Morning All, Evening Kim

OH made it home about 2 am this morning, He told me this morning when I came down stairs he had eaten on the plane, but said he was desperate for a proper cup of tea.
I was asleep but woke up when he came through the garden gate it squeaks, , I won't let OH fix it as it's a good safety alarm for me when I am alone. anyway it didn't take me long (thankfully) to go back to sleep after a trip to the bathroom, Was a very warm night ended up throwing the quilt off and sleeping under the top sheet, good job Oh is sleeping in the back bedroom at the moment while I am having problems with my head, other wise I would keep disturbing him when I have a restless night. :-)

Warm here but very cloudy but when the sun does come out it's hot. another washing line full of clothes :-D :-D

Felling a bit low this morning , it was great to get a phone call from Victoria and get a chat with Sofia, they are all busy getting sorted out for this Sunday when Matteo is being christened, seems there will be about 60 folk there, Daniele's mum has invited all the Italian relatives near and far and even friends of Daniele too, Victoria says Adele is paying for all this so it's up to her what happens,
For a babies Baptisimo as they call it in Italy, they have favours , little pink or blue bags full of sugar almonds, Adele has kindly ordered some favours for Victoria to bring home for me, Katherine and OH mum, which is really nice something to let us know that they were thinking of us here in Scotland while we couldn't make it to Italy. :-D :-D
Missing Sofia & Matteo , missing my (((hugs))) :-(

LOL Frank,it seems everyone is a bit short tempered. It must be the weather.I went to Tes** earlier and there were a lot of grumbling exasperated husbands.
We have a towel rail like your curtain rail but this keeps falling out of the wall (with plaster).Chris did get some bigger plugs and fixed it back but it is now coming off again :-D :-D...Now just you be careful and only go up the steps when you have calmed down ;-)

Mel what are Squabs please?

James and Jess are still here. They aren't going until about 6 now :-S. :-S

Morning all/Evening Kim.

WOW It's like a Turkish bath this morning, not a breath of air anywhere. All doors and windows wide open.. Doesn't look like rain here, just overcast and muggy..

I layed in bed this morning and noticed the curtain pole is lop sided. When I mentioned it to MADAM. she said it's been like it for months. So then it kicked off.. Why didn't you tell me. ?? Why don't you open your eyes, and see these things. So now I am going to get the steps and try to fix it. The screws that hold the pole bracket have pulled out, together with a chunk of plaster. SO I HAVE A JOB ON MY HANDS. Just hope I don't fall off the steps.

I thought Ann went Last Friday week, but wasn't sure if it was for a week or two.

I bet Pat is on her way now. Hope she has a nice break from family worries. !!

HEY HO it's off to work we go. Will let you know visiting times at the hospital :-D :-D :-D

We had two squabs in a nest of sticks in the box hedge but I could'nt see them yesterday. They may have left the nest by now as they leave quite early. We still have the baby Great tits in one box but the Bluetits have fledged.

Chris has gone t oWait**** Mel so I haven't had chance to see what mood he is in this morning lol.
Ann went away last Friday.I hope they have had a good time and that feet aren't still painful !.

I need to feed the birds now and refresh the birdbath. It's really mucky as the wood pidgeons seem to like using it as their toilet :-S :-S

Morning All and Evening Kim,

Cloudy and grey here this morning and we have ahad a little rain in the night.

I did'nt cook last night as oh got in about 10 to 10pm. We had fried egg sarnies instead. I had a touch of indigestion but put it down to being hungry.

Nothing planned for today so will just take it as it comes. Might clean the chickens out or just muddle around inthe garden or do some more ironing. I did a load of it yesterday as it came off the line. Must clean the bathroom too.

Hope Fiona's hubby got home safely and did'nt wake her up.

Jane lets hope Chris is in a better mood today. :-)

I can't remember which day Ann and Gordon left!! they should be home soon.

Hope Pat's having a nice time away too and getting nice weather.

Hi all,

Just popped in, as I am going to shut up the patio door. Still in shorts, and bare chested.

Think it might be another shower this evening, It's as sticky as hell, both inside and out

Your poor OH Fiona after a days work, then having to wait another two hours to get a flight. Will he be hungry when he gets home or will he eat before he leaves ??

Jane I realise this will be a one off for James and Jess. I as sure they will appreciate what you and Chris are doing. I know Ros and I were so grateful to Conrad and Jan, for all they have done for us since my STROKE and all that's gone on since.

Poor old GRUMPY PANTS. What have you done to upset him ??

Mel, What time will you be eating tonight then ?

Off to get a cold beer, and watch a bit of Tele.

see you in the morning.

Jane

Jane Report 19 Jun 2013 21:30

Fiona ,I hope his flight isn't delayed any longer than the 2 hours.Poor man will be on his knees by the time he gets in.

Mel I think he just had a bad day, plus the humid weather. But I'm not asking lol.He is just in that frame of mind to be a pain in the bum :-S
I'm taking myself off to bed now to read my latest `kindle* book.I have a bit of a headache which I'm sure is down to the weather.
See you all tomorrow .Night Night xx

Fiona

Fiona Report 19 Jun 2013 21:06

I'm going for a bath and to read my book for an hour so by then it will be bed time.

Night night . :-D :-D

Jane Report 19 Jun 2013 20:11

Ooh Fiona ,will this mean you have to stay up ,or will you be able to go to bed?
Poor OH having to hang about in the airport :-S
If it was Chris getting in at that time I would be well in the land of nod lol .In the early days we would have sat up and waited for whoever was coming home late but as the years passed it was bed as normal :-D,and a little grunt when whoever crept into bed.

Talking of OH's I have Mr Grumpy pants tonight :-S.I just told him to go away and be grumpy on his own lol. Can't be doing with that tonight .

Fiona

Fiona Report 19 Jun 2013 19:37

Where is my Halo ?? I know it's somewhere around ;-).Ah well Frank like I said this is a one off for James and Jess.We won't be forking out again for any hols.

Frank

Frank Report 19 Jun 2013 19:01

You are a little saint Jane take FIVE HOUSE POINTS. I can understand Jess liking to stay at yours. You come over as so laid back, you are likely to fall over :-D :-D :-D If you need anybody to adopt I'm available. Greek Islands, I would be glad of a Greek Yogurt <3 <3 <3

Mel, Is there any little fish in the pond ?? if so look out for the snake, we lost some of ours at Gayton. and we had snakes there.

My it has been close this afternoon. I even went into the shade of the OLD CHERRY TREE (OAK) as the song goes. I laid on my lounger reading, and listened to the baby Jackdaws. There are loads of them. Squawking away, it stopped me having forty winks.. :-( :-( :-(

All the doors and windows are open, trying to get a breeze through.

The Silly neighbour, who has been sitting around all day, has decided to mow his front lawn. Typical just as we are going to settle down for the evening.

Jane

Jane Report 19 Jun 2013 17:43

Gosh it is so close and muggy..I feel thunder is looming. My floors took ages to dry even with every window ,door open. There is just no through breeze.I have just stripped back the duvet on our bed and put a sheet for tonight.Chris will probably grumble but that's tough .I am NOT having a Duvet on ....so there :-P

We have Pinwheels tonight and Saute Potatoes. But they are not Lamb wheels.Chris got them thinking it was Lamb, but it's pork.Jess will be disappointed as she loves the Lamb ones.Never mind ,it can't be helped.Just one of those things.
I am looking forward to having the house to ourselves for a few days :-D :-D.Hopefully by tomorrow evening.James doesn't like staying too long at Jess's (her Mum can be a bit of a Drama Queen /High Maintenance )Jess loves being here as it is so chilled with no arguements and nice meals :-D :-D.I do feel sorry for her really .

I think they are upstairs looking at holidays (Greek Island).Because of the luck we have had (windfall wise) we have said we will treat them.It won't happen again lol

On my third lot of waashing today and thats the bin empty. Two lots dry already.

Oh hovered the big pond out this morning and the muck was horredous and now after lunch it was all rising to the top and bunging the skimmer up. I love to watch it swallowing up all the gung but it is getting blocked up a lot and oh has to keep empting it. Then I was looking in the pond and saw another GRASS SNAKE in the big pond and then it went to the corner where the pipes from the filters go back in the pond and it climbed up the pipes and went out the back. Then a little while later the chickens started clucking their heads off and were all looking one way and suddenly they all clucked and jumped in the air. They had seen the snake and chickens do NOT like snakes. Oh looked over the fence and told me to get the camera but it was too late it had slithered away into the long grass.

So.... thats two in two days and there is sure to be another one now. Just as well they don't frighten me is'nt it? :-D

Jane

Jane Report 19 Jun 2013 14:57

Good emails Frank :-D :-D.Yes it is too muggy now to do much.I have just done the Kitchen and hall floors.Thats it now.I have my book and a nice cold drink .

Maureen I don't think I answered your question .Yes it is Venice in September and just the 2 of us :-D

Chill time now,at least while the floors dry.I hope they take ages lol

Just come in for a break from all this sunshine. Ros has been out the back doing one of the boarders, It got too hot for her, so she's packed up and dozing in the lounge.

I have prepared a chicken in the casserole, with onions, carrots, tomato's and celery. Fresh spring greens and mash.

Going back out for another helping of sunshine and my book. I might even doze off out there, but I can hear LAWN MOWERS.
