Well all the wasp traps are in situ, around the rear of the bungalow. Now the wait to catch them. !!

Phone just rang, It's Martine. She's had another Heart attack and is back in hospital. When Ros collects me tomorrow she will be able to pop along and see her . but knowing Ros she will want to pop in this afternoon/evening.

Ros hovered a wasp up in her new Dyso# and emptied the dust pot into the bin, and the wasp flew out !! Fortunately I was on hand to knock it to the floor and put my size NINE on it. ;-) ;-)

Harvey is back. Should have got home 11.00 pm last night. The traffic was bad in France, so they were delayed and never got home till 3.00 am this morning. Lara has been staying there while they have been away. She has left the place in a right old state. He and Julia gave her a right old Boll#ing, and Harvey has been cleaning everywhere since he got up. Julia was back at work this morning. Lewis goes back to School on Wednesday. Lara moves into her flat next week (Harvey said thank GOD)

Still a nice day here, with plenty of sunshine.

Fiona, It's nice that you have a few mg in hand if you need it. But if you are anything like me, I hate taking more tablets, if I can get away with fewer. I can take up to 12 painkillers a day, but try to get by on 4 or 6. depending how much pain I am in.

Frank Hogwart will stay out this winter and we hav'nt seen any small ones this year so hopefully I shan't have to have one indoors this year. I only kept him as he was under a lb in weight and would not have survived. They don't hibernate till about November but depending on the weather, if it is very cold they will do so earlier. If it turns warmer they will come out to feed if there is any food around.

Fiona it is good to know you can up the meds if needed. Hang on to your hats!!!!!

We hav'nt heard from Maureen lately, I hope she is ok.

I'm ironing........................................................

Afternoon all,

Back from the hospital ,up there by nine thirty ,out at nine forty five !! didn't even have to pay for the car park as we were under thirty minutes :-D

Lovely morning ,just a little cloud and it's certainly warming up again.

Making Beef Cobbler for tonight ,meat cooked for twenty minutes in the pressure cooker comes out so so tender ,got a nice savoy cabbage ,carrots, runners and new potatoes , i thought a gravy meal for tonight and as it should be hot again in the week we'll probably want salads again.

Better get my floors washed .

Afternoon All

Very little sun today ,when it does come out it only just there , very windy.

Sorry Jane , been looking back over the last day or so posts , and must have missed your question about medication,
Managed to get the pain nurse finely on the phone, I told her I had left a message a few days before, she said she is only in on a Monday / Thursday, so I will know when to leave my messages. anyway I have now gone up to 60 mg she said that was fine, my limit is to 75 ( but must tell her every time I need to increase) then when I reach 75 mg I need to get in touch to arrange another visit to see the specialist at the hospital,
It is a lot easier now the hot weather has gone, but as I mentioned before I just have to wear hats to suit the increase or decrease of temp.

Morning my lovelies,

Nice bright morning here, a bit of a nip in the air, but sun is quite warm.

Feet still up like little puddings, my toes look like sausages, anyone for a sausage sarnie ??? :-D :-D

I watched Vera last night and got the plot of the toeless man correct, way before they did. size 7 and 9 shoes. Just call me "DICK TRACEY"

Conrad has just rung on SKYPE. They are selling properties like "hot cakes" on the present development they only have TWO villas left. The next phase with have SIXTEEN VILLAS. All have been sold "OFF PLAN" So he should be back in the money soon. He hopes to get back home for Ros's birthday on the 19th.

Harvey, Julia and Lewis should be home later today. I think Lewis is back to school tomorrow.

The dead tree in the garden has been having woodpidgeon's breaking off little branches with their beaks. I wonder why ?? is it to repair their nests or build a new one !!

That's some trip that James has got, just to get to his destination. How long is he there for ?? Hardly worth unpacking if it's only seven days :-D :-D :-D

How are the HOGS doing Mel, are they getting ready to hibernate yet ?? Will you bring HOGWART back inside this year, or let him get his own house ??

Ann You certainly find some interesting places to photograph. Is the greenhouse "water bottles" How does the sun penetrate through them ?? I would have thought they would reflex the sunshine.

There is a "TRIANGLER LODGE" in RUSTON near Corby. It was built by some eccentric old boy back in the dark ages. three sided, three windows on each side three doors on each side. It's an ancient memorial . I bet Jane will know it.

Time for a coffee and a bit of lunch.

Tonight it will be Cold pork, baked jacket potato, salad and coleslaw. Nice and easy and no real cooking.

Yes .are you there Will, is everything alright ???

Morning Mel and All
Mel I have been a good gal and done some ironing so this is the first time here today.I don't have any bother getting on here at all it is just the Error message that pops up almost every time when I press the submit button. But it gets posted anyway :-S :-S
I have the sneezes this morning, must be something in the air again.A different kind of pollen.
I think i have just seen a baby woodpidgeon come out of its nest for the first time.It seemed to be with an adult and there was a lot of flapping of little wings and wobbles. It wasn't that clear as they were in amongst the branches.

Phew it is much warmer today.I thin kI will have to put a different top on.Chris is painting the fence and maybe summerhouse and in a while I'm going to see Fitz before he goes in tomorrow for his op.I might take down a couple of those little pasties I made yesterday.

I'll BBL No William yesterday or the day before???

I wonder who drank all that water or lemonade Ann?

That house looks so thin in parts. I wonder how many rooms it has? I too would lik eto see inside.

Been hedgehog watching.

Poor Colin will be sick and tired of those old floor tiles if they are only coming off in small pieces Mandy. Bet you will be glad when you have the new tiles down. You don't realize how often you go into the kitchen till the floor is up or wet!!We have that flotex carpet in ours and it badly needs a wash. I have bought the new carpet washer but hav'nt had time to use it yet. Don't know how dry it leaves the carpet. Only used to my old vax.

Will watch Last Remains and Vera on replay.

Night night see you in the morning.

David you need to get in touch through GP to get an assessment from the Occupational Therapists. They will get you set up with any help you need. You shouldn't have to struggle like you do.I'm surprised you didn't have a home assessment before you left hospital.

Frank, Hannah has been to Barcelona and has got back tonight.I had a quick call from her this evening to say she had landed. Will speak to her tomorrow night.
I think James flies off tomorrow night to Greece.Landing in Athens at 4.30am .then a bus ride for an hour and a half to Piraeus to get a ferry at 7.30 am for a 12 hour trip to the Island Milos....He will miss my pasties lol.I still have some filling left in the fridge as the pastry fell to bits and so I could only do 4.I will get some more pastry tomorrow and use up the rest of the stuff.I do think they will taste nice .Lunch sorted tomorrow :-D
Janice said it took her so long to warm up ,so yes I reckon they have had a snuggle up .Tomorrow they will be in Bergen. But tonight they have been forewarned of a rough night at sea :-S.Sea sick pills taken just in case lol
I have missed the beginning of Vera so might watch it on I Player

Just spotted an email from Ann.Will go and have a look :-D

Miss you David, I am sure if you contact your GP practice they will arrange for a District Nurse to call in every day to help with bathing. Ay least it's worth a call. You might be lucky to have a young BLOND :-D :-D :-D Like me, you wouldn't know how to handle that. !!

Frank Report 1 Sep 2013 20:38

I came down to the conservatory when XF started. It's a bit chilly out there for shorts !! so I am in the bottom end of the lounge away from the Tele.

Those pasties sound a bit different Jane, Hope Chris and James like them. We have only seen the odd wasps, that's why Ros want's her traps doing. I will bait them up in the morning.

Apart from cooking dinner and loading the dishwasher, I have had my legs up on the pouf with THREE cushions under my legs. But as yet they haven't gone down. I had this a few weeks ago in the hot weather, but it's not that hot now

Mandy, When I took up the kitchen floor here, I used a BOLSTER and hammer. They were the old square plastic type, stuck down on a tar under glue . So I know the job your OH is having. I like you laid a tiled floor. The only trouble is the fitted kitchen was put in soon after the floor was taken up, and before I could tile. So the tiles only go just under the units. The kick boards hid the mess underneath. I have also stored some spare tiles under the units in case of breakages.

Jane sounds like Janice will have to cuddle up to hubby to stay warm <3 <3 I bet it is "brass Monkey) out there. :-0 :-0 :-0 Hope she is enjoying it. When is James off on his break is it Wednesday. ?? Also has Hannah gone to Barcelona yet???

Mel, our local farmer always cuts his hedges after gathering in his crops. I bet he thinks "that's it for another year" But of course he will be ploughing and sowing again soon, So it all goes full circle. But everywhere looks so clean and tidy, he is the cleanest farmer around this area. I have been round his yard, office and grain stores. They are as clean as a whistle.

David, We could do with a bit of rain here. Everywhere is as dry as a bone. We are watering the plants every evening, but it's not like a good overnight rain !!

Well I'm off for a shower and put my dressing gown on before VERA.

See you in the morning

Just had a bath.What a carry on.
Standing on my good leg then hoisting bad leg into bath.
Get my balance and grip the thing on the wall.
Stand through the injured leg and hoist the good leg over.
Carefully lower into the water etc

The reverse is harder and I make sure Ive emptied the water first.

Can you get a home help for bathing purposes Im wonderin?

Its all down hill and upstream lately

Chris reckons it might be rabbits Mandy. But there has been shots going off all afternoon :-S
Hope you don't have to hang around too long tomorrow with your friend.I think they whip through chest X-rays quite swiftly .
I need to dish up dinner now and then hopefully get cleared up before X F :-D

Thank you Frank for passing on Kim's message , poor Kim sounds as if she is having a rotten time of it .

Is that rabbits being shot Jane?, we have a terrible stink here :-S :-S we always get it this time of the year when they spread the muck on the fields !! :-S :-S it's just a good old country smell !! NOT :-S :-S
I was going to ask what the weather was like in Norway at this time of year ,i hope Janice has taken her thermals :-D :-D

This blooming old cushion flooring :-S it's coming up a little bit at a time ,hubby has been scraping away all afternoon and there's still more to get off, it's leaving a sticky gum on the floor so when you walk across you stick to it !! :-S :-D
I have found some old mats from the shed to put down until the floors tiled .

Off early to the hospital tomorrow ,have to take my friend for a chest xray , no appointment ,just sit and wait your turn so we might get done quickly if we're early .

You keep the wet stuff please David.I don't want it here :-D.It's been a very nice day here (not bragging of course) ;-)

My sister rang from the cruise ship .They have been to a glacier today. She said it snowed last night and it was blooming freezing .Also she has had call from her son to say that his partner has gone into hospital .Little William's baby Brother is not due for 3 weeks .I think she has just gone in for observation at the moment so may just go home again, or not..We will just have to wait and see what happens :-D.
I am actually pleased Janice and Larry are away as the other set of G Parents to be are available and Rachel my Niece will look after William if needs be.I just want Janice and Larry to enjoy this holiday.

I see poor Mel is having trouble with the site again :-S

Thanks Frank for sending Kim's message .She is not sounding too good is she :-(
As long as she knows we are all thinking about her .I hope she can soon join us again.

Just caught up with your posts.

Funny you should say about "What No" Frank as I was thinking about that the other day too and don't know why it came to mind. I should have a nice rest with your feet higher than your body to get those swellings down before Tuesday. You naughty boy!! Smacked b*m for you..............

Our harvest have been over for some weeks now and the only thing left in the fields at the mo is the sweetcorn for silage for the cows. They started cutting the hedges here too so it all looks nice and tidy at present.

We have huge blackberries this year all over the garden. I picked some day before yesterday and some today and made some Brimble Jelly but it did'nt yeild much. I did it in the micro and only got a lb and a quarter out of it. Still it will be much nicer than any you could buy in the shops. Shall have to have toast for brekky tomorrow so I can try it.

Put the camera out late last night after seeing two hogs feeding together but only got one at a time on camera. What I did get, and for the first time to is the rabbits. I am surprized they hav'nt appeared on the camera before.

Had another dead fish in my pond today and yesterday. Oh has taken out the massive oxygenating weed saying he thinks it is what s killing them as it dos'nt give out oxygen at night. I must get rid of some of the male goldfish too as they are bashing the poor girls to bits. Randy beasts.

Not got up the tunnel yet today so I better go and corn the chickens and water the tunnel and bring down some more marrows for my table which is not big enough at the mo.

Mandy ,we had to fork out for a new suit for James a few months back. His old one was to tight just like your son :-S.But because of James's shape. He has a long back but not so long legs that it isn't possible to get one straight off the peg.So he has to buy one and have it altered .

Frank I would still go along to hospital. If it is just a fluid build up I can't see why the op can't go ahead.I think a problem would be if there is any infection.Just rest it !!!!!!!!!! and elevate see if that helps things go down.
I haven't seen any wasps today, not too many flies either. You wait now I have said that there ail be hoards of the blighters .

Chris has gone out for a walk and I have been making Courgette,Onion,Sage and Parmesan Pasties.Sounds horrible doesn't it,but I had a little taste and I think they will be ok.
I still have my shorts on too Frank.I did hear that it is going to get warmer through the week until the weekend :-D.Maybe back to the mid 20s.

There is a lot of shooting going on around here :-S.Proper Shotgun Bangs.

Must go and check on these Pasties BBL
