Afternoon all,
I was in bed before 10.00 pm last night and slept till 19.30 am this morning. I feel like a wet week now.
I am going to wrap my knee in cling film and have a shower. (I do miss it) Ros said if the dressings get wet, we have plenty, so can replace them. BUT DON'T GET SOAP IN THE CUTS.
I think we had a drop of rain in the night, as the air feels damp. and it's very cloudy, so I suppose we will get it (RAIN) later.
I'm off to the shower, and get shaved, Lovely feeling when it's all done. Tracky bottoms and T shirt today. If I get to warm it will be back to shorts.

Morning Everyone, evening Kim
Been raining here a little but we are forecast for some heavy down pours, the sky is totally covered in thick cloud, neighbours across the road are having there chimney breast re-plastered and the rough casted (?) , all the old plaster just fell off, hope it doesn't down pour or it won't set.
just finished the last of my ironing mainly t.shirts which don't take long to do.
Mandy hope you get your kitchen floor sorted, OH has asked me to make a list of all the inside jobs that need doing, he is finely happy with outside jobs completed for the time being. I want him to finish off some of the paint work that still needs doing in the kitchen & dining room AND back porch, mostly doors and woodwork, if he gets started while its still mild outside it won't be too cold when he has to leave the windows open while the paint dries, some of the gloss paint makes me feel sick.

Morning all,
Bit cloudy here today ,we had a fine drizzle first thing but that was not enough to wet the ground ,still muggy though.
Ann, hope your gums are not so sore today after the extractions ,why is it after you've had teeth out you keep putting your tongue over the hole when not supposed too ....it's like we just have to make sure the tooth has gone :-D
Mel, is it some thing you've have eaten that's upset your tum ? they always say eggs are binding so they should help ,although they can give you wind !! :-S
Well the suit didn't fit so we toddled off to Norwich yesterday in all the heat !! son bought a nice Charcoal grey suit in Slat*rs ,they were so helpful and not at all pushy like some shops ,but my goodness we took the stairs as the lift was so tiny and dark and it was two floors up !! i have to say we came down in the lift as the heat in that staircase was dreadful!! Had to get DIL a bra from B*S she wanted one that you can take the straps off as her dress for the wedding is off the shoulder ....so that was some thing else left till the last moment !! It seems that the bride and her mother are speaking again now thank goodness ,all down to the stress!! lets just hope it stays dry .
I had to smile yesterday ,they all had to go for the rehearsal at the church and Chelsea was telling me that she has to walk one way and THE TOY BOYS have to walk the other way :-D :-D :-D :-D no sweetheart i said i think you mean THE PAGE BOYS !! :-D :-D :-D :-D
Well i'am now going to have a go at getting some of the the old kitchen flooring up!! It's really stuck down !! we've tried scrapers and now we're using a chisel !!! :-S :-S it's coming off in tiny little bits !!!! i can only do a little at a time as it's really hurting my hands ,i think hubby's hoping to finish it off tonight so he can start laying tiles on sunday .
Oh suns coming out !! :-D

Morning and Evening Everyone,
Yes, I'd forgotten about fiddle faddle!!
Hope your tum soon feels better Mel. Light meals for now. I always fancy poached eggs when I'm a bit iffy.
I slept right through till 4.00am and then woke with a splitting headache. I drank some water then lay in bed till 5.30am, then got up, looked out the window and saw the new ginger cat making his way home. I went and made a cuppa and had 2 tablets and am fine now. I think I may have been a bit dehydrated.
The alarm man has been and it was MORE EXPENSE than just a service. The outside alarm sound had fizzled out to a quiet whirr so we have had to have a new outside box!! :-S It is a better one though and has a number on it to phone if you are away and it is driving the neighbours mad.
I have booked my car in for it's MOT a week on Monday. The headlamp cover has gone a bit foggy on the top edge so I might have to have a new one of those for it to pass..... :-S
We had a good shower here from 6.00am to about 9.ooam so everything is fresher now and the birds are scurrying about seeing what they can find to eat. The old radishes I haven't pulled out are covered in Cabbage White caterpillars. I may as well leave them now....even pests have to eat and I have no cabbages for them to be a nuisance.
We are out for lunch, so I think some tidying away first....nice to do a few jobs without sweltering after a few minutes. :-)

Mel hope your dicky tum sorts itself out soon.It is so dark here this morning. There looks like there has just been a very little rain in the night. The birds are all going crazy at the moment.Lots of Blackbirds on the lawn pulling up worms and the robins and tits are flying back and forth at a rate of knots lol
I need to go to the Post Office this morning and then I think it will have to be some housework :-S :-P.It has been too hot the last few days to do much. So I will get moving and grooving................ Thought of something in the night that I haven't heard for a long time and that is..............FIDDLE FADDLE

Yes, get your NURSE'S HAT on Jane and sort them out! :-)
Frank, they are back teeth so you wouldn't see if I did :-D thank goodness. I should have brought them home and left them out for the Tooth Fairy shouldn't I. ;-) OH ended up seeing the same Dentist as me as his had gone home sick. He said he asked OH how I was now and told him he has an infection, so its antibiotics for the next few days.
I got seen very quickly for my mammogram and was shepherded straight in to undress and into the 'clamps'. It seems to be a new machine as I didn't have to stand on tiptoe this time. I was in and out before my appointment was due......just as well as the minimum carpark charge is £1.50.
It's a shame Katherine wasn't successful this time Fiona, but she's showing the right attitude and is at least getting a few interviews which gives her more chance than by not trying. You need to have 'your hat in the ring' as OH would say.
There was a lovely red sunset here tonight, which seems at odds with the rain they've forecast for tomorrow. I seem to have lived in my shorts this summer.
Another early start tomorrow......the alarm man will be here at 8.30am to service it.

Well Janice has arrived home from the cruise to find her lounge infested with fleas!!!!!!! She knew the dogs had 'visitors' and de flea'd them before they went to kennels ,sprayed the house and carpets with flea spray just before they left. They have had to get some firm to come and de flea.So she and her OH are staying with her daughter tonight .Costing them £120 !! to get rid of the little blighters. The vet said said the Frontlin* flea deterrent is not working so well (pets are becoming immune to it). Hopefully Janice and Larry will be able to go home to a flea free house tomorrow . What a lovely homecoming :-S :-S

Yes 2 naughty boys fiddling around with their dressings. I would give you both a smack bottom if I did'nt think you would enjoy it!! :-|
Well I don't knwo what I am going to do for dinner. I got mince out but I still seem to have a bit of an upset tum and don't really want anything much but what I am going to do for oh??????????????

Naughty boy Frank :-S :-S :-S.Getting dinner and changing dressings. You and Fitz both need to sit on the NAUGHTY STEP.2 naughty boys together ;-) I don't think you should be taking the dressings off As you might leave it open to infection.Leave it alone and if it leaks just put another dressing on top until it is seen by Nurse or Dr.....Just behave :-D
I have cooled off now, only because the fan is just right next to me.It does seem to be getting cloudy so maybe the rain will start overnight.Jut opened my tin of lip salve and it is almost liquid :-S :-S
I'm just remembering those hot summers as child and spending each day down on the beach after school .When it was really hot all the Mums would make up a picnic and we would have tea on the beach with lots of other families. It would be like a party :-D.Oh they were happy days . :-D :-D

Yes Ann, I am about, only just though.Could only get on here this afternoon by 30 pages at a time.
Ros has been to "Stitchery Do" since 9.30 this morning, only just come in. One cheeky villager, came to the group last week and made two cushion covers, from a very expensive material, and was back again today and made two more. Not made for the charity but for herself. Using the groups funds for electricity and material that has been donated .CHEKKY COW. !! I said the organizer of the group should charge her for the Material, and cost of electricity.
I didn't venture into the garden again today. It would have been difficult getting the lounger out and putting it up. So stayed in doors with my leg up, apart from (I have already been told off) SO DON'T START. getting dinner ready for tonight. I only managed to peel the potatoes pop some peas, and cut up a couple of carrots, when my knee gave out. I slid down the unit , I managed to get to my feet and grab my stick, and get back to the sofa.
Last night I decided to look at the cuts on my knee, as the cotton wool wrap and elastic bandage had slipped down my leg again. I decided to put on some large dressing that Ros had from when she had her abscess. I cleaned up around the area, which was all congealed blood and gunge, and put the new dressings on. (NURSE FRANK) All clean and tidy, no leekage, but a bit of swelling.
Had a much better night last night, slept from 1.00 am (I was in bed by 11.00 pm) till 9.00 am when Ros bought me tea <3 <3 <3
Martine has been sent home from Hospital again, She went and had another angiagrame (sp) and found the artery is quite small, and that they can't get a stent in !! So don't know what is going to happen next. We are pestered with DOVES at the moment. They are sitting on the roofs cooing away all day long. It's enough to drive you mad. :-( :-(
I wasn't sure that I enjoyed Whitechapel last night as much as the last series Hope it improves next week, also Dr. Martin. !!!
I have decided not to go to Caister next week, It won't be fair on my Nephew, if he wants to go out and about and I am not able to go with them. Plus I don't think three hours in the car is what I need at the moment.
I had a little ming jog last night. Do you remember "LOVE LETTERS". ?? when you sealed the envelope down you wrote on the back S.W.A.L.K or B.O.L.T.O.P. they are the only two I remember perhaps it's an age thing. !! :-D :-D
Ros is out on the patio doing the winter pansies in the hanging baskets she also bought a load of cylemens (sp) at 10p each, so she is getting thjose in as well.
Do you remember last year I mentioned "ICE CREAM TULIPS" I bought three last year for about a fiver. Well I have been looking at bulbs on Ebay, again I have found a company who are supplying various Tulip bulbs at £9.99 plus P & P for 100 (ONE HUNDRED BULBS) I have just ordered 3 x 100 of three different sorts. including Ice cream ones, which are usually £8/10 for FIVE. Will let you know how I get on. I did send the company an Email to confirm the quantity was correct and they confirmed it was. We will have tulips everywhere next spring.
Hope Fitz is going on o.k. Jane. How long will his splints be on. ???
How's TOOTHY or should I say TOOTHLESS Ann doing then. Give us a smile :-D :-D
My Nephew who lives in Harlow, wants to take me to coopersale which is not far from him. It's where a lot of my mothers family lived and are buried in the local chuch yard. He said we could spend an afternoon going round the headstones and perhaps looking at the church records. You never know I might find some living relatives. !!!
I've bored you enough this afternoon, so will sign off.
CLOUDS COMMING OVER. !!

Chris has gone for yet another nap !!!!.I have never known him like this :-S.He is working tomorrow so won't be able to do that lol
I need to put some cool water in the bird bath.It must be at boiling point now.The stone edge the birds stand on must burn their little tootsies !!!

Hot is the word here Mel.It is sooooo hot.I just checked the thermometer on he patio and it is 40 !!!!!!!.We have been sat out there since 12.30.Lunch was lovely .Fitz needs a slap as he didn't walk up the lane ....he drove his car :-S :-S.I washed his hair and conditioned it lol, then put some new strapping around his hands as the metal splint things had shifted a bit.I got Chris to hold the roll of plaster as it needed cutting down the middle .I snipped his finger when I got to the end and made him bleed :-|
Ann why on earth do people try and walk across a motorway????.The mind boggles .But what a sad end to that poor persons life :-( and such a shock for the person who hit him.
I am now cooling off by the fan .Must say I am actually quite looking forward to tomorrows rain.Seems like it could be in for the day.
Yes where is Frank ???He obviously had a blip this morning when posting.
I do hope William is alright ,it's been a few days now. I think my sister should be back home later from the cruise.I really hope she and my BIL have been able to relax and enjoy their Norwegian trip.New baby due to arrive in the next week or so ,so it will be all go again for them.
Must get a big glass of iced water now ..I'm parched.

Yes, the feeling is mostly back now Jane and no pain or bleeding just a bit sore where the injections were. I have just had tomato soup and a salt rinse so your feast sounds very tasty and appealing!! :-S I hope Fitz is ok and can manage it with his fingers. :-) I watch it sometimes, but didn't see that episode of Trauma1. That smash sounds awful in Kent. Not a day to be stuck behind in all the traffic either. We found out what the accident on the M5 was about the other day when we went to collect the pots. Apparently a man was walking across the motorway and had got killed.
Frank is obviously about........ :-)

Morning/EveningAll Well ,another scorcher today then.Chris just came in from the garden and the sweat was dripping off his face :-S. I have just got lunch ready for when Fitz arrives.A little feast.I have made little kebab things on cocktail sticks of Tomato,Mozzarella, and Proscuitto drizzled with a little balsamic vinegar and torn basil leaves. Some mini Pork Pies, and the Mediterranean veg tart, and bread sticks with Parma ham wrapped around.
Decided not to do the Plum Liqueur as I don't think these plums are right for that. But I have cooked them just to soften ....it now looks like a load of mush :-S :-S. Is there anything I can do to thicken up the juice a bit?
Ann your Dentist sounds a lovely man .I hope you soon get the feeling back .I bet it feels funny with 2 missing teeth now.Did you say it was your Mammogram you are going for today?
Mel I wish it was as peaceful here as it is at your place.Like Ann we have that awful continuous drone from the A14.It is very loud today, but probably because there is no wind or even a breeze.Even last night all night I could here it.Mind you all the windows were open.
I am hoping Fitz might have had his hair washed. It's too hot to be a hairdresser lol.But I am happy to do it for him really.
Did anyone see the programme Trauma 1 the other night?.It was amazing ,especially how they managed to save the little lad who suddenly bled out when he was brought out of his induced coma.To actually see it as it happened was incredible.Pretty gruesome for anyone a bit sqeamish though .
I see there has been a massive pile up in Kent this morning.100 vehicles !!.The usual problem with people driving too fast in the fog :-S :-S
Right I reckon Fitz will be making his way up the lane now so will say tatty bye for now.BBL

Morning everyone, Evening Kim.
Sunny day here, just put a wash , hope the suns out for a while then I'll get them dry,
Yes Katherine is very willing to work it's such a shame that there are so many other people needing work too, she says there's always a lots of people waiting to be interviewed when she goes for work too, this job interview is for a shop 3 door's down from her old shop where she worked for nearly 6 years so she is familiar with all that goes with it. even if the job is only part time, that's something
well better go and see if the washing is ready to hang out, need a coffee to. :-D
David , it's exactly the same in the cemetery where my mum & dad are buried, Well in the old part of it where my ancestors are buried, grave (called lair's in Scotland) stones lying at different angles because they are a danger to passes by and some of the lair stones are tied up with rope so they don't fall over. Unfortunately the graves that I have found of my ancestors have no monumental stones on so it can be difficult to find them the first time round, I usually make arrangements with the cemetery workers who are often willing to meet me at the cemetery and take me to the grave.
