O I laughed at your last post Ann. Things lie that don't bother me. I have had a spider fall straight into my closed eye before now. Just brushed it off and went back to sleep.
William that was a good thing to win for your group. I hope it goes a long way.
Hope Muareen has'nt had an accident with the loft conversion. I t is a long time since we heard from her.
I have cleaned the kitchen today as SIL is coming on Sunday. Don't know how long for but they sometimes stay with us a few days and then go on to somewhere else from here. Ann your a naughty girl because you said you were going to enter that lovely picture across the field through the gateway and the round bales and popies you took a year or so ago into the Country File competion and now it is too late. You could also have sent in the moon. You really do take some smashing pics.
Mandy I am so pleased Bunny has been found and you have a very happy little grandaughter again now. Just as well he was in school and not along the road otherwise someone else may have taken a shine to him and he would have never returned!!

Well, I FORGOT to mention........I was laying in bed last night (this was before I took the pics) and was drifting off nicely when I thought I felt a stray hair tickle my cheek. I brushed it away, but after a few seconds it tickled again! I brushed my cheek again, then felt tickling across my cheek and a 'leg' in the edge of my nostril!! :-0 :-0 :-0 All hell broke loose then as I swiped at my face harder and knocked something off into the bed. I put the light on (dim setting) and saw something run across the sheet under me and swiped it off onto the floor. I flicked the light up and leaned over but it had DISAPPEARED!!! Of course I couldn't sleep then could I in case it came back! Still it did mean I got those nice photos. Of course now I'm thinking 'will it be out again tonight?'

Afternoon All,
Yes well done Will......that win was a nice surprise. :-). I tend just to leave my camera on the AUTO setting as I have never got to grips with all the manual settings!! Once I start reading about speeds, focal length etc my attention starts to wander!! I really should do a proper photography class.........one day! Jane, sometimes just tilting the camera a bit makes quite a difference.
That's great the bunny has been found Mandy. I bet Katie's face lit up when she heard that!!
What interesting pressies Hannah has brought back for you Jane. As Mandy says, the alpaca socks will be so soft. Mind you, alpaca wool felts very well, so be careful how you wash them. Chris won't want to end up with socks that fit little William!!
Frank, I can't remember when I last hoovered, but it can wait a bit longer I think!! I notice the windows at the back have a few splatters after the jetwashing, but the window cleaners are due on Monday, so they can wait till then. Tire of a man in a uniform?..........I don't think so.lol :-D ;-)
Mel I think 'more money than sense' sums them up nicelyl!! They are the sort that wouldn't want someone else to benefit from paying less for it than they did! ;-) Your courgette's doing well. I wish you could get mini ones of those like the cues, then I could squeeze one in my greenhouse. The cue is up to the roof now so I think I will have to train it over the top of the door frame. I am worried now that it might be getting mildew as I saw a powdery bit on a leaf this morning. :-S
We've just been doing errands today. We called in the bank first and both set up monthly saver accounts wich are paying a bit better interest than most kinds of account at the moment. At least we will be squirrelling a little away at a higher rate each month. The chap we saw there was quite tall and said he lives the other side of the city. He said it was his first day at this branch as he is based in Rugby. The poor chap was having trouble at our little old thatched bank ........said he kept banging his head in the low doorways!!
Maybe Maureen is busy with the loft conversion at her son's?

I must put this on here .it did make me chuckle even though sad.It was in the Obituaries in the ET Name of Person then After a seemingly endless illness, not at all bravely born, has finally shuffled off this mortal coil on the 17th July. Much loved daughter and sister and cousin of *******. Sorry girls, but there will be no reunion at my funeral,as stubborn to the end.I am not having one !.(nor will there be any kind of memorial service!)
Hopefully they all got to say their goodbyes before she passed away.....But it did make me smile .
Mandy how lovely Bunny has been found and is now safely back home. No bugs in Hannahs ears lol......He had to do the check at lunch !!!.Bet they got some funny looks

Evening everyone,
Phew another hot day after very heavy rain first thing ,we went out for lunch with son and family and Jake stopped with us this afternoon ,so we have making things all afternoon .
Yes good news about Bunny Rabbit....he's been found !! :-D :-D son asked on the internet if anyone had found a bunny ,word got round and someone got in contact with the care taker of the school ,seems that Bunny had spent the night in the school after all :-D he wasn't dropped on the way home at all !! :-D :-D Smiles all round when Katie came this morning cuddling Bunny Rabbit.
Ann, lovely photo's of the moon ,i looked out last night and thought how nice it looked with the clouds drifting past ,never thought of taking a photo.
Well done William on the win ,the group will be pleased ,nice to hear of some one winning some thing .
Goodness Frank, all these showers ,you'll be all shrivelled up like a prune !! :-0 ;-) :-D
I've found two tiny pieces of glass today on the kitchen floor , neither of us has broken a glass or anything so i don't know where they came from ,can only think we must have brought it in on our shoes or the family did when they came .
Sounds like you both had some lovely presents Jane, the socks should be nice and warm made from Alpaca . I hope Chris didn't find any thing in Hannah's ears :-S
No ,no Maureen for a while now , hope she's ok.

Jane after having a zzz this afternoon, I thought I would freshen up again so far today it's THREE, See how I feel when I am ready for bed, it might be FOUR.
Ros has a recipe for dinner tonight, she won't tell me what it is, but smells lovely, I'm sure I will like it, as I haven't cooked it !!
Clouding up here again, so I won't bother to water tonight. Have checked the greenhouse and that's fine.

Frank, Jane, I don't know what form of support this 'prize' will get us yet. The lady who spoke to me said I'd be getting a letter with all the details and a local contact name and phone number. It's probably like grants we've had in the past, you have to justify that the money will be spent wisely and beneficially. Our main outlay is our monthly rent for the local CAB room. As the group is for carers, we have never charged a membership fee, thinking that then everyone is equal, regardless of their circumstances. We have been lucky with grants etc in the past and support from the local Fire Station, which sadly has closed down. We run a 'bring and bid' for members each year which is fun as well as lucrative, but that only works if you get a good turn out. Luckily for us, the CAB are very good and though we have been there for years now, they have never increased our rent. In fact they are very supportive of us.
I'll keep you posted as to what benefit it brings.
Like Jane, I took photos of the full moon last night but it was a waste of time. You need a slow shutter camera.

Oh boy,it has become unbearably humid this afternoon.I think its my turn now to have another shower. How many have you had so far today Frank??? I picked 3lb of peas earlier and I think they are almost finished now.Just picked Chris up from he station. He said he spent a good 2and a half hours over lunch with Hannah and has come home with some nice pressies from Peru.I have a beautiful pair of earrings with some type of seeds in,a little pot made on the floating Island she visited.Chris has some lovely soft socks made from Alpaca.(they will be good with his walking boots). But it almost seems a shame to use them. Some Tea bags made from the Coca Leaf !!!! Hannah says its disgusting lol.You should smell them :-0 A lovely hand made soap made by Nuns and a jar of jam which is apparently very sweet .I have no idea what it is made from.It does have a name on the jar so will google it and see what I come up with.
William that was a nice surprise win :-D :-D The group will be very pleased. I hardly know what to do with myself and I can't get any closer to the fan :-D At least there is no cooking to be done tonight.Chris had a big lunch and I did a ready meal for myself. So It might just be Ham Salad :-DThat will suit us fine. Off to have a look at Franks email I see has just arrived The canal)
Mandy has the little Rabbit been found?

Well done Will, What type of support will that buy ???
Carolyn bought round two carrier bags full of broad beans, so like a good BOY I have sat and podded them, ready for Ros to blanch and freeze.
I made a bit of mess on the floor so decided to hoover it up. Before I went to the cupboard to get out the little dyso#, I decided to dry up breakfast things. Went to put two glass's away and DROPPED them on the tiled kitchen floor, you can imagine the mess. I have swept the floor and hovered, I must tell Ros to be careful where she walks without any slippers/shoes on. You know dammed well there will be a bit somewhere.
So I ended up hovering right through the bungalow including the conservatory, now I am sweating like a pig, NOT ANOTHER SHOWER I hear you say, sorry but that's where I am going. :-D :-D :-D
Suns out here now and it's getting warmer. so might end up under my tree with my book later.

GR playing up again. Couldn't get on to post last night, and had to do 'stepping stones' to get here again today.
The one post I put on last night disappeared into the ether - and I GAVE UP!!!
So a bit of rain overnight and a bit cooler, maybe some proper sleep tonight.
We had a nice surprise yesterday morning. I had a text from a friend of ours - who now lives near Cambridge and who we hadn't seen for a while - to ask if was OK to pay us a visit. So she duly got here for lunch time and we had such a lot to catch up on. Carmel got a bit tired later in the afternoon, nothing new there, so I volunteered to take our friend Mel for a walk. I took her all round our large Miners Welfare Park, up through the new kids play area and out through the ex Coombe Abbey gates and back along the Coventry. All the time I was filling her in on local history and things that were personal to us. It made a nice change for all three of us. If we ever get chance, we have an invitation to go visit her in hr new accommodation
Monday was the same, we had an unexpected visitor after a fair absence. So two good days on the trot.
Another nice surprise yesterday morning was an unexpected phone. I think I've said before, I help run our local carers support group. Apparently I entered a competition on behalf of the group which was being run by a local volunteer association. It seems I won the group £200's worth of support. Can't be bad for someone who never wins anything!.
Hope you are all having a good day. I can't remember what I put in my post that disappeared so now you'll never know - come to that, neither will I!!!

Morning all/Evening Kim,
Mel that's the first job on the agenda today :-) :-)
We had a lot of rain last night. Would do, after me watering everywhere. Still a fine drizzle this morning, and much cooler.
Feet went down last night after laying in bed with them up on the bed head. But they are coming up again this morning.
Ros has just gone out with Carolyn, She's back from Teneriffe and a weekend in Hastings. Alright for some :-D :-D :-D.
Going to start deleting, see you later.

Where is everyone?
Been up the tunnel. One of my yellow courgettes has branched into three so I have cut one branch off. Masses of very small fruits on it so I am hoping they will get bigger now.

Morning All an dEvening Kim,
Sunshine again this morning after the rain last night. They say we will have showers today so we will see if they are right.
It did come down quite heavily last night and the grass looks better this morning and the road is still wet.
Mandy I hope bunny is found and returned. It is so horrid when you lose a favorite toy when you're young. A replacement is never quite the same...............I hope he can find his way back home.
Frank I hope you can delete some of those posts that repeated yesterday!! Did'nt they come up a lot? :-(
