I see Mandy ,Ann and Frank sneaked in without me seeing. Well Ros has been a busy bee in the garden.I see you have been the butler Frank taking refreshments :-D
Mandy The air would have been blue here if that had happened with a paintbrush .Have you managed to get the paint off the floor ?
Ann your FIL sounds a stubborn old so and so lol.Lets just hope he never has that tumble down the stairs at the footie !
Chris has done a little painting today !!!!!.Well not painting as such .He has been doing the tester pots on one of the walls in the lounge. And in large writing beside each colour is the name .I call it wall art :-D.Still can't decide though :-S
Mel I meant to say thanks for letting us know that you heard from Kim and how Joel is doing. Can we still not send emails to Kim? Got to think about dinner now :-S

Ancestry have taken away the Old Search which I used all the time as I can't get on with the New Search. No option now to go anywhere but the new one so I shall have to have a good go at looking things up and see if I can get used to it.

Jane I think your birds are Swallows or House Martins and not Swifts.
You certainly have a blimmin lot opf them.
Just been up the tunnel and watered and found the courgettes had turned into marrows!!! Have cut them off now.
Poor Gordon having to cope with two frames as well as two invalids. Hope they all enjoy the match.
Oh has been watching the the grand prix pole postions on the telly with Alan.

LOL Mandy! One of them does and has SENSE, but FIL insists on going to the top but one row of the stand!! :-S I can see him falling all the way down the stairs one day, he's quite unsteady now. He can use a lift to get up, it's getting to his seat from there that's tricky. :-S OH doesn't even go in the stand, he likes to walk about and have a chat to different people.
Ros has got much more stamina than me Frank. She has done well getting all that done in the garden today. I can remember having an Etch-a-Sketch and loving drawing things on it. My brother had some lego, but nowhere near as much as I saw today. I can remember telling him off for leaving it lying about when I trod on it in stockinged feet.......ouch!
Pat that must have been frightening with the lorry. It's always a worry with foreign lorries. OH was hit by one once and they couldn't trace the insurance company that was given.
Oh Mandy........paint all over the place!! Did he push it back on again and 'make do?' :-S Mind you, it would probably drop off again!

Mandy talking of spiders. They must love towels.Chris came out of the en suite the other morning and said that I must stop hiding spiders in his towel !!!!!.He said there was a huge one that fell out when he picked the towel up to dry himself lol.The little devils (some big devils) are everywhere at he moment :-S
Hi Pat.I hope your visit went well with your son and family.I bet bet Mocha has really enjoyed all the fuss and loving from the G Children. Is he a happy boy now that he is top dog again?
My hand does feel strange without the ring.I took in in this morning and it should be repaired in a week to ten days at £40,which I think seems reasonable.I would have paid anything to get it fixed. They might even give it a nice clean too :-D
Ooh Pat that really must have given you a shock.Thank heavens neither of you were hurt.At least you have a car sorted for your holiday.I hope the weather picks up again for you.Where abouts are you going to be staying? I have a feeling you might have already told us ,but I have either forgotten or missed the post.
It is so dark here, and has rained on and off.More this afternoon than this morning. Hannah and I went to Corby to do some retail therapy :-D.She got a couple of dresses for when she starts her PhD.I bought her one last week too.She said she needs to be reasonably smart ,and not live in jeans and casual tops like she has done working with clients at the Addiction Centre.I think she is actually looking forward to dressing 'up' a bit.I bought James a pair of flip flops (not with the bit between the toes but the band over the foot as that is something he hadn't bought for Greece and will need something like that for beach and pool. The only problem might be that he can't actually get his feet under the band.He has very wide feet and a size 12. :-S Dainty eh!...He looks like he has boats on his feet lol. Then we went to Tes** for a couple of bits.Hannah has gone to a friends for a couple of hours for a natter and cuppa. She is ok but just so tired and quiet.Hopefully the few days away in Barcelona will put a bit of spark back in her.
Mel what a shame you had such a rainy day to go out with your guests.Cheesy Chips. Is that when you have melted cheese on the top? I have had that once and even though it is not healthy I thought it was blooming scrummy :-D :-D..Did you say you had Ginger ice-cream? Now I don't fancy that.
There is a very large basket of clean washing staring at me.I'm staring back at it :-D :-P..I don't think any of it is mine .

It was so funny a while ago hubby was painting away when all of a sudden the end came right off the brush :-D :-D all he had was the handle of the brush ,the end splashed onto the floor :-S :-D a few choice words were said !! :-D
Nice to see you Pat , are you coming to the usual place here in Norfolk ,sorry the name escapes me at the moment , that was nasty getting hit by that lorry shakes you up a bit ,main thing though no one got hurt .
Oh i know why OH's taking two with walkers to the football Ann......don't they get front row seats ;-) :-D :-D :-D

What a waste of time putting all the plants out. It's been fine all day.
Ros has been in the BACK garden since 10.30 this morning. I took a sandwich down to her at lunchtime with a coffee. and I have just taken tea a cake. She will ache tonight, but it does look good what she has done. A real good clear out at the side of the greenhouse. Two bags of rubbish. The green bin is so full you can't close the lid. !!!
Bit of a disaster for you then yesterday Mel. Nothing worse than trying to enjoy yourself in the rain.
I bet that SPIDER gave you a right old scare Mandy. We had one on the ceiling last night. It was big enough to put a "SADDLE ON" I managed to get hold of it and put it out of the window. Ros almost has kittens when they run across the carpet. :-D :-D You have been lucky with all that sunshine. I think we will get it tomorrow.
Ann, I use to buy my two children Lego. they had biscuit tins full of it. On a rainy day, it would keep them busy for hours. Do you remember the "ETCH A SKETCH"?? They had one each, and hold competition's who could draw the best picture. Do they have things like that for the children today.
I watched the Arsenal V Fulham match at lunchtime. The rain down there was pouring down, so it seems to have passed us by.
Not sure what we will be having tonight. Ros does like her Chinese, but I think we will have a change tonight.
Where's our Jane today.?? I suppose she will be busy with Hannah, shopping and nattering (like all you women) I'm just ducking under the table :-D :-D :-D

Afternoon All.
Im still about. Have just read some of your posts.
We have had a busy week here..Last weekend we were at my youngest sons in Dover...First time we had been there for 5 months...then ended up being hit going around one of the roundabouts by a foreign lorry driver.A bit frightening but Alan managed to steady the car as it push us forward.. Lucky we didn't hit the kerb or anything..The car is in for repair now. but wont be fixed before our holiday to Norfolk on Friday so we have a courtesy car..
Clare came with her 3 children on Monday and stayed until Thursday afternoon.I still went into work Wed and left them to their own devices..
Oh to have a tidy and quiet house again..It was lovely to have them to stay lol

Afternoon All,
We had a bit of rain in the night, but it wasn't much. The garden still looks parched and in need of water. Just been out and got some milk and the papers and called in the dogs home shop for a mooch round. Someone had brought in 4 carrier bagsful of LEGO with pieces of tiled roof and allsorts in it!! A lady was looking at it and said her 4 year old grandaughter was building a LEGO village on a table and would be thrilled to bits to get some of it. :-) They were also 'babysitting' a sweet little pom cross shitzu puppy, fawn and white, called Rosie that was so sweet and enjoying all the fuss being made of her.
It's a shame it rained for you Mel, but that sounds quite a walk you had yesterday. I've not seen cheesy chips before, but they sound very tasty and moreish........just what you fancy after a tiring walk. :-D I hope you have a fine day for the dog show......do you go and watch?
David, that is very poor that you still can't get into your emails. Is this any help or maybe it is the freephone number you have tried?
http://mytechstaff.co.uk/yahoo_support.html?gclid=CPXb5KSKlrkCFcbLtAodzQQAeg
This is for small businesses, but I wondered if the same applies about access after changing a password etc?
http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/smallbusiness/bizmail/access/access-31.html
You can't carry on without emails can you!! :-S
Mandy, that's horrid!! I hate it when they get in bedding too...yuk!! I have noticed more creepy crawlies have started coming inside now. :-S
I'm always putting stuff in the dishwasher that catches and clonks!!
OH is off to the match this afternoon. A friend of his will be going with him as well as his dad today, so he will have 2 walkers to put in the boot and get out!! I told him to watch his back doing it or he will be needing one too before long!!
Going to look at Frank's jokes now.... :-)

Afternoon All, Evening Kim,
Wow Jane no wonder your gutted about your wedding ring that's a long time.
My Great Grandmother was married in 1896 she died in 1909 so only wore her wedding ring for about 13 years, my papa kept it and gave it to my mum when she got married (she was the oldest daughter) that was in 1954 she wore it for 45 years and was buried with it,
Mum gave me her engagement ring shortly before she past away saying keep it safe till I am gone( she knew she wouldn't be coming out of hospital) then you can wear it, I wore it as a eternity ring for the first time at her funeral. and it's still there in between my engagement ring and wedding ring today .
felt a bit daft this morning walking round Sain*bury's in a wooly hat but it worked really well keeping the cold air from the A/C and the fridges off my head :-D
we are having pasta for lunch, :-D :-D

Ann you did have a busy rotton day. Bet you were glad to get in bed that night!! I know I would be.
Put the camera out last night but someone had been fiddling with it and I only got stills. Oh reset it this morning after I downloaded the pics and cleared the card.
My foot is playing up today along the outer side it hurts. Must have bruised it a bit somehow or it was all the walking we did yesterday.

Morning all/Evening Kim.
We have the rain :-( :-( :-( very fine drizzle at the moment. When I got up, it looked like we were going to get the "wet stuff" so I put all the houseplants on the patio, to get a wash and a drink of rain water.
Ros worked in the garden till six o'clock last night. She was glad to get in the shower, and when finished put her nightdress on, and settled down for the evening to watch her soaps, and the "Burrowers" She had recorded Dr. Martin. so watched that later. (IS IT A NEW SERIES ???)
You certainly had a day to remember yesterday Ann, I would stay indoors today if I were you. ;-) ;-) ;-)
"THE BIRDS" OMG Jane, I bet you thought you were being invaded . I have seen them on the telephone wires, when they are ready to migrate, but never on a roof top.
David, I think there is no other choice, but to change your supplier. It doesn't look like yours is being much help to you.
All showered and shaved, going to get another cup of tea (THREE) and a bacon sarnie.
Have a safe day whatever you are doing.
Todays supply of jokes are winging their way to you.

I will atart again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Morning All and EveningKim,
Went to Bude yesterday and it rained all day!!!!!!! We were not happy. We walked along the canal for a bit then turned round and came bback and went up the key bit via the icecream place where I had a ginger icecream. Alan wanted to go over the beach to the cafe but we said we were not walking across the beach so we walked round and over the bridge. Had some cheesy chips, bacon and onion and walked back. Tired by this time. They had stalls out on the way up the quay and we bought some scotch eggs and pasties to bring home for tea.
Not caught up completely yet but will try to get on here later. Company leaving here about 2.30 I think and I have to get up the shop before it closes earlier today and oh has to get a gazebo up for the dog show tomorrow on our field.
