Now now Frank don't get your boxers in a twist! :-D

The winds got up here but the sun is still shining here and there as the clouds move across the sky.

Oh is on the front lawn doing his usual...........mowing.

I am just going up the tunnel to do a bit of watering. At last my runners are going up the canes nicely now and I have small toms on most of the plants. Still picking strawberries from my little meter square planter thing I bought last year. Some of the plants are already sending out runners so I need to get some pots ready to take them. I have sowed another row of peas straight in the ground as I think I have found the pack that does come up!!!! :-)

Must also plant out my purple podded peas to keep the seed going for another year. o well onward and upwards to the tunnel.

Just a thought I had this morning, remember bolsters on the bed. We never had them but my aunty Jean did on her childrens double beds. She had two girls and two boys.

Morning all/Evening Kim,

Don't boast about the sunshine Mel, <3 <3 <3 We only have clouds and wind, no sign of blue sky or the yellow thing. (WHAT DO YOU CALL IT ) ???

Here's a question for you all. WHY, when anything you are eating "GOES DOWN THW WRONG WAY" makes you cough, and then makes your nose run. It happened to me this morning, strange how it happens,

I expect Ann and Gordon are on their way by now, as she said an early start

.
Do you remember when, before the motorways and all these good roads. If you were going to Cornwall from where I lived. You would set of at midnight, to try to miss the traffic JAMS on Exeter.
Likes wise when I drove to Scotland. I left Kettering at 10.00 pm and arrived in Princess St. Edinburgh at 6.00 am without a stop. Then on up through Sterling to Fort William, that's were our holiday started, to tour the highlands.

No plans for today, my calf's still ache from the other night, and I had touches of cramp last night, even though I took Tonic Water and a tablet.

Fiona, I hope the family have a nice holiday in Italy, What will you do with yourself without the children ???

I missed the cat programme, we watch the operations from the hospital, in Cambridge. (Sorry can't think of the name) MY BRAIN HURTS :-D :-D

Shush, The sky is starting to brighten, so we might see a bit of blue sky later. The forcast isn't good for the next few days. Hey Ho.!!

Morning All, Evening Kim

Happy holiday Ann,

How time flies,
Victoria & family off to Italy tomorrow for their holidays, Victoria looking forward to a bit of a rest as Daniele mum loves to look after the kids while Victoria just relaxes, they are going to see a big difference in Matteo he was only a month old when Adele came over for Christmas, now he is a proper little boy actually I think he will be a bit clingy to Victoria as he is now at the age when he recognises there strangers around.

It's warmish here, but no sun trying to rain.

Morning All and Evening Kim,

Bit breezy here this morning with grey clouds in the sky,, again...........................

Nothing planned for today so will just take it as it comes.

Hope Ann and Gordon don't have too much trouble driving today and hope they have good weather for their time away. Safe journeys.........

I have just put some chicken mash on to cook , potato peeling etc but I poped the outer skin off a roast oniond in and it smells divine, oh will think I have made him some soup!! He is going to be disappointed................

Annx Report 13 Jun 2013 22:08

Just popping in swiftly to say we are OFF tomorrow.......OH says early!! :-S We have decided that I will drive at first on the motorway stretches and then OH will do the last stretch. That's the plan anyway. I still get pain at the bottom of my foot so between us we are doing well!! lol. OH had a better night last night and his foot hasn't been quite so bad today, but he's been resting it quite a lot. Jane, I'm not so sure it is a sprain OH has, whatever the doc says......like you I have had pain and swelling with a sprain before. We don't have a lot of faith in the doc he saw as he was the one who told OH he DEFINATELY didn't have a ganglion on his toe, when later another doc said he DID. :-S

It looks like another rainy start to the week so I have packed my beads and paints and we both have plenty of books!! :-)

Try not to worry Pat, my mum was like that.....always falling out and not answering the phone!!

Oh dear Shirl, hope things improve soon.

Just going to watch the cat programme I recorded and I'll be back before you know it, so tatty bye for now!!! :-) :-D ;-)

Frank Report 13 Jun 2013 20:09

Evening all my lovelies, and Will and David,

Sun is shining here now, and the wind has dropped off a bit. Weather forecast not good for the next few days. And they call this summer.

The plant in my photo. What is it ??? Shirl has asked and I don't know the answer. I said Mel is bound to know :-D :-D

The shouting SOAP is on. I'm getting that all these shouting matches don't agree with me, so I come out of the way

Poor old Chris. (Fiona see what I mean) I bet he was well cheesed off going for a walk and getting drenched.

A friend of mine in the village passed away yesterday at 5.00 am. He has been in and out of hospital for two years. He went in for a minor operation and caught that MRSA which ended up paralysing him from the neck down. He was discharged from hospital a couple of months ago, after his wife had the house converted for his needs, including a lift to the first floor. He also bought an adapted car from a firm who converted it for another person who died before taking delivery. It was controlled with movement from his hands. He had only had it a week or two when he was recalled to hospital.. He ended his days in hospital. The funeral is Friday week at 12 noon.

Jane that was an amazing photo of the woodpecker. You should sent it in to the Evening Telegraph to see if they will print it. They have a competition every week.

Not nice for you to have that happen in the shop .Did you leave a mess on the shop floor?? I hope you get the results soon. It;s been a while now hasn't it.
Your weather sounds a bit like ours....all over the place :-S
I wasn't close to the Woodpecker.I was in my lounge sat on the settee, and took it through the window, just zoomed in as far as I could.I am surprised how well it came out.
Must get on with food now and start feeding the starving .

Cheeky Beggar Frank ;-) but yes anything that is less work is good for me lol
Chris got drenched :-D :-D.Everything is hanging dripping in the garage now and jeans in the machine.
I have to take him to the station in the morning as he is having the day in London with Hannah. They are going to something called The Affordable Art Fair.Hannah wants to buy 'a bit of art 'and for her birthday all her friends gave her vouchers for this event. So hopefully she will find something she can afford .I think the prices range from £50-£500.I reckon she will have enough for something in the middle.

James and Jess have gone to get something for Fathers day.One week today it will just be the 2 of us again for a little while :-D :-D

Pat hopefully the weather will have warmed up nicely in time for your holiday next week.I'm really sorry that you are being ignored by your son.I know it would upset me terribly should something like that happen to me.My Nephew and Niece are like that at the moment. My niece wants nothing to do with her brother :-(.To be honest I feel they need their b***** heads banging together.Hopefully they will come to their senses. It's making my poor sister miserable. But she is staying well out of it.
My Mum and her Sister were a bit like that all through their lives. On and off ,on and off.I hated it.
Well it is time to get in the kitchen and get that apron on .I don't like wearing an apron but needs must .I can be a messy so and so :-S

Afternoon all,

Carolyn has just called in with some more of those CLIPS I sent on the Email.
They come from "GARDEN ESSENTIALS" They do loads of things. Just go on Google and you will see. They are 89 pence for a pack of 10 large and 10 small

My back garden is about 120 ft long by 30 ft wide. So we have a fair bit of space in the boarders for Ros's plants/shrubs/ and trees.

Jane that is going to be a big job. But I suppose AT YOUR AGE you need to make things easier for yourself <3 <3 <3

Did Chris get wet on his walk. We had a downpour earlier, but not really enough to soak the garden.

I have just seen that on the clip label. there is also an outlet Named B & M retail Ltd. That's where these came from in Northampton.

Jane

Jane Report 13 Jun 2013 15:44

Frank your garden is looking a picture :-D,,,and those edges !!!!!!! so neat.
Yes we are looking at having a Wood Burner to go in place of the open fire.Even though I love the fire it is so dirty.Someone is coming out next Tuesday to have a look and advice us what will suit .I think it will mean opening up the fireplace more,so a lot of mess :-S

Maureen ,my BIL looks after William on his own 3 days a week and then with my Sister for the 2 days she isn't working. My Nephew picks him up at the end of each day when he finishes work and takes him home, and then has William for the weekends. But Janice still often finds they have William for a night when Michel wants to go out.If things work out with this girlfriend I think they will move in together and eventually when the new baby arrives William will be with them and it will be happy families(not that I am cynical or anything ;-) ).Janice would like to be just Normal Grandparents again so they have their own life back.Saying that they adore William and my BIL is an absolute gem.He is wonderful.

Well we have just had a heavy shower. It is windy but not like I was expecting.Or is it going to get worse???

Mel I had a look at Spring Watch baby woodpecker nest :-D :-D.Thanks so much for pointing out the difference between them.We definitely have the Mum and Dad and at least one young one.

Oh my word the rain now.It is like someone has turned out the lights......and Chris is out on one of his long walks !!!!!!!!!!!!.Silly Billy.....I told him he would get wet. :-S :-S

Just had a l ook at All my pics of woodpeckers Mel and now I realise that it is just the parents and no babies lol. They must still be in the nest .Wish I new where it is.

That's a brilliant photo of the woodpecker Jane.

Reading about that poor pregnant woman Ann you would have thought she was in a third world country hospital. How on earth could something like that happen. Makes you scared to go to hospital.

It is a very slow process but you are going in the right direction David, good to see you posting.

Who is looking after baby William full time Jane, it will be lovely for him to have a little brother.

I was going in the garden then it started raining, I think you might be right Jane, Saturday looks the better day, but who knows with this weather. I have loads of things to get on with indoors but will probably end up messing about on the computer for the rest of the day.

Fiona

Fiona Report 13 Jun 2013 11:32

I got an e-mail to from David, wasn't sure what to do, so OH says delete it if your not happy, I apologise to David if it was genuine , what with that one that was suppose to come from Ann(e) , you can't be to careful these days.

Frank

Frank Report 13 Jun 2013 11:28

Yes Mel, have had an Email from David, but can't open it. Do I need to put it into Google to open it ?

Jane are you thinking of having a wood burning in the lounge ??

Pat, I really do know how you feel. I have not had contact with my daughter, grandchildren or gt grandson, and I doubt I ever will. As for my son he decided to cut me off FOUR years ago next month .I have no SENIOR advice to offer, other than, try not to let it get you down
<3 <3 <3 Thinking of you. <3 <3 <3

Black as your hat here, and raining, the wind has dropped slightly, But I think it's the lull before the storm Cheerful old Bugg## aren't I.

Morning Frank, Jane, Mel . Pat & All, Evening Kim.

((( Hugs Mel)) not an easy day, think of happy memories.

Sun is trying to get out but we have too many clouds, very windy, Neighbours blossom tree is all over the road now with the wind.

Easy morning, caught up with ironing, and going for a shower,

Victoria is coming down to collect me about 1.30 after she puts Sofia into nursery , as she has a eyebrow app at 2 so needs to feed Matteo, then when she goes to her appointment I will walk around the shops with Matteo in his buggy, hopefully he will be asleep and won't realise mum has gone :-S

we have a man climbing on our roof at the moment fixing the ridge tiles, he was on next door's roof when he looked at ours and decided to ask to fix ours.
wanted to do the job for £120 OH said no way, so they agreed on £70 for the job, OH knew they needed doing but with all the other gardening jobs to do , the tiles were low down on his list, I am happy that OH doesn't need to go climbing up on the roof now anyway.
