Afternoon everyone, Evening Kim,

The sun is trying to peep through , it does seem warmer though even with out the sun .

Well Jane will be there by now i expect , i wonder if they will go on a punt , i seem to remember last time Jane fell into the punt :-S :-)

We're still having trouble with the phone line ,i rang s*y last night and the lady tested every thing and said it was not the outside line ,the trouble was in the property so..i had to pull plugs out ..put plugs in all this testing went on and she thinks its the little connector that the phone and internet plug into as when the phone is plugged in the main box we have a dialing tone ,so she's sending a new one in the post ,should take 3-5 working days !!
So this morning i toddle off to Te*co's to buy one as son says they sell them ....bought one, tried it .......nothing no dialing tone at all now !!!
I suppose will have to wait to see if the one they are sending is any different , the lady is ringing again on thursday to see if the problem has been solved with the new part !! well it hasn't with the new one i bought !!!!!

Seems strange as i have the internet ,but when the phone did work if i had the internet on it would not work and i had to turn lap top off and restart it !!

Even went out and bought new phones !! cheesed off here i can tell you !! :-S :-S

Sorry Fiona. The old part was not meant as it seemed. We use to say old someone, when we referring to someone you could rely on. :-D :-D I know you are still a mere child !!! lol lol

Been round the "estate" everywhere looks good, the peas are standing up well, I have moved the clips up the tomato plants. They are a great bit of kit. I will have to see if I have a Makers name on them. Very useful items, saves having to tie everything up with string. I have looked, and there is no makers name, so I have taken a photo, and will sent it on."They are available at all good garden centres" as they say on the Tele Adverts. lol lol

I could feel rain in the air as I went down the garden :-( :-( :-(

Frank I hope he thanked you after you pointing it out to him!!

Think I may pop out shopping before lunch to get back at a reasonable time to do something else other get dinner and do the chickens.

Still feeding the hedgehogs in the garden and seeing them most nights.

Morning all/Evening Kim. nearly typed CHRIS.

Rain here during the night, not much, but more promised during the day

It's Jan's daughters birthday tomorrow, and it always rains !!! So don't be surprised.

Have a nice day in Cambridge Jane, We went there last year with Conrad and had a punt out on the river. Very enjoyable day.

Ros is going out for part of he day with Carolyn, she has to be back by 4.00 as Julia's daughter is bringing the baby to see us.

Harvey and Julia have invited us down to theirs for Sunday for Fathers Day. I thought it was later in the month.

Spoke with the Doctor yesterday regarding my blood tests. The testosterone level is down below the expected level again, and it looks like I will have to start injections again. It helps with osteoporosis. So at my age and always falling over it might be a good thing to have them. FORGET THE SIDE EFFECTS

No plans today, apart from getting dinner for tonight, and reading the paper and my book and having a quiet day.

I saw my neighbour yesterday, and he HADN'T NOTICED that I had cut and trimmed his front lawn. So it shows how much he looks at things... :-D :-D

Going shopping today as it is not very nice here just grey........

Morning/Evening All
That is a shame Mel for only one baby to be left :-(.It sounds like this one is big enough now hopefully to be safe.

Frank Chris often has some Speckled He*s in.I have had a taste and actually quite like it.

Well it is all cloud again this morning although when I got up for the loo about 5 it was beautiful. At least I won't be too hot walking around in Cambridge.I feel much better this morning so should be ok now.

I had the most odd dreams last night. One of them was that I had 2 Tigers as pets !!!
Off into the shower now Chris is out so have a nice day now.Back sometime later today.

Welcome Les and pop in again please and tell us more.

It was quite sunny here today in the end and I got a load of washing dry after it clouded over a bit. In the latish evening it started to rain. Oh got the back field seeded this afternoon so we could do with a little rain. I did'nt go shopping as they said we have rain tomorrow so I thought I may as well go then.

I am still having trouble emailing and hav'nt sent Maureen's emails on to Shirl, Ann and William. If someone else can will they please do so.

Frank I too had a job getting to the last page this morning. I always post and usually get hte Error page but then go to My Threads and see the post got through.

Mummy pheasent came on Saturday with only one chick left.....boo hoo. She has come on each day since and is now mixing with the other two girls and the male pheasent.

Off for my shower now so see you all in the morning.

Night night...........

Goose==Geese what does it matter. You knew what I meant. It's the speed I type with my one finger :-D :-D :-D

Talking of Geese, were we ??? I had four fly over this afternoon, honking away as they went.

Also had American Jet Fighters on practice runs, going over also. The noise was deafening. Ros jumped a mile in the air as they went over.

Good old GRANNY Fiona, helping out when needed.

Hi Les., I use to spot Doodle-Bugs from my front door step. I would watch the flamer till it went out and the engine cut out. Then you had some idea where it was going. If it looked too close, we would dive in the Anderson or under the Morrison SHELTER . We had one drop in the next road and took out our back windows, while we all lay (5 kids and Mum) under the Morrison shelter.. My uncle Joe sat in the armchair and got covered in glass. It seems so strange that the mention of the war years, brings back instant memories, even though they were 70 years ago. My Dad was to old for active service in the 2nd war, but did his time as a Chief gunner in the 1st. He still did the war years with the PLA (Port of London Authorities ) Plotting movements of shipping in the Channel Then went onto the Pleasure trips from London Bridge to Southend, Clacton, Margate and Ramsgate on the Paddle steamer "GOLDEN EAGLE" After that he was on the Tramp steamers around the French ports. He was a born and bread Sailor, who I miss so much even today.

Sorry I'm waffling on again, I'm tired and had a few "SPECKLED HENS" so my apologies.

Good night all

Jane

Evening All and welcome Les
I bet you and Frank and William have a lot in common what with war time tales and being lads then.

Well Im tucked up keeping near the loo :-S.Have had a dicky tum and desperately want to be right for going to Cambridge tomorrow.

William ,Frank was trying to say Grouse :-D :-D.I'm actually wondering now if it might be a Partridge or French Partridge as coming up the lane earlier one ran in front of the car into the field right opposite our house .The bedroom windows will have to be shut tonight as I really don't want that 4.30 early morning alarm from the feathered creatures again.Just going to settle down and read my book so see you all again in the morning x

Frank, if Jane is going to have groose for dinner one night, I want breef! You either had a typo, a drop too much or you meant grouse (but I don't think so!!!) Amazing what one letter will do to a word, I do it all the time.

Pretty grey here today, no gardening, just nursing a sore everything. Carmel had to go to the docs again this afternoon and that's about as exciting as life gets here today.
Looking forward to watching The Fall tonight - and Frankie tomorrow night.

Take care all, And we also had the heating back on for two nights as well!

Evening All

Just got back from Victoria's house been there since 10 this morning , I am tired, Victoria is feeling better no pain in her stomach now but very tired and weak from not eating much Yesterday.think it must have been a 24 hour bug or something. anyway I went up mainly to help with taking Sofia to and from Nursery, also helped with bathing Matteo, he hates getting a bath screams like blue murder, and it's not an easy job on your own holding a slippery baby.

Ready for my dinner, salmon and peas and new potatoes :-) and strawberries for desert. and then I'm going to have a bath and relax

Been a cloudy and coolish windy day, we had about 20 mins of sun and then it was cloudy again,

Frank

Frank Report 10 Jun 2013 17:49

It seems everyone is having trouble. I have been round and round the houses to get here.

Put all my new peas in, only stumbled against the greenhouse twice , and no broken glass thank Gawd !!! All watered in, as is the rest of the garden back and front. Everywhere was so dry, there were cracks in the earth. :-0 :-0

Very still afternoon here, no sign of sun all day, the heating turned itself on again this afternoon on the time and temp. clock. so must be cooling down out there. Never had heating on at this time of year before. Temp set at 19 degrees for indoors. It's just comfortable at the moment.

I realise you all must be having trouble getting on here, but hope to catch up with you later.

No Mel ,no sun here again :-S.This is the first time I have managed to get on here this morning. Was going straight to Error :-S :-S
I had done a post about the rude awakening again I had this morning but lost it.
4.30 again !!!!!! This time it was a Magpie and a Crow with the Grouse somewhere .The Magpie was strutting about in the middle of the Rd.The Crow I think was on our roof and the Grouse just nearby .The noise was ridiculous.Between the 3 of them they totally drowned out the lovely birdsong from the little birds.I had to close the windows and then couldn't get back off to sleep even though the new Mattress Topper was so comfy.

James ,Jess and I are off to Fitz's in a minute for a bite of lunch .Hopefully the cats will be about as Jess loves cats.So Tatty Bye for now.

Not on your nelly Mel, Cool and very cloudy. The heating came on by itself this morning

In bed by 10.30 last night and slept till 5.45 am. got up had my tea , tablets, and breakfast.

Having trouble with the new Dyso# it keeps cutting out, for no reason. We have been onto the help line, and they talked me through what it might be. I followed their instructions, and Ros is doing the bedroom carpet at the moment., If it continues will get back in touch with them, and they can arrange a replacement.
Ros says it's alright again now.

I see everyone has been busy with gardening, in sunshine. We never had any. I took two pairs of shorts and T shits, but never put them on.

Glad you missed me Mel, I think you were the only one AHHHH

Waiting on a call from the Doctors, then I can get showered, and into my old cloths, and put pea plants in, that Ros bought yesterday, about 30 in two trays. I will sow them where the others are, so if any of the seeds come up, I will have loads. !!!

You will have to get Chris's gun handy Jane, You then might have Groose for dinner one night. Pleased you are getting the youngsters to give you a bit of a hand. How long is JESS staying ???

Ros has gone off to Tesc# for odds and ends, and go to the Sorting Office to collect a parcel that they couldn't deliver on Saturday.

I have had a very long haul to get to the last page to read your posts.

In the meantime I have put out the bins and faffed around with the chickens. I still don't know if I shall get to the last page after posting this.

Maureen I had two failure notices on sending on your email with the childrens pics on. So Ann and William did'nt get them afterall.

My pc keeps telling me to upgrade my toolbar and I don't know if thats the trouble I am having at the mo. I can't attach any pics to emails and now it seems I can't forward anythning as well.

Dare not try and upgrade it myself as I am bound to do something wrong!! Shall have to ask oh to do it for me but he is out on the digger at the moment . O he has just come in the back door.

I suppose now you all have sunshine as it must be your turn now.

Popping in to say night night all, although you may all be in beddybyes by now anyway.

You've heard the song Achy Breaky Heart, well I've got a achy breaky back from being in the garden potting up my planters two days on the trot in the sunshine.

Going to be up early in the morning and make myself a mushroom and stilton omelette. Will read all the posts then.

Sleep tight . . . ;-)

Maureen ,lovely photo's of the little ones , is it a year round already !! goodness me .

Ann, there's more plastering to do , then the ceiling to emulsion , then i think the new work tops will go on with the new sink and taps ,then the walls can be tiled ,new socket fronts to go on , new cooker extractor to be fitted then walls and woodwork can be painted .
New flooring to go down and two new doors to be hung ....so not much more really :-S

It's a good job you missed the wallet when you did Frank, three miles is not to far to have to turn back ,much better than getting nearly home and then remembering it was left behind !!
