Hi everyone,
I see everyone has been having GR problem. One reason that I couldn't get on here till tonight.
So Frank is in Rutland eh. I could have got him to look up some my very ancient relatives. Our family goes back there in the 1700's and they were tailors. From what somebody locate told me, there quite a few of them, which made it difficult to track specific ones.
We had a nice day yesterday. Our eldest grandson came after work and had dinner with us around 3pm then we sat in the garden in the sunshine chatting until after 6pm. It was really super.
Tomorrow, Carmel's sister is visiting from Ireland with her chap on a whistle stop. The time will go so fast and they always have a lot to catch up on.
I didn't know it was a Bank holiday either Jane. Not going to work anymore, you forget about these things, but they don't mean much to us anyway.
Been busy today sorting out my shed after a long winter. Chucked out no end of stuff I never use and moved a lot of wood to the garage. I could do with a new shed really preferably relocated to the bottom of the garden
C Y A L - if I can get on.

What is going on with GR????? I have just had to sign in and it took me back to 2010 :-S :-S James finally got me back on the laptop after sorting out the password. There is one good thing when I can't use the computer and that is I get a lot more done here lol
Thanks Ruby for your words for Hannah. It is just so sad all this. But she is going to see two house shares this evening. One at 6.15 and another at 7.She will ring later and let us know what they are like .She is just at a cafe having a drink and biscuit.
Ann ,I think there could be all sorts of reasons why your FIL has a shake in his hand and arm.Hopefully it is nothing drastic.Fancy your MIL thinking it's funny :-S They must spend a fortune on taxis for no real reason .As the driver said they could have bought one buy now lol.
I see I have missed Frank.I didn't know he was off to Rutland today. I still haven't seen any pics of your Hogs Mel.I haven't managed to get Freeview :-S
It's been a lovely day and the garden is so busy with birds .They seem to all be going a bit crazy at the moment .Loads of Blue tits .I don't know where they all come from .There are so many.
I hadn't realised it is Bank Holiday Weekend coming up.This month has just gone in a flash. Must get dinner started now.Hopefully BBL

Hello everyone,
I too had to sign in this morning, but I don't usually have near the problems getting on the site that you all do. When I played on the games thread I did. It was just too frustrating.
What a huge meal Frank! I don't cook that way any more since it's just me. In fact I usually cook on Friday or Saturday for Sunday's main meal since I'm at church. On Saturday I made potato salad and cooked a chicken breast towards my Sunday meal. When I got home yesterday I sliced some tomatoes and cucumber and sprinkled some Italian dressing over them, and then fried a pan of okra until it was brown and crispy - scrumptious, and that was it. I cook one or two things every day, but enough to do for two or three days, and then just add to it. Makes it easy.
Jane, I thought about your daughter last night when I watched Larkrise. It was the episode where Laura overheard her dad and Fisher Bloom talking, and she realized that Fisher wouldn't be happy settling down in one place. She was so heart-broken. That episode always makes me cry because I too remember how it felt to go through a breakup. I was very young, and I thought my world had come to an end. I am so sorry for the hurt Hannah is feeling.
Our students go back to school this week. Eldest grandson will go back to Uni for his final year. He worked this summer, delivering pizzas for Domi*o's .One GD also goes back for her final year, and another GD goes for her third year. I have three GD's married. Actually, the eldest is already divorced. I have 7 GD's and 2 GS's.
I'd better get moving. Thank you everyone who sent pictures. I'll send some of the local area soon.

O Mandy I a sorry to hear hubbies brother passed away. That must have been a terrible shock for him. A nice sit on the beach can aalways do you good when troubled by something. I hope he feels better about it today.

Morning All, Evening Kim.
Yes Ann, it can be a rise in temperature or a drop in temperature, it's because of the nerve endings in the scalp being inflamed, all the shops have their air conditioning still on, especially the supermarkets , A/C or next to the freezer cabinets does it. or when the temp goes up outside and I'm sitting in a friends car when the sun comes through the window mind you I'm sleeping at night so that's something to be thankful for.
Katherine's interview is sometime tomorrow, don't know what time?
sunny here, at the moment :-D :-D
We think Matteo said Mamma yesterday, but it could be he's just making sounds in his little way, :-D :-D

Morning all/Evening Kim.
I had to sign up for genes this morning as though I was a new customer. I could not get into our site for over an hour.
We has a great afternoon/evening with John He came about 4.00 and bought some beers and a bottle of Red, to go with what Ros had bought. We had a beer while dinner was finishing off in the kitchen.
The lamb was so moist and full of flavour. My roasts and parsnips were to die for. I did individual Yorkshires, and they turned out the best I have made for ages. about three inches high and full of air. I know John can eat well, so I dished him up a dinner that I couldn't even look at, let alone eat it :-D :-D :-D Ros and my dinner would have fitted on his plate. He cleared the lot. We had a break for half hour, then stuck into thre Apple pie and Vanilla custard. Another break and out came the Stilton. We sat round the table eating and drinking till way passed 9.00 pm. When he decided he would toddle off home for an early night.
Just lost two paragraphs Don't know where they went.
I was saying we are going uo to Rutland this afternoon, and staying over. So I won't be around.
Conrad goes back to Spain on Wednesday. The Villas and apartments are selling well, and they aren't built yet. Lets hope it continues.
Mel, those hogs look right little bruisers. knocking each other around like that. is it just playful ???
Glad James saw Hannah settled into her "NEW HOME" and that she will be well looked after, and comfortable. How long will it take her to get to and from work each day. ??? Please give her my love when you next speak. I have known about her for so long, I feel as though I know her <3 <3
Off to pick more beans, courgettes and cucumbers.

Oh David that made me smile......a bit close to home!! I often tell OH that something is wherever he put it. If it turns out I have moved it, I have to eat humble pie and apologise......to his delight!! :-S ;-) He isn't very good at looking though.....can't see what's under his nose sometimes. lol.
I can't find a scart lead for a DVD player we have anywhere and I know we have one!! It's so frustrating when things disappear.

Yes, I suppose he'd be half expecting to hear something about his sister Mandy, but not about his fit and well brother.
Thanks Maureen, I wasn't sure if it was the last one or not!
Fiona, is it the cold air then that makes your head worse? It must be very wearing having these headaches all the time. I hope the increased dose helps. I can't imagine you being a druggie!!!
Best wishes to Katherine on her next interview......she's done well to keep trying and to get an interview and be in with a chance!! She needs to keep her hopes up. :-) :-)

I'd take a photo of them Maureen and put it on the thread so you could all see them.I suspect you'd perhaps be fighting over them.
With the time I was hopitalised in the RVI Ellen's done a lot of shuffling of stuff around. And with my just recenly changing my PC I cannot find the Lexmark 9c 1300 installation disc to load it on to this PC.
It's within these 4 walls, like a lot of other things. It's where you left it is her stock answer.
Ann,hearsay rumour and gossip is usually nasty enough but to have it all detailed in court about a child.....that's horrible..... a waking nightmare.

It was a shock Ann, he was 76 but he was quite fit and healthy , hubby thought that his brother was going to say that it was his sister who had passed away( the one who had the stroke ) as she is now in a nursing home ,she doesn't know anyone any more and sleeps most of the time . So that will be three brothers he's lost and a sister ,and that leaves hubby and his brother and two sisters ,hubby being the youngest of the family of eight .
No Maureen ,that was my sisters hubby who had the op on his knee.

Yes, very sad news Mandy, I can only imagine how your hubby must feel, I would be devastated if it were my brother. Was it the same one that had the operations earlier in the year.
Good luck to Catherine, Fiona, the more interviews she has the more likely she will be of finding a job. I'll keep my fingers crossed too.
Time will settle everything down Jane, I'm not surprised you've been having a good old cry since Hannah left, you did well to hold it in for so long.
Will we get some photos of those cute kittens David, on the other hand if I saw them I'd want them but I don't think Ellen will part with them now will she.
I think it is the last of the Mill Ann, must try and watch it tonight, I've missed a few episodes though, was on my way back from Kent last weekend and the weekend before that I was somewhere, can't remember now :-( and I like to watch Once Upon A Time at 8 and then see The Mill on 4+

Oh how sad Mandy, so sorry to hear your news. Your hubby must have been shocked at hearing that out of the blue. It was a good idea to sit on a quiet beach with your thoughts today, your hubby wouldn't have felt like doing much.

Well, I had a restless night last night thinking about the rellie I posted about last night that was attacked aged 7. You would never see information in a paper like that these days, giving a child's name, age and address!! Just imagine growing up with all the neighbours having read that about you in the paper. :-S It is amazing what detail was given about everything then though, a blow by blow account. I discovered one rellie had been fined at the Petty Sessions for not turning up for work on time!!! It gave his reasons and assurance it wouldn't happen again. Imagine nowadays if youngsters were fined for being late for work!!! Mind you, I can remember people who would lose some pay if the 'clocked in' late at a local factory, half a day's pay if they were more than half an hour late.
I have found some courgette seeds from S*ttons Seeds suitable for pots or containers ie smaller plants!! I shall try them next year. :-D
Is it the last the last in The Mill series tonight....or is there 1 more?

Evening all ,
Been another nice sunny day ,we took ourselves off to the beach this afternoon just to be quiet after hubby had some sad new that his brother died yesterday hardly anyone on the beach so we just sat and looked out to sea watching the boats and seagulls .
Apparently he was found on his bathroom floor ,they think he had slipped and hit his head on some thing ,he was taken to hospital where they found he had a bleed on the brain and he died later in the day ,they don't know how long he laid there ,he always goes to his holiday home at Mundsley on a saturday to see to the swimming pool and get the house ready for the holidaymakers going in but he never turned up and that was when they found him on the floor.

Afternoon All,
I don't have much experience of e-mail providers David, but I thought this looked quite informative and might be useful. It made me wonder whether another one might be better myself. :-)
http://www.pcadvisor.co.uk/features/internet/3448241/whats-best-free-email-service/
No escape from those little kitties now then......they will follow you everywhere to play!! lol.
Mel, they were shoving each other out of the way weren't they!! I watched a recorded Wild Russia prog last night and there were the cutest little long eared hedghogs there. They are smaller and more fawn coloured with big ears. :-) It's good you were still able to ring yesterday, even minus one ringer!! I mentioned it to OH that it must be hard to do and said if weren't experienced it might sound a bit ropey. Well, that set him off chuckling away at me saying 'BELLRINGERS' and 'ROPEY' !!! lol :-)
FIL seems to be getting worse. He had (at last) got a walker when we went for the meal last week but we were surprised how slow and unsteady he seemed and he had to lift his feet into the car with his hand. OH was concerned about him managing at the match on Tuesday (he has a seat near the top of the stand) so we called in today to see how he was. He did seem much better, but they do make a lot of unecessary trips out. They'd jumped in a taxi last Wednesday to go and 'sort' out their tablets at the doctors.....no need as the surgery had already rung them and sorted it out over the phone, so it was a wasted journey anyway. Even the taxi driver told them they will have bought a taxi soon with all their trips!! We did manage to establish a few things they hadn't thought to mention, like the fact he had fallen out of bed recently and that he keeps getting a shaking in his wrist and hand!! Alarm bells were ringing with me, so we have tried to persuade them to mention these things to the doc next week when they go.......I doubt they will, MIL seemed to think it funny. :-S
