Well BLOODY HOORAY. I'M BACK. :-D :-D :-D

Well I have been watching you all. ;-) ;-)

Ann Don't start getting cheeky, or it will be smacked legs.

Was at hospital for 10.00 am wrong entrance ( THEIR FAULT) Loads of questions and answers. Then another 1/2 hour wait. Checked my height, weight ECG blood test (four files) empty arm now !!! Was finally out of there within 2 hours. Should get the Operation by 5th Sept, or I have to go back for more blood tests. Had to do swabs for MRSA. up nose, and around groin, WHY THERE> ???

Madam decided as we were close to town, we (SHE) could go shopping. Parked up and left me in the car, with door open and my book and paper to read. Onto Morriso## for shopping and lunch, home about 3.00 pm.

Loads of Emails sent on, hope they are not OTT for you ladies. !!!

What a beautiful day it is now. All doors and windows open, me down to my shorts. and ready to go into the garden for a little while.

Did we hear how things went for KIM and DAVID ???

It's so strange seeing you all posting, and not being able to reply when I want too. Hopefully everything will go back to normal now. You will get fed up seeing me
rambling on. <3 <3 <3

See you later.

I didn't find anything in town .There seems to be just odd bits in the sales now.Stuff that no-one wants lol.I don't really need anything else form my hols ,but an extra top is never a bad thing to have :-DI'll keep looking.

Mel I completely forgot to say thanks for the little Lavender Heart with the card.it smelled lovely when I opened the envelope :-D

Oh dear Frank is having no luck still.Frank I think you could ask for either the next 6 months free or at least a reduction for all this inconvenience .I see there are several emails come through...Bet that is Frank and jokes :-D :-D

I have written this letter 3 times to send to my Aunty all in my BESTEST handwriting ,and each time I read it through I keep spotting a couple of mistakes. So I'm going to have a rest from it and try a 4th time in a while.I just need to get it right.

O Mandy poor little Chelsea. At least her teeth were safe. That could have been so nasty. Love to see a pic!! She could have even broken her nose!! At least being young she will heal quickly. Bless her.

Ann you certainly had a morning, a Meldrew morning.......... I can never understand why people can't listen to what you are saying. They are so tied up with their own words spilling out. If they shut up and listened to the customer, who is always supposed to be right, they would'nt waste so much time. I do hope you don't end up with two and have to make more phone calls. Good luck.

Ann I am having big trouble still trying to think of colour.I have something in mind but that is as far as it has got :-DI am going to have to get myself off to B&* and get hold of all the colour charts.
But for now I am signing out.I have a very good book to be getting on with .
So night night everyone xx

Jane it made me smile to think of our veg doing more travel abroad than us....well me anyway!! I still must look at those places Hannah was going too.....go*gle earth is wonderful!

Poor Chelsea Mandy, still it was so lucky she didn't do more damage. She'll be showing it to all her friends! lol. It'll be all systems go with your kitchen after tomorrow then and the new sink will soon be in. I hate sorting paint out for walls (don't listen Jane!). It can look so different on each wall in the same room. At least it was just one wall done Mandy. I've repainted the whole room before now.

Evening everyone,

Phew another hot one once the cloud cleared away ,i woke at six and the sun was shining ,by seven it had clouded over and we had a few spots of rain !!
I went to a car boot today ,bought a paperback ,two Dianthus and a Fuchsia :-D

Poor little Chelsea has a black eye :-S she fell off the top step of the bunk beds and some how she managed to twist herself round and caught her eye on the bottom step!!
It's very black under her eye and round the side of her cheek bless her .

What a todo with the patio set Ann, i can see you ending up with two !!! :-S :-D and you saying " i don't believe it" :-D :-D

I bet that was the fastest you have moved for a while Fiona!! :-D :-D :-D i would have been right behind you :-D :-D

Hubby's having tomorrow and friday off , he's getting the sink ready for the plumber to plumb in on saturday :-D ,there's more worktop to come out and the old sink then it will be back to the tiling and painting ,he had painted the wall ready for the radiator to go back on ...... but we didn't like the colour , too dark !! so thats been changed to a lighter green now.

Hope the little chicks are coming along nicely , have you thought of any names for them yet Mel ?

Oh i nearly forgot to send Frank a wave ~~~~~~~~~~~ :-D hope your back with us soon.

Jane

Jane Report 10 Jul 2013 18:24

Not surprised to see you had a Meldrew morning Ann.What a right Palaver :-S
I wonder what you will end up with lol. Hopefully all will be fine and you get just what you ordered ...but just the one :-D
I was looking forward to going to the Festival with Janice and all her tribe but know if it is going to be that hot it will be me doing a Victor Meldrew lol.I will be better off here moaning about how hot I am .This is the reason we never go abroad in the summer but wait until the end of Sept beginning Oct when although it still might be hot is isn't too unbearable. My hands and feet puff up which is so uncomfortable on holiday.

It's Lamb Klefitco tonight ,with New Potatoes,my peas and beans and Asparagus.
The Asparagus I buy comes from blooming Peru ( maybe I should get Hannah to bring some home lol) Why isn't there any English in the supermarket.I thought it was Asparagus time now!!

Oh Fiona, I would to have seen a pic of your face when you saw the mouse!! lol It sounds as if your MIL was a bit trying on this visit. The 'old ways' of doing things are never the same as the 'new ways' are they, but as you say, it's up to the parents to decide what suits them. I can remember protesting and hating going to bed when it was light.

Good luck with your letter Jane. At least it you have some happy memories of him to write about which I'm sure your Aunty will love to read. :-)

Annx Report 10 Jul 2013 17:34

Afternoon folks!

I don't believe it!! :-S I've had a 'Meldrew' morning!! lol. The patio set arrived, only for us to discover they had sent a rectangular table instead of a round one I ordered.....a fat lot of use with the round parasol and table cover that came with it too. I managed to check I'd ordered the right one as the price had gone up £50 since I'd ordered it and I then rang the company. The girl apologised and found that they'd sold out of the round table sets now, so we agreed they'd collect it tomorrow morning and then refund the money to me. Simples!! Then I decided to get straight on and order another set (in case they were all on low stocks!) from another company on line. A new super secure 3d? payment system wouldn't accept my payment on line so I had to phone them and hang on for ages (probably a queue of other folk having the same problem!). Anyway, got a fresh one ordered and sorted ok which was good and the end of the matter, or so I thought! :-) About 10 minutes later the phone rang and it was a man from the original company who spoke very fast with a strong scottish accent. He was delighted to be telling me they HAD got a round table and that they could deliver it and swap or bring a whole new set for delivery!!! :-S It was hard to get a word in and I just managed to say that the girl I'd spoken to had said they HADN'T got a round table, when he burst in with 'Oh but we have etc......and back to the delivery arrangements!!' I tried a couple more times to explain, but he just kept butting in insisting they HAD got a table for me and that he didn't know why the girl had said otherwise. In the end I just said, 'look, what the position is as to whether or not you had a table and whether or not the girl was right or wrong is between you and her and you should be having this conversation with her not me. The important thing to me is that she agreed to collect the set and refund me the money which is still what I want as I've now ordered elsewhere and don't need TWO patio sets!! :-S :-S Once he'd stopped and listened he finally understood and agreed. Now I just have to wait and see if it all happens as it should????!!

I bet those little chicks are cheeping away like mad Mel and staying close to their proud mum! Mum and dad bought day old chicks once, am I right in thinking you feed them a soft mixed food? I was very lucky with the big terracotta coloured pot at the back of the group. It was a water butt that was being sold off when one of the garden centres changed hands and it had no lid so I got it for a tenner! I used to have it on the patio with a phormium in it so it looked like a big carrot! Fingers crossed your cue re-roots itself. Mine's doing well now after the dodgy start. I hate it when they leave all those loose chippings. There are always lunatics going too fast the other way like you say. They have been doing some of the local roads here.......sometimes you can't avoid them....or it's too late by the time you realise.

Sorry Jane, I'll change your email addy in my list now to stop the problem! I'm the same about going to plod about at crowded things outdoors when it is really hot.....just don't enjoy it.

I wonder if William has any ladybirds in the garden? :-)

It is nice to be a bit cooler today, although it is supposed to hot up again tomorrow isn't it? last night we were flabberghasted as the neighbours had lit a fire in a brazier on their patio with big sparks and smoke everywhere. We had to shut all the windows and as if it wasn't already hot enough!!

Lots of interesting envelopes have been arriving in the post!!O :-D OH keeps hiding them from me till Friday!! :-) :-D

Poor old Frank not being able to post, but he should see us :-D HI FRANK~~~~~~~ here is a little wave to you.Hope you are keeping out of mischief .

Fiona how far away was your little mouse !!!!!.I watch a vole here just out on the `patio everyday picking up the little bits of fat the birds drop out from the coconut.I would have loved to see you run like that lol Did you shriek too??
What a shame your MIL was so grumpy. It can spoil a visit.Hopefully she will be sorted soon and then feel a lot happier. My Sister's MIL is a right old Bossy Boots and is always saying things should be done like this or like that.Janice just tries her best to ignore it lol and grits her teeth.

Not a bit of sun at all here today,so a real let down :-|.I did manage to pick more veg for tonight.I think I have just about finished of one row of peas.
Mel I don't think we has any Radish this year.Which is a pity as last year they were great.A lot of Broad Bean pods have not produced anything. They have the beginning of beans but they look slightly black as though they have died before starting to grow.
Was it you Frank who said you had the same with empty Pods?

Chris is mowing ,and trying to get around the washing line .He likes to take it down but it's full of washing !! :-D

I have been trying to compose a letter to My Aunty(who has just lost her Hubby).I wont be going to the funeral as it is so far to drive .I haven't said yet that I won't be there. But I'm trying to think of all the childhood memories I have of Uncle David.I am writing it from both myself and Janice.Oh what a job

:-S

Afternoon All

Another hot day, started cloudy but still warm, met friends for coffee then did a bit of shopping. had lunch in the garden and now the sun is out , will need to put up the brolly,

MIL going home tomorrow, :-D :-D nice to see her for a visit but also nice to see her go home, she has been very grumpy :-| :-| this visit probably due to waiting for her operation appointment, has tutted at most things that have not gone totally right, and thinks it's about time Victoria stopped breast feeding and get Matteo on a bottle, Sofia should be inside by 7.00pm and in bed by 8, it is summer and the light nights make it even more difficult to get kids to bed, Sofia has never been to bed at 8 it's lucky if she is in bed by half nine, but try explaining that she is not our daughter and her parents have the last say, just wish this operation was over and MIL was feeling more comfortable, hopefully it won't be long now.

Well the sun is fully out now so I am off for a sit under the brolly and a cold drink. OH doing a lot of digging in the garden and is covered in midge bites, , I will get some photo's a soon as I can, AHHHHHHHHHH :-0 :-0 Mel and Jane will laugh at this with them living in the country but I saw a mouse running up the a rhubarb stalk yesterday, I was off the chair in into the house a quick as you could say Jack Robinson, :-D :-D

Just picked a bunch of radish and a load of salad leaves. I hav'nt picked my ripe tomato yet and one of my two cue plants has had it and wilted. I think I must have damaged the stem by soil level as it looks a bit brown there so I have piled a load more compost over it hoping it may root from the stem into the new soil. That plant was doing better than the other one and had little cues coming on it.

Had this from our Frank and another email saying how he has been in touch with GR. This came second!!!

Hi all, I am on something I have never seen before. Just trying to find a way of posting

That is all it said..................................................................

I went off shopping early this morning. I must have met just about every car, coach, lorry and tractor that was on the road the same time as little me. To crown it all they have resurfaced a long stretch of road and put those grey big chippings on it and there is 15 mile an hours signs up which nobody is taking any notice of so there was grit and gravel flying everywhere. I kept my distance, I can tell you but the cars coming the other way were going too fast too and showering my car up one side.

Just a thought Frank if you are looking in........Have you got the word Post at the end of our posting at all???????? Only they now have in the left hand bottom corner a little triangle of dots. If you click on this with your finger held down on the left side of your mouse you can make to box to write in as BIG or as small as you want. In fact you can close it up altogether so there is no box there. I did it by mistake a week or so ago and wondered where the box had gone then.

Has been wall to wall sunshine here all day from half past 7 when I got up.

Bought us a 4.50 tog quilt today in Morr*sons, only £6 marked down from £7.
