Did'nt get round to the beans but they will still be there tomorrow, I hope!!!!!!!!! Also more toms. Sold some beens and eggs out on the table today too so had to put more out.

Had sweet and sour pork with our beans and rice tonight.

Have SIL coming down with hubby and two daughters at the end of August. They are going to stay at Umberleigh but are spending two nights in the caravan.

Nothing planned for the weekend here just the usual.

It's me again,
Have a great weekend Jane, and BEHAVE YOURSELF. I know what you are like in strange places. !!! Poor old Chris. left with enough room for socks and pants. ;-) ;-

I looked at my lawns this morning and thought. You might be O.K. till after the weekend, but there again you could do with a trim. (I talk to my lawns) So out came the lawn shears, and did all round both lawns, then mowed, only got two boxes of cuttings off the back, and half a box of the front. But my don't they look good. The neighbours hasn't been touched since I did the front when they were away, and mines been done THREE TIMES since then. His back lawn looks just as bad.

Just come in for a cold drink. then I will have to put in some plants, that just seemed to appear from nowhere. All placed on the boarder where she wants them to go. No peace for the wicked. :-D :-D :-D

Fiona, many years ago my son bought me a shredder, I thought when am I going to use that. I always burnt my papers in the wheelbarrow. But now it gets used on a regular basis. Wouldn't be without it.

Bright sunshine with some dark horrible clouds looming over head. So might sit out with my book for a while.

See you later.

Fiona

Fiona Report 9 Aug 2013 12:35

Afternoon All,

Hope you have a nice time Jane, Better have too much of the right things than wanting something you have forgotten :-D :-D

Been to buy a paper shredder , got a good one out of Ar**s, that will do the job, I have decided after waiting 2 years, it is time to tackle all my dads papers, like care home bills which I think will go. Gas & Elec Bills, no need for them any more, will keep all the house deeds etc , as I own dads house now , you never know when they may be needed.
Recycle bin will be pretty full by the time I'm finished, :-)

weather does not know what to do with it self, one minute it's cloudy , the next the sun is out, but that wind is back again not very nice for sitting out.

Mel lovely border :-D :-D

Morning/Evening All
Well I am packed .I can just imagine Chris's face when he sees how much is in the case for me for just 2 nights :-D :-D.I HAVE left enough space for his few bits lol
I have sneaked 3 pairs of footwear in the top bit of the case(you can't see them ;-)

We will be off about 3ish I think as he won't be in from work until 1.I need to go and buy some nailvarnish remover pads and then I will be able to take off this chipped lot and redo them.

My wasp sting or Bee Sting ( didn't actually see it) is giving me gyp now,It was fine all night but has suddenly started to look red and angry and the skin around it all is all puffed up to the size of an eye patch :-S
Must press on.I will pop back just before we go.

Morning everyone,

David, I don't think we every get to old to learn. That's what life is all about. Learn something new every day.

Everybody out shopping ?? or still lazing around in their dressing gowns.

I haven't showered yet, just sitting around in my u/pants. Ros is in her n/dress ironing, she wants to get it out of the way as she won't be around much over the weekend.

We had a few spots of rain this morning. It's very overcast and muggy. I bet the Canal organisers, want the weather to be fine SAT/SUN. I think last year they had somewhere near 20,000 people there over the two days.

I will try to get down there for an hour, I might be better with my SHOOTING STICK. then I can plonk my bum down it I get tires. Must be careful near the water ;-) ;-). Don't need a swim !!!

What are you all up to this weekend ?? Any nice plans.

I'm not a clever boy Mel, God knows I'm an old fool.

Fancy waiting until I was 67 to jump over a wall.

The nearest I was to Stratford was Warwick, must have been 40 years ago.

The GR pages are very slow and keep freezing, what's up.

Took a short walk on elbow crutches about 5pm
Walked to the corner of the street, around the side of the bungalow, then turned around and retraced my steps.

Hard work but thank GOD I can walk

Mandy I meant to say I saw those gorilla's on the news. They are really great colours. Can the children sit on them to have their photo taken?

Jane I think oh is having a little sleep too. I brought pasties home for lunch and I think they gave him indigestion as I saw he took one of his super duper pills with a mug of milk.

Been up the border for the last hour and a half. Did'nt get much done but tidied the first bit a bit. I have bindweed in that part badly. I just don't seem to get on top of it. I go round and paint it with roundup and still it comes back all up my plants and you just can't pull it off or it will denude the plant.

Sausages for dinner with rice for oh and new puds for me and short beans out the tunnel.

Evening all,

My poor feet ,i have been to Norwich today shopping with DIL and the three girls ,Jake stayed at home with dad .
We had Lacey's feet measured in the Cl*rks shoe shop and i bought her her first pair of shoes ,little pink ones with a bow on ,they also take a photo of her wearing her shoes too.
I bought a new bag ,half price in BHS and the children all had drinking cups from the Disn*y shop ,by the time i bought lunch the best part of seventy pounds had gone !!! :-S

The little ones were looking for all the 53 Go Go Gorillas and 67 baby gorillas that are on show at different locations around the city, DIL took photo's of twelve of the big ones and four of the smaller ones ,they are painted in lovely bright colours .

We were only saying the other day we haven't seen many wasps about this year, i hope your arm isn't too painful Jane as your going away , such a pinch when you trap them like that .

Hubby is taking a week off next week so we hope to go out with the family some days ,fingers crossed for a dry week.

Ann,i meant to say what beautiful photo's you took in the garden ,i think the last ones a sure winner :-D

LOL David.I hope you manage to get puss to the vets :-D.It must be done.
Well I might be talking a load of gibberish now as Chris ,Me and Fitz have been sat outside since midday eating nibbles and drinking wine.Bit too much wine ;-).I got stung by a darned wasp right on the inside of my arm :-S That is just the second one I have seen this year.I think I have got a bit of sunburn too.
Chris has gone for a little sleep !
We leave tomorrow afternoon to go to Stratford.Chris is working in the morning ,so I reckon it will be about 2pm when we set off.I think I will be sorting out clothes in the morning .Just can't think about that now lol

David made me laugh too Frank.

Been to get the chickens food and took back a t shirt I bought for oh that was too small. Gave me a £12 credit note and then I walked around the shop and found two more sleeveless vest type tops for myself, 2 for £5 and then saw a vax carpet shampooer marked down from £85 to £65 so I bought that too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Been looking for one as my carpets could do with a wash. I did have an old Vax that I used to do them with but the trigger for the water broke so I could only suck up with it until oh used it and did'nt put the bucket bit in it and it stopped working.

Had this from Liz and don't know whether you all got it or not so here it is.

Hi Mel,
Back again! Just to let you know that we are all fine and dandy! The hot weather didn't affect us TOO much as both of us like the heat and cope pretty well with it, however Millie did struggle a bit, so we wrapped her in cold towels and made sure that she stayed well in the shade; luckily we have a large syringa bush that she was able to get under, so she spent a lot of time in her 'house'! Merlin has his big airy open barn, so he was ok - flies a bit of a pest, but copious spraying of citronella seemed to do the trick. Much cooler here now, quite cloudy but at least the wind has dropped!
Next week we are taking Merlin to a show! the first one since we've been here - we have to be in the ring by 930, so will be an early start. There is a dog show too, so I may enter Stella - Millie's too old now and with Stella here, too cross!!
L and family are staying at a Country House Nr Poitiers! S.I.L and Edward brought Stella over last week (girls were packing!!) and he seemed so excited that they were going on holiday - 'at last' as he put it. Although I say it myself (prejudice!) he is a dear little boy and so affectionate, with masses of charm(!!);(apparently I'm his friend and he is my friend) also he thanked me for his birthday (6) present too without being prompted!! so nice manners as well!
Well, I'm back to the garden, with my Kindle, as the sun has poked it's head out!
Liz
