Hello all, I'm exhausted :-S. Like Frank, it's taken me ages just to get here. I've had to go via Google and then 100 pages at a time. Not good enough GR. It doesn't take you that long to get my subs off me!!!

Sorry about the photoless email, definitely a very senior moment. I've sent out the email again and hopefully you'll have all got the photos by now. I didn't put the text on the email again so if you want to know what I said first time, I'm afraid you'll have to refer to email No 1.

It was warm and muggy again here yesterday and I was looking for a bit of rain for the garden. About 8pm we had two granddads of thunderstorms with loads of rain. As a result the garden is looking a bit bashed about today.

Didn't have a very good nights sleep. Someone's car alarm went off repeatedly from 4.15am and no one took a blind bit of notice? I'm sure I counted 8 or 9 separate bursts, but which time I was wide awake and almost read my bedtime book. Some people!

The new lottery show started last night and I think I slept through most of it! Sorry Nick Knowles (YAWN) maybe I'll stay awake next week. We didn't win the lottery (again!) anyway.

Off now to find out who Sabrina was, Norma Ann Sykes, I'm sure I most have seen her but I can't picture her. C Y A L (if I can get back on :-(

Afternoon all from a totally cheesed off me.I can still only get on here via my phone.I don't understand how I can do this but on the pooter I am asked to log in an d sign then get told incorrect email/password.I know it is all correct.
I can't keep using the phone!

We had such a lovely day yesterday with Mark and then Kate.I cooked a chicken breast for Kate and added sweet and sour sauce. So the rest of us had the Normandy Pork.Kate is Jewish so doesn't eat Pork
We sat around the table until gone11 and sunk a few otters of wine :-D
They are very excited about the next 4years in Washington. We have promised to go and visit.
Sorry I'm not commenting on posts but it's not so easy doing this on the phone, plus it uses up my minutes or texts or something. But at least I can read all the posts :-D

Morning All at last, Evening Kim

Taken me over Half an hour to get on here, Whichever way I went I got ERROR. Finally 10 pages at a time. Discussting service. !!!

Well the rain continued will after midnight. I laid reading my book with the window open, and could hear it on the patio.

What a lazy day so far. Got up at nine, made tea and got Ros's crumpets done, did myself bacon rolls. Sat and read the paper till I came on here.

Nice fresh morning out there, good breeze/wind and so much cooler. My feet have even gone down this morning, but I have been sitting around :-D :-D :-D

Mel, you are an early bird today. What's on your mind ???

Everything is ready for dinner tonight. Roast leg of pork, new potato's, baby carrots with peas, Broad beans, runner beans and cabbage. Yorkshire pudding mix and gravy all made, and apple sauce.

So the rest of the day is mine, till I start cooking about 6.00 pm.

I see the new serial starts tonight on Channel four at 8.00 pm "THE MILL" seems like it could be good, so will tune in.

Have a "NICE DAY" see you all later.

Lots to do before SIL arrives so I may not be around much till tonight.

RAIN RAIN RAIN.

It came over as black as your hat, then thunder and lightning. Then down it came. We had half hour break while we got the Chinese, but as soon as we got in doors it started again (CHARMED LIFE) and it has rained now for the pass two hours, no sign of any let up yet.

Neighbours arrived home about 5.30 pm. I gave them 4 pints of milk and half a loaf of bread.( Didn't have any fish's) lol lol

Haven't looked at Emails yet, if I got the photo's I will pass them on

Flattery will get you nowhere David. You smooth talking so and so. . :-D :-D :-D

Ann My elder sister one of the other twins, had a baby out of wedlock. What a to do in our household, she was banished from the door, never to return until her THIRD baby turned BLUE and died on the way to the hospital. My mother and father didn't show any sorrow for the poor girl, even though she was married, and still is after 60 years. The trouble was them being so VICTORIAN, in rubbed off on us kids. The birds and bees was never mentioned and was taboo in our house. OMG how they missed out on their children's progress in like. I suppose you had to feel sorry for them in some respect. Oh how times have changed (for the good I might add)

How did the meal stakes go then Jane ?? What did you get the fussy eater ??

Mel, I think you do a sterling job, doing the flowers for the church. Everybody sees and admires them, but never think who does the hard work. Our friend Carolyn spends a fortune of the flowers for the church, but it seems never gets any thanks.

Sorry I missed you earlier Ann, are you feeling a bit better now, after your funny turn in the hall ?? Do hope so.

Mandy, I know all about the East Coast in the winter, I spent two winters at Old Catton, and West Rayham, thanks very much lol lol iiving in wooden huts with a pot belly stove in the middle of the room. You would wake up in the morning and the bedding was damp. The mist hung above the stove, that you could cut with a knife.. So no thanks to Caistor in October. Had I been 20 years old It might have been different especially with a young woman in tow ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-)

Still raining, and feels a lot cooler, but my feet are still like balloons. I have dropped a tablet the doctor gave me for my water works. I think I must be retaining too much water.

Ros has just checked her lottery ticket. The numbers are one away from FOUR of her numbers, So back to the drawing board.

See you in the morning GOD bless all.

Annx Report 27 Jul 2013 21:26

Ha Ha Mandy......I wish I could afford the numberplate! :-D :-D lol.

Yes, I would love the recipe please. :-)

Off to bed now, It's rained all evening here and there are puddles in the back garden. It seems to have eased again at the moment and it's stopped thundering.....hopefully a cooler night and a better sleep.

Sounds as if the rain is on its way ,hope we don't get storms all night to keep us awake, it's clouding up now.

Just made some more ice cream ,coffee this time , the peach one was lovely also made some and put Malttesers in and that was nice too.
So easy to make if anyone wants the recipe .

Ann, i meant to say that looks a nice little model village , i thought it was a photo of your car !! :-D

Well, it's very nice of you to say that David and it's a pity I was so shy and had so little confidence and didn't realise it then. With how strict my dad was I really worried about becoming a woman, I knew it would be a problem with my dad and I wore big baggy jumpers for ages to hide everything that was developing! I can remember when I first heard boys wolf whistle I would look behind me and think there must be a pretty girl following me!! Oh how fraught my growing up was!

With your email, have you tried any of these routes? If not they may work until the problems are fixed.

Fiona, this afternoon I was wondering if it may be a virus as I felt absolutely drained of energy. I was out in the sun a lot yesterday, so maybe it was that catching up with me. I fetched the thermometer in here today and it hasn't moved below 27 degrees all afternoon and evening so it is hot! Thankfully in the last few minutes it has started pelting down with rain, so it should get a bit cooler.

Frank we have just a few beans coming now, but our carrots aren't filling out much. I've started digging the few potatoes up, we had some for tea with roast veg and chicken today.

William, no pics with your email to me either.........a senior moment maybe?

I can hear thunder now!

I'll tell you how frustrating it is Mel.

I recently paid for membership of the Ancestry site

It won't let me use the site as allegedly I'm using the wrong pass code.

I can't e-mail them as I cant get into Yahoo inbox

There must be a way?

Hot and sticky here to William and no sign of any rain , we still have lovely blue sky .

And whats wrong with the east coast Frank!! :-P :-D :-D i'am sure a freezing caravan with the wind howling and rocking the van in October would be lovely :-S :-S :-D

William sent me the email with no photo's too !!

Done the flowers in the church and now I hav'nt much time left for anything else. Never mind.

It started to rain gently while I was doing them outside on a gravestone as it seems so dark in the little church even with the lights on. Last weeks flowers were still ok so I just added to the BIG vase and rearranged the alter flowers and added to those too. Same with the porch flowers, all came out and went back in with some I had taken up there.

Poor David it must be so frustrating to be locked out of your inbox :-S

I would do as Ann said and ring the free number. This has been going on a long while now.

Rain has'nt even made our road wet. Hey ho we really do need a drop.

Frank

Frank Report 27 Jul 2013 17:00

Well I'm back after a FIVE HOUR power cut. It seems someone knocked over a power cable pole in a field. Typically they couldn't find the right GANG to fix it.

So it has been peaceful. Now the fridge/freezer is whining away, trying to freeze everything again. The fan is now on circulating the WARM AIR.

Has anybody got all this rain we were promised ?? It like a heat wave here.

Have had two showers today, might well be a third if it doesn't cool down a bit :-| :-| :

Never mind Jane, Give her a bit of BREAD AND PULLIT if she won't eat pork.

I picked my first runner beans this morning. Looking forward to those with dinner tomorrow.

Looks like my Cauliflowers won't come to anything this year. They are starting to spread out, and the flower seems to have the fly Think I might pull them up, and give the cabbages a bit more room. Carrots don't seem to be growing either, I think the potato leaves have kept the light from them. Not doing very well am I ???.

Ros is outside de-heading the flowers and roses and generally tidying up the boarder.

Neighbours should be back from St Ives this afternoon/evening. They never phoned to say they wanted Milk, bread etc.. So one of them will have a trip to Tesc#. Years ago you couldn't do that. !!! You had to rely on your neighbours to get those things in for you

Yes Mel, When I have had my knee done, and I feel like sitting in the car for a couple of hours, we will go down to Harlow., but as I said I think I will pass on a caravan break on the East Coast in October. What do you say MANDY. ?? :-) :-)

I think Madam wants a cup of tea, so will see you later.

Afternoon All

Another warm day but a lot of clouds around and the occasional drips of rain. nothing much.

OH got the green house frame up, just finishing the door and will call it a day, says he'll wait till all our visitors and baby sitting jobs are over then he'll start putting in the glass, looks good :-D :-D

Ann hope your not in for some kind of virus?

need a cold drink :-) :-)

Hello all, just checking in to read the latest postings. Hot and sticky here again and the rain that the predicted on the TV forecast has no intention of watering my garden!

We went to our little local town today and I've sent out some more photos by email, nothing exciting but hey, what the heck.

Carmel got the date for her MRI scan this morning which is August 9th. Maybe when that's done and there are so results (if any!!!) then her neurologist can start this other treatment for her perpetual headaches once more.

Anyway, that's about all from me/us for today. C Y A L

Thanks for that advice Ann,

My internet provider is BT but the e-mail problem is with Yahoo

I read your posting regarding your hair.I recall an earlier avatar you had. There was nothing wrong with it.....You're an attractive woman.

I could open another e-mail account but that wouldn't let me access the e-mails in the problem account, very irritating.

I read a week or so back that Yahoo mail was being hacked.I big problem.

It may have been a virus attachted to an e-mail.
Either way it's a nuisance.

Afternoon All,

Yes Mel,..........OH agrees you should keep on at me next year!!!! ;-) ;-) lol. You're ganging up!! lol. It's good that the hogs are staying closeby. Your OH will need to build extra hedgehog hotels for next winter at this rate!! :-) How are those little chicks of yours doing now, are they all thriving? :-) I think a lot of our flowers are not lasting well in the scorching sun.....plenty of deadheading to do.

How odd, all these problems with emails. David, ring the helpline for your provider. Ours is an 0800 number so is free. At least they will be able to tell you if there is a general problem and that they are sorting it.

Frank, we are really looking forward to our trip to MIL's tomorrow!! ;-) Watch this space! We had noise here last night. The neighbour and DOG are back from their hols and it was growl and yap all evening as she went out and left him in the garden. OH was painting the old arbour near the fence this morning and it was the same again, yap, yap and growl all the time he was painting. I could Grrrrrr him!!

I went to he bead sale this morning and it was that stifling hot in the hall it nearly made me ill. I was sweating, trickling down my back and my glasses slipping down my nose and I was only in long shorts and a loose top. I felt like there wasn't enough air and went shaky so had to go and stand near the door where you went in...... and pretend to look at things I didn't want till I cooled enough to go and pay! lol. :-S As soon as I was in the cool car a few minutes I felt better, but had a lie down for a while when I got home. OH has been collected by a footie pal.

What a shame you didn't do Normandy CHICKEN Jane, it would have been ok for everyone then. I would be panicking what to get her now, but I'm sure you will rustle something up. Think I will make up a jelly with fruit for later now. It will be easy with icecream. :-D I meant to say but forgot, that our red flowers seem smaller this year too. You should get a second lot of flowers if you cut all the stems down to half their length now.

Mel.I can't e-mail out because I can't get into my inbox to do do so.

I read Franks message, says he was on the phone 3 hours

Don,t like the sound of that at all.
