She has made an appointment to see the doctor next Monday to have a general blood test. hopefully they will keep an eye on her energy levels . Daniele has a wii and last night he weighed Matteo and he is 20lbs :-0 :-0 or 9.1 kg. :-0 that boy will burst :-D :-D

Hi everyone and a Happy Fourth of July to anyone in America. Sorry I haven't been on lately but things have been a bit stressful here. I did try once or twice early mornings but got the dreaded ERROR message and was too stressed to bother paging down.
Carmel hasn't been at all well these last days, her headaches have been driving her demented and it also affects her eyes. Her consultant has agreed for her to have another MRI scan so we are waiting on that. He has also suggested another similar procedure and consulting our GP (we spend a lot of time at our doctors!) he said to go for it. But as I write we have no idea when that will be but no doubt the scan will have to come first.
I hate writing all this, it's so depressing for you all when you should be hearing good things. But talking of depression, it's another thing that has affected Carmel. She keeps thinking of her late son Jimmy who died earlier this year. That then leads on to her thinking about her eldest son who passed away some 14 years ago. It all gets compounded when we read on Facebook that our youngest niece in Skegness (Olivia's Mummy) has just had her birthday and of course misses her Dad. So I've had to keep an extra special eye on Carmel and spend more time with her. There's not much else I can do.
The good news is that her toe has completely healed (apart from the scab dropping off) and she has been discharged from the clinic. That's probably been one of the easier things in her life lately.
I still photograph the skies when there is a good one so I'll send some of them out sometime, although you are all probably sick to death of them by now LOL. We haven't really been anywhere to send anything else and the weather hasn't been much help. We keep have to have bursts with the heating on - my big top coat keeps getting taken out of retirement and MUM, I've still got my vest on (and I make sure it's clean in case I have to go to hospital :-D )
I seem to have made to get all my planters done now so at least there is some colour in the garden. The weeds and other overgrown stuff, front and back, keep me going like a Forth Bridge job. I just can't seem to get on top of it.
A little break in things was when Baby Grace was here last week. Her Mum is a hairdresser and agreed to do Carmel's hair for her. Me, I got on the floor and played with Grace, she is absolutely delightful and so very good. There is a problem with her legs and I'm not sure if she will be able to walk properly and if so we think it will take some time. It doesn't bother her as such and she can crawl round the place faster than I can keep up with her. How come babies don't shin their knees?
I don't think I'll be able to catch up on all the posts I've missed but I'll start back tracking now. Hope the rest of you have all been OK.

By eck, tiss warm now. lass, I went from jeans to trunks then into shorts. Now very sticky. I see we could get up to 31 degrees on Monday.
Poor old Conrad, he comes home tomorrow for a week. He thought he was coming home to cool down. :-0 :-0 It's his birthday on Tuesday 44. I am taking the four of out to the Chinese in Kettering The one on Horse Market Jane. That doesn't mean I couldn't manage lunch on Saturday at the Pheasant. lol lol Haven't been there in nearly 40 years. :-D :-D :-D
Yes both Semi's were good, but so glad to see Lisicki get through. She play so well, and after being 1 set down and three love in the 2nd she came back well
I bet all you girls have been in your summer tops today.
Ros said it was nice and cool up the scout hut. She only realised how hot is was when she got home about 4.30 pm..
I ended up doing a wok of Mince with carrot and onion, with Jersey Royals, and Spring cabbage.
I closed the conservatory door earlier, now I will have to go and open it again.

Ann ,I think the cinema would be a perfect place to get away from all the pollen :-D I hope the film was good. What an exciting match for the last Ladies Semi Finals.I am so glad Lisiski (sp) won.I was doing the edge of the seat thing again lol. Both ladies played brilliantly ,and it's a shame one had to lose. We are going out for lunch on saturday to(The Pheasant).James will be coming too .Just a shame Hannah won't be here. But I want to go really early so I can get home to see the Wimbledon Finals. I remember watching Wimbledon with Mum and Dad .The games then, now seem so slow ,but still very exciting when it came to the finals. How things have changed.I seem to say that a lot these days :-S...and I'm still a youngster (FRANK) :-P
What a lovely evening. The sky is blue and there is a gentle breeze :-D

ee 'eck it's so hot now.I have been here and there this morning.I found some really lovely curtains, but they only had 1 pair in the size I needed.Luckily the woman rang through to the Wellingborough branch (Dune**) and they had 1 pair left, plus tie backs. So I shot off there. What a bargain .2 pairs for £80 instead of £160 :-S :-S :-S I have to have 2 lots as the window is large bay and with ready made 1 pair is just not big enough .So it's 2 curtains each side. Then I went to the Renau** Garage to sort out have a back cover replaced on the wing mirror. That will be done on Monday. So I'm all hot and sticky now. It's time to put those shorts and strappy top on.
Frank my birthday is on Saturday so I haven't had any presses yet lol.
Chris is cutting the lawn and I can hear him sneezing ! Those button flies are quite common on some jeans I think .A fiddly performance .Chris doesn't like them at all The worst person I know for 'flying low' is Fitz.He always forgets to zip up :-S
I'll pop back when this last ladies semi has finished.....Just seen emails come through from Ruby so have a look :-D

Oh no Ann can't go around flying half mast.!!! It would be alright if I could use my left hand, but my right after the stroke can't cope with fiddle things like buttons. and I can't see Ros doing them for me. ANY OFFERS ???
My Matteo is getting a big boy. It must be his mothers milk !!! My ex had milk fever so was unable to feed either of mine. But by the size of them the last time I saw them, they didn't go short. Simon is about 6' 4" and Sarah was very large, !!
When my first nieces and nephews were born,(1940s) if they started crying ,my Mum would make a "butter and sugar teat" A piece of clean muslin , with a blob of butter sprinkled with sugar. tied up and pined to the babies jacket. They would suck on that, and soon drop of to sleep. I use to do it for my two when they were babies, and it did work. Much better than a dummy <3 <3
Just been looking to see if you can use Radish leaves as a veg. can't seem to find anything that makes sense.. Any ideas ???
I'm going to get a bit of Wimbledon, before madam gets home, I can sit in the conservatory in the sunshine, and have a doze if I want too.

Afternoon All,
Oh Frank, you can't go around with your flies open!! lol :-0 It's bad enough when it happens accidentally so I hope the ladies can sort you out with a zip. It must have been tricky with arthritis etc before zips were used in trousers. I had to pull all my radishes when we came back from our hols as they'd all bolted. We have had 1 lot of our spuds and they weren't very tasty like they have been before, but I can't remember the variety I planted now!! :-S
I was going to get on with loads of jobs today, but feel lethargic with this high pollen count and sniffles. OH has said he wants to go to see Man of Steel at the local cinema, so that's what we are doing now!!! :-D I didn't need any persuading!! lol
I hope your daughter soon feels better Fiona, you can feel quite run down for a while with these things. If little Matteo is ok with the bottle it will conserve some of her energy like you say.
Better go and get changed now......the cinema can be chilly!! BBL.

Morning All, Evening Kim.
Hi Everybody, I have a morning off today from my Nursing, Babysitting & Chef duties. Will be back to work at 1.30 after lunch :-D :-D :-D
Yes Victoria has been quite poorly with this virus that she got while on holiday, and OH & I took her up to the hospital on Tuesday evening to see the doctor, he said it was a mixture of flu & a bug she must have caught on the plane, also the different drop in temperature, they had in Italy, roasting the first week and a big drop in feeling cold the second week, it seems Victoria & the kids went to see the dr while they were in Italy cos Matteo had a temp and was given antibiotics, he is fine now, Anyway Victoria had hot and cold flushes but no high temp which was a bit confusing, and felt weak , could hardly stand at times and feeling sick in her stomach, she has been drinking plenty of fluids and is eating better now, so is coping a lot better now, dr said it is advisable to go and have a blood test as he say's she is very run down, She has decided to wean Matteo of the breast (he is 7 months now and on solid food) and get him on the bottle, he also drinks out of a trainer (sippy) cup, so she is going to try milk in that too, probably with him breast feeding is taking all the energy from Victoria he is 16lbs 5oz , what a weight it's like carrying a big bag of potatoes around, :-0 :-| :-D, I think she needs some extra Iron, and when she hopes to go back to work , Daniele will have the kids himself at the week ends, so I think it would be the right time to get Matteo on to the bottle, and let Victoria build herself up.
I am off to get a cup of coffee and a couple of Paracetamol's , have a runny nose think I have got OH cold he brought back from France the other week, WHAT A FAMILY WE ARE :-| :-| :-| :-)

Morning all/Evening Kim,
HOME ALONE. Ros went off to her "STITCHERY DO" at 9.15 should be home about 4.00
59 !! I didn't think you looked a day over 65 when I saw you. Did you marry a younger man :-D :-D :-D <3 <3 <3 What have you had for pressies ???
I went down to my Veg. patch yesterday, and the radish's have bolted. The leaves are massive, but when I pull one up, there's nothing on the root. I will pull them all up, to give some light to the spring onions, beetroot and carrots. Cabbage and Cauliflower's are going like mad, and potato's have flowers on, so won't be long before I can pull a root, and see what I have got. :-0 :-0
The day seems to be brightening up a bit, still a lot of cloud and a strong breeze. Not the sort of day for sitting out in my shorts. ;-) ;-)
Can't bring myself to think about what to get for dinner tonight. I might leave it to Ros to make Pasta or something quick.
Ros bought me a new pair of "CHINO'S" yesterday. They have button fly's which is unusual these days. The trouble is, I have to use my fingers on my right hand, and I can't do them up. I can't walk around with them open,!! and I can't ask Ros to undo and do them up every time I want the loo. <3 <3 ;-) ;-) She has taken them with her today to see if one of the women can fit a zip. They are a plumb colour, which she says look good on my. (HOW WOULD I KNOW) they could be shy blue pink for all I know. OH what trust I have in that WOMAN :-D :-D

Morning Mel and All .Evening Kim
Haven't stepped outside yet but it looks fairly bright and a little breezy.I'm just looking at the lawn and there seems to have been an explosion of Daisies.I could make a million daisy chains :-D :-D Not sure what I'm doing today ,bit more cleaning is on the cards, and then I think I'm going to see if I can find some Curtains to go in Hannahs/spare room. The ones hanging there now are awful and all the string that the hooks go through is all stretched so it's all droopy up by the rail.
There is The Green Woodpecker having a lovely meal from in between some paving slabs. It's been feasting for ages :-D

Nice to have an update from our David. Good luck for Tuesday next. You will be so glad to get rid of that horrid thing once and for all, when it happens.
Well I have tried the Normandy pork today but it has only just finished cooking so we had chicken curry tonight. I made a big mistake though. I halved the recipe and forgot to halve the veg!! or the juicey stuff. It looks and smells ok and oh said has he got to eat one dinner and smell the other one cooking. I said yes :-|
We shall have it tomorrow. I shall add the other bits then like Jane does.
Had some nice pics from Ruby and have passed her some of your email addresses as she said she only had a couple.
I do hope William and Carmel are ok as we hav'nt heard anything from him for ages now and it's not like him.
Maureen I am pleased Finley is ok after his nasty bump in the forhead. Children do seem to cope well with things like that after the event when other things occupy their little minds.
Ann I think that is awful about the hospital not having anyone there that can answer questions. I think they should get their act together at that place and I am sure you should complain about this.

Evening all,
I watched Murray this afternoon, if anyone saw it I think you will agree the Spanish lad played out of his brain, At one time I thought Murray was going out. On of the best matches I have seen (I haven't watched many).
Nice evening now, sun's beaming through the conservatory windows. I thought we were going to get rain today. When will they get the forecast right.??
Jane, When ever they take any brickwork down, you will always get dust. I thought after all the troubles last year, you would have learnt your lesson :-( :-(
Nice to see you posting David. Good luck for next week. Will be thinking of you.
Ann, That's a bit of a cock up, at the hospital isn't it. And no one there to give your OH the answer. I think I would be asking QUESTIONS !!
What's all the cards for then Jane. ?? Is it your anniversary. How many years is it ??
Off now to get a cold beer and watch the Blind Dogs (NO THEY AREN'T BLIND) it's their owners :-D :-D

Afternoon All,
Well, that's the worst bit done then Jane. :-) It is amazing where all the dust and grit manages to reach, but often the workmen don't shut doors behind them as they tramp in and out and that doesn't help. I imagine it's the plasterboard and skimming to be done next then, or have they done that today? It's a pity you couldn't have covered your curtains with old sheets to protect them......I have done that sometimes to save taking them down when I'm decorating. Just tucked a sheet over the top of them and the rail and wrapped the sheet around the column that hangs.....you can safety pin it as well to be more secure. :-)
Maureen that sounds a good idea to do a loft conversion. Will they all want to have a room in the loft? We stayed in a huge loft room at a place called Foey in Cornwall once. There was a kitchen and bathroom downstairs next to a double garage with this huge loft over the lot. It had some of those Ve*ux windows in the roof and it was fabulous lying there at night in the dark looking up at the stars.
When OH went to see his doc recently he asked if he should have a bone scan for osteoporosis as he has been on tablets for acid reflux for years now and there have been some reports saying they may affect absorbtion and lead to osteoporosis. His doc agreed it would be useful and said he would arrange it. This morning his doc rang to say that the hospital say he 'd already had a bone scan in December 2011!! His doc couldn't find it on his records and we are certain he didn't. OH still has his 2011 diary and there's no record of any appointment there either. When his doc rang the hospital about it and rang OH back he said that they said the clinic co-ordinator he needed to speak to won't be there again till next Monday!! Good job it wasn't urgent isn't it and poor that no-one else could deal with it before next Monday.......another delay!! :-S On a positive note, he says his foot has been good today. :-)
My throat's been quite sore one side today, but I think it is because of hayfever as it is the side that was tickling the most. I haven't been given any kisses today......just in case it's not hay fever!!! lol. ;-)
