Ive noticed that cooking seems to be popular with most of the thread users.
I''m the most basic of cooks.I can use a tin opener or a frying pan or make a decent sandwich.
Or I buy something cooked at Buttie-licious,plenty of choice,or eat in a cafe, again plenty of choice. On a Friday we phone a chippy who deliver a giant well cooked fish and all the chips you could possibly eat plus mushy peas.Ellen has the same. And its delivered fresh cooked to your door in a short time.Thats us stuffed until mid morning Saturday.
My experiment with the frying pan are nothing exotic, the usual ommelette or bacon and eggs. The tin opener is for when I fancy a can of soup, theres plenty of choice.Or for opening tinned fruit or rice or custard.
I wonder if I'd get on Celebrity Chef?

Sunshine all the way NOW. As Jane said been overcast, but nice now.
Madam has been to the garden centre again. More winter pansies a Hebbie (sp) and a couple of others to go in the space she cleared yesterday. WHY SHE BOTHERED clearing it I don't know.
This site is getting terrible, it took me ages to get on here this afternoon 60/70 pages each time at the most. :-( :-(
I think I had better get the house plants in, as I can't see us getting any rain. If I am not careful they will dry up in the sun :-D :-D :-D
Fiona that was a lovely find. It will be something to hand down in the family
. Ros keeps so much of her mum and grandma things. I said you know what will happen to it when we are gone. DUMPED or sent with house clearance. !!! Her reply is I won't be here to see it. <3 <3
I have still got a dicky tummy, so I will cook dinner for us and leave mine till later or even tomorrow. I couldn't face food :-( :-(
Mandy, I bet you have been or are going to the coast this weekend. I will be at the SEASIDE next Tuesday.!!! and have sea food in Hastings for sure, as John likes it also. We found a smashing place last time we were there, so will probably make for there one evening.
I suppose I will have the job of watering in all the NEW PLANTS. better go and ask.

Good God I have just caught up with your posts.
It has taken me the best part of 40 mins to get to the pages I had'nt read. This is now getting beyond a joke and I am entirely sick of it.
Pat sorry to hear about your bump with the lorry. What part of your vehicle ogt damaged? Glad you were both ok but it does make you look at lorries in a different light whilst driving.
Mandy I laughed when I read about the bristles falling off Clin's brush while he was using it!! I could just imagine his face...... :-0
Been up the boarder this morning cutting down some plants that have finished flowering. Now I need to go and do the other two thirds and get my poor cosmos in. They will soon fill a few holes. I cut my delphiums down and they have resprouted nicely now so I may be lucky and get some small late flowers on those.
My pc keeps turnng itself off whenever it thinks it will!! Time to look at new ones I think and that would be for both of us!!!!!!!!MORE EXPENSE as our Frank would say.
I see Ros has been busy in the garden again Frank. It always amazes me that the weeds can grow soooooo quickly and the plants you want to don't.
Mandy one step nearer to that new kitchen then. What colour floor tiles did you pick?

Afternoon All
Lovely warm & sunny here, just been up to put some flowers on mum & dad's grave , grass was cut but lots of weeds round the stone it's self, so OH had to take out the weeds first.
Yesterday I was routing in an old box of dishes & knives and forks of my mums, when I came across a box that had a crown on the front, looked inside and there was six tea spoons not silver or silver plated but a golden colour :-S they were very fancy with many patterns on. showed them to OH and he said they look like spoons that where bought to celebrate a royal event, Checked up on the internet and they are from 1937 when King George VI was crowned, must have been bought by my grandparents at that time, and my mum was given them when Papa & Nana passed away. :-D :-D

Afternoon All The sun has finally come out after a very dark morning.Saying that it has just gone in .But it is certainly warming up :-D
Pat,yes Hannah and John have split up.It is all so so sad and none of can really understand why.It was Johns choice and Hannah is a wreck .I can hardly bare to see her like this.So she is staying with friends until she can find somewhere else. She will be finishing her job at the Addiction Centre in a few weeks and then beginning a 3 year stint for a PhD at Kings in London.
My Dishwasher was so noisy last night I taped it lol. Then this morning I went to Cu**ys and got someone to listen to it.His words were CRIKEY!.He thought it sounded like something jamming like the Motor. So I am now looking for a new one. The one we have at the moment is a Bosc* so am going to go for the same make. It is going be a shock having to wash up all the dishes now :-S :-S
I have a lovely pic that my Sister sent. Her daughter and family are away for the B/H so she has been going to look after the 2 cats and tortoise.(Dogs are in Kennels.) Janice went yesterday morning and fed them and all was as usual .When she went back at teatime, she found Tabby in her special bed with 4 little babies :-D :-D.The kittens were all clean with umbilical cords all sorted and they were all suckling. They are sooooooo sweet.............Want a Kitten David ?I know how much you love them ;-) :-D.She sent me another pic this morning with just the kittens .Mummy must have gone off to eat or something. I will send the one of Mum and kittens.
Roast Dinner in and my tummy is rumbling.I have a Pork Loin Joint and a Turkey joint.Pork for Chris and me and the Turkey for James and Hannah.Trouble is I forgot to tell James I was doing a roast and he had made plans.Oh well he can just have things warmed up later.I doubt Hannah will eat much either ,so I reckon cold meat is on the menu for tomorrow.
The sun is out again so I am going to grab a few minutes out there before I need to put the Roast Potatoes in. Will catch up on this mornings posts in a bit.

Afternoon all,
Lovely and sunny here today really warm ,i have the washing from yesterday blowing on the line, and i'am sitting in front of the fan. We called at sons for coffee and then went to Homeb*se to get the floor tiles for the kitchen ,there's 15% off every thing this weekend so we saved a little .
Frank , North Creake is not that far from me , just the other side of Fakenham not far from Burham Market and about 5 miles to Holkham on the coast . That will be nice to have a few days away next week and with your refund you now have your spending money :-D :-D

Who's the LUCKY ONE then Mel, Rain and thick cloud here.
I have been round the houses again this morning to get on here. It gets me all agitated, and bad tempered. If it wasn't for you lot (meant in the kindest way) I wouldn't bother with the Genes site.
Jane you mentioned the VULCAN BOMBER yesterday. It flew over here very low yesterday afternoon. I heard the ROW but didn't bother to get up and see what it was. Ros said t was huge, and so noisy and low. I wish now I had got of my ar#e and looked.
When in the RAF. I played football at many RAF stations on a Wednesday afternoon. One was where the V bombers were stationed. One afternoon we were in the middle of the match when a squadron of them took off. The ground trembled under the roar of FIVE of those going off in formation. BUT WHAT A SIGHT.
Nothing planed at this end today. I know madam would like to get in the garden, but somehow I don't think this will happen. I will be content with the paper and my book, till I get dinner later.
Pat where is North Creake near ?? I have never heard of it. !!
I don't envy you sorting out the insurance with a foreign driver. When Ros was wiped out by a Germany driver on the M 1. He did everything to blame her. Saying her tyres were bald ( IT had been MOTd that week) that she drove into his lorry. It went on for THREE YEARS and two back operations before it was sorted, and only then, because her was being summond to court in this Country. Now, to say the least she is terrified of overtaking any lorries. and does so with absolute care.
I trust Hannah is alright Jane. When is she going back to London ??
COFFEE TIME.

I'm late for most of you, but thought I would pop in.
Carolyn rang this evening, inviting us down to Hastings next Tuesday till Friday. Thought it would give me a break before my knee job (not trembler) lol lol but I bet I will be by the time he is finished.
I had another cheque from First Utility this morning for over £250.00. to clear my credit with them. Considering they have owed me this since May, it's taken them long enough. and no interest. :-( :-(
Ros finally came in at 6.30 pm. All her bits are in the greenhouse, ready for the morning, <3 <3 I don't know how she does it, with her back playing up like it is. But she says it's got to be done. HINT HINT :-D :-D I wish I could do it, perhaps when my knee is done I will be able to.
You all seemed to have been busy, with accidents, shopping etc.
Sleep tight, see you in the morning, if I can get on here.
I have just sent a stinking letter to the Support team, regarding the site and these COOKIES. Will they take notice. I doubt it. !!!

Ive slept most of the afternoon.Thought I'd have a lie down, next thing I knew I was waking up nearly 4 hours later.Must be under the weather,I don't usually sleep during the day.In fact prior to the accident I wouldn't be in during the day.
I used to do Ellen's shopping at the super market.More than once I joked that these shopping trolleys morph into zimmers. Look at me now on a walking frame or elbow crutches.
Ann,thank you for those 2 links.I will phone that number tomorrow. I've changed my password so many times which one do I open? The one that works :-)
Patricia nice to see you back .The foreign driver was probably checking his map?Glad no one was hurt.
I'm hoping Mel's foots better.
Rained all last night and most of today.
Hope you enjoy your holiday Jane.Hannah will get over him and start smiling again.
Hope rest of you are OK

Mandy, I didn't see the price as I was in a hurry........OH double parked outside and waiting for me!! I bet it was a bargain though as the things are always about a third cheaper than the other charity shops. I nearly bought a gemstone necklace in Unakite that I saw, but it's a green I don't wear.
Sounds like the shopping went well Jane. I expect Hannah has a lot on her mind with the break up, finding a new place and the new job. It should get better for her as things move on and she settles into the new job. A few new clothes always helps too!! :-)
Mel do you mean the F*milysearch site? I find that a real pain since they changed it and can't find as much on there as I used to.

So i'am not the only one with spiders then :-S i will be giving my towel a good shake from now on .
It wasn't to bad with the paint as it was only emulsion paint and wiped off ok,the brush went in the bin LOL ,and i'am not too bothered about the flooring as its coming up any way and it will be tiled , one coat of emulsion on the walls now ,gradually getting there .
Jane what colours are you trying out for your lounge ?
Son takes a size 12 shoe !! he has some Cr*cs but they have the bit between the toes ,they made the side of his foot sore , Jac*mo have wide fit flip flops, ones with adjustable touch-and-close fastening on the tops .
Ann, the little ones have lots of Lego, they had all sons from when he was small , how much were they selling it for ? if we see any on the car boot stalls it is usually quite pricey, but it is expensive to buy from new .
Rain has finally stopped .
