to?
Can't say I have seen many vagrants around either, very easy to judge but you never know what circumstances landed them there, I would say ...............there but for the grace of God ................... but you are kinder than me Jane, don't think I would have approached him.
I've had a bit of a niggling week, first off I got a flat tyre, good job son-i-l spotted it and changed it for me but I still had to go and get that fixed, then I bought some phones from e.bay and couldn't get them to work, I am so not technically minded, they didn't come with instructions so I downloaded instructions off the internet which has messed up my home page and I can't get on to Hot Mail and access my e.mails, any ideas please Ann, I needn't have bothered with the download as I got the phones to work anyway. Oh well, if that's the worst of my worries life can't be too bad :-D

Afternoon All
Been pouring down all day here, went to coffee this morning walked down as the lady who usually picks me up has gone on holiday to Australia for 3 weeks, and was drenched by the time I got down, got money back from my jumpers in M&S, and by the time I got to the coffee shop my jeans were soaked. With it being so wet, I took a tumble in the toilets, as the tiled floor was wet, fell on my elbow , I now have a lovely bruise and it's also skinned, told the waitress and she told the manager that the floor was slippy and i had fallen, he came over to ask how I was then went and mopped the bathroom floor, I'm really ok just was bit stunned at the time.

Morning All and Evening Kim,
Cloudy today and a bit chilly.
Frank was your friend fishing in a hidden place? I just can't work out why nobody saw anything when it happened. It has been on my mind.
Jane have sent a little video to Chris.
Hope all are well today.
How's the knee this morning Frank. Did you say you were seeing the nurse today?

Boooiinnnngggg. Said Zebadee.............................................
I made a Zebadee for my son. his head was a ping pong ball painted red and his jacket was made in yellow felt with green stripe. Felt whiskers and a spring out of a hair roller. He loved him and I like the pink cow, Ermantrude who wore a hat and had something in her mouth........can you remember what it was?????? I can........ <3

oooh I missed the bit about a new Baby Maureen. How lovely :-D ~Another one.I think I only said yesterday how many babies have been born since the thread has been going. We are a very fertile thread lol lol
Ann I did think about just going and getting the man something from the chippie and putting it on top of the bin,but there was a queue in the shop ,plus I have the feeling he might have swiped it back at me .He was just really unapproachable .I tried, but as I say sometimes there are some people that you just cannot help.I will be worrying about him now with the colder nights coming up,and he has no meat on his bones (as they say).
I'm sure I will have days of :-D :-0 :-| :-P :-S and <3 when Chris is here all the time. I bet we will get on each others nerves at times..I am going to try and get him back into cooking again. He was quite keen when we were first married so I feel a revival is due :-D :-D
Frank I bet the man who was with Sid at 3.30 feels bad he didn't stay longer .He might feel he could have done something to have helped Sid.
Time for bed .(was that a Magic Roundabout saying) from Zebadee

Jane it's tricky to know what to do in those situations. With hindsight just getting a bag of chips and plonking them in the bin in front of him might have worked. So many of these gentlemen of the road have mental health problems as you say and they are suspicious even of people who want to help. We don't see half as many as we used to in the city now. I don't really know why, unless there is more encouragement to use hostels.

Evening All,
That is annoying Fiona.......I have done that, even with the same style and size, but a different colour and the sizes have still been different! That sounds a good present for the 90 year old. He will enjoy sharing it with other folk and saying who's who in the photos.
Jane, I bet you can't believe Chris will soon be at home much more!! At least it's been a gradual changes, but will be strange having someone else there a lot of the time, like a holiday but with no going back to work. I still haven't got used to it after 3 years!! Some days I feel :-) or :-D, <3 or then others it can be :-|, :-S or occasionally :-P!! Today it was <3 :-D <3 as he did the ironing, took a car load to the tip, watered the toms and cue, cleaned the bath and the wall tiles around it and hoovered all through while I was out with my sister. Now he's at a footie match.
Maureen I went out with just my knee length shorts, sandals and a short sleeve top on today as well, so yes I think I must be hot blooded as I never felt at all chilly. I see there's another little grandchild for you to look forward to in the Spring. :-)
I had quite a good day with my sister at Dob*ies World (William will know it). She seemed in much better health than when I last saw her. As she gets DLA, she gets a car under the motability scheme and she took me in the one she has now and it is fantastic. A huge white Cit*oen with it's own remote controlled hoist for her motor scooter. All she pays for is the diesel for it, no tax, insurance or maintenance. We had la nice lunch first and then looked around all the departments and she was delighted to find a handy lightweight folding tripod with a tiny round seat she can use to sit on and browse in shops where the scooter won't go. There is also a clothes shop in an attached building and she got a nice handbag from there. Me I never got anything, but wish I had bought a top I saw now! :-S When we got back here I sent her off with a pile of jigsaws and books. Now I feel shattered!!

I've been too busy to talk to you Frank :-D.I did go shopping as it is Jess's Birthday on the 13th and I hadn't got her anything.Luckily I found a lovely dress and a Jumper in TK Ma*.I managed to get some Pansies planted but then it started to rain so there is one pot left which I have half done. The rest in tomorrow.
I have actually got a warm jumper on !I didn't want to but just felt too chilly :-S.It is so dark as well now and not even 5 o clock.
James and Jess have arrived at their Hotel in Athens and have luckily got a room with a view of the Acropolis. It will look lovely lit up at night.
I saw such a sad sight today. It was an elderly homeless man.I have seen him around before, but as i parked my car he was rooting through a bin.The seat of his trousers was completely open on one side and his little bottom was totally on show (no pants) There was a Fish and Chip shop right next to where I had parked so I thought he might like some food.I went gingerly over the where he was going through the bin and just said 'Excuse me" and was about to ask him if he would like something to eat but he just looked out the corner of his eye and kept saying"Stay away from me".He said it 3 times ,so I had to walk away.It is so sad to see someone in such a bad way.Not doubt he had Mental Health problems and was probably much younger than he looked. All he had was 2 small pieces of cardboard which I assumed he slept on. I must say though he smelled so bad.Goodness knows when he had last had a wash of any kind.I just felt really sad as he shuffled off with his buttock all on show. It has been many years since I have seen someone like him here in Kettering.Sometimes there is just nothing you can do to help someone :-(
I feel fine today.I think I was just really worn out. Hannah has another house share viewing this evening.
2 weeks today and we will be off on our holiday :-D :-D :-D...Chris has only 4 more days to work .2 this week and 2 next week :-0 :-0..How has that come around so fast???

Maybe it's the change in the weather making everyone feel a bit off colour. No more playing truant for me Mel unless by chance we have a little mini heat wave.
You must be warm blooded Ann, too cold for me to wear shorts today, I was even thinking of putting my boots on yesterday. It's raining ..... again ...... still I expect the garden will be glad of it. I've come to the conclusion that I don't have very green fingers, my mini greenhouse looks like something out of The Day of The Triffids but I've only had a few cucumbers, no peppers, and not many toms, just lots of big leaves and trailing tendrils.
Forgot to say yesterday, another baby on the way :-D a little brother or sister for Finley. Baby's due on 17th March, St. Patrick's Day so let's see if he/she comes out doing a little irish jig

I see I am talking to myself again :-( :-( :-( At least I don't get any stupid answers !!!
I've put a chicken in a casserole for tonight, with onions, carrots, peas, leeks, mushrooms and tomatoes. Fresh green cabbage and Roasties . I could do mash if Ros prefers ,
Rested up all day again , been playing games, looking on Ebay, and reading.
The girls were back home by 2.45 pm. Nearly caught me with my girlfriend :-D :-D I thought that something was wrong, with them coming home so early But they said they had done all they needed too.
What have you all been up to today then ??? must be shopping or housework. !!!
The late afternoon is cooling down, and clouding over. Looks like more rain.
LEWIS'S JOKE. What do you call a NUN on a motorbike.?? "A VIRGIN MOBILE" Sorry, nothing to do with me.!!!
I see the RAG DOLL cats are popular. I had never heard of them before Sunday. Just shows was a sheltered life I have had !!!
Julia has bought Ros a new (to us) sugar. It's made from Birch tree extract !! it is suppose to be very good for people with diabetes. A woman she knows had TYPE 2 but after using this sugar substitute, it has cleared up. So Ros has decided to give it a go. Have any of you tried it or heard about it ???? It says on the web that it is dangerous to feed it to DOGS. !!! I won't put down what I am thinking ;-) ;-) ;-)
David, Did you contact your G. P. regarding home help with washing etc. ???
I will have to have the halogen heater in the conservatory tonight, when I watch the football, as I think it's going to be a bit chilly our there. BRASS MONKEY'S COMES TO MIND.
