LOL Ann Jess is always like this :-S :-S.Needs a firework up her backside :-D :-D I do love her ,but she needs a bit of oomph. Yes early morning. But he said he will arrive and get the windows ready on the drive first .At least it is just downstairs windows tomorrow,so no problem rushing to the bathroom and being naked lol.Chris will be up and about anyway as he is off early to Waitro**. He has just got in from work and is doing the rounds inspecting the windows. He is never here when all the muck and grot is going on and swans in when I've cleared up .To be honest there was only one window that came out which caused quite a bit of debris.A lot of brick gubbins.I had to give one of the settees a good wiping down with a wet cloth.(good job it's leather). :-D
William KIm is our friend in Australia :-D

Maybe Jess is making the most of it before she has a job and getting up for work................but she obviously feels completely at home at your place!! The men have done well almost finishing your windows today.........I see they will be back very early tomorrow, so another early start for you!! :-0
Our window cleaners should have come today but didn't turn up. I bet they come tomorrow morning instead now when we will be out. :-S
I sat watching the little Bluetits whizzing in and out of nextdoor's nest box a while ago......must see if I can get a pic. I don't think there can be many greenfly left in our garden now!! Obviously their eggs have hatched. and there are customers in the restaurant!
We had a salad with hot jersey royals, Salmon (OH had smoked Mackerel) and little crumbed, melted camembert cheeses today, followed by a fresh melon, banana, grape and mango salad with low calorie icecream. It was nice to be picking own lettuce, radish, rocket and spinach.

Ann ,I'm glad you got somewhere with the company and hope you don't have to wait too long to get your keys back :-D I wasn't impressed with Jess this morning.Neither was James. He told her she was embarrassing. She is terrible at getting up in the mornings. :-S.She did make a big jug of juice for the men :-)I don't think she liked it much when I called her drippy drawers lol Only one chap coming tomorrow at 7.30.his son who was the other will be a Daddy tomorrow as his girlfriend is being induced so he will be at the hospital. He looks about 16,but is 21. I've just put the bedroom curtains back up and am very pleased with the new windows. One pane though has a crack in the top corner so that will have to be replaced.I reckon it will all be finished by early afternoon tomorrow.
William it sounds like it was a grand day yesterday :-D and nice weather too.
Frank I hope your neighbours won't be expecting you to do their lawn each time :-S I hope you are rewarded :-DIt sounds like your lounge is like a flower shop.4 vases !! It must have been a huge Bouquet :-D :-D
Meg is still here. Her owners are in Portugal for a week and the Grandson who lives with them has the week off work so he is looking after her.He asked if I could let her out for a wee about 2pm and said he would be back about 4............he hasn't arrived yet :-S,so I'm glad I decided to bring Meg here. She is stretched out on the floor beside me at the moment. She is getting on a bit now.I think 13 and her legs are so stiff bless her cotton socks. She keeps tripping up :-(
Meg just gone Luke(grandson) has been for a Tattoo .It is all up his arm and is wrapped in cling film !!!!.He said it took 4 hours :-0 and is still not finished. Oh well if he can put up with the pain lol
Pasta for Chris and me tonight.James and Jess are having something different which they can get themselves.

I don't know what happened there, part of the post never went through.
I was saying The meal won't be hot with Veg.. I have some king prawns and mackerel fillets in the fridge, if Ros fancies a salad. If not there is Scampi for Ros.and various fish for me, with chips and tartare sauce.
So we won't go hungry.

IT'S GOT (HOT) here too Jane.!!!
I have been out in the sun most of the day, I covered my front, shoulders and legs in sun tan lotion and sat reading my book. The battery is getting low, so have put it on charge for tonight in bed.
Ros has just gone out into the sunshine, she can't take a lot as it brings her out in a rash, where as I can soak it up for hours.. Ros believes I am related to a foreign family, by the way my body colours up !!!
Thanks for your good wishes folks. I still remember the day as though it was 35 years ago ha ha ha No really it never seems that long ago., even though a lot of water has passed under the bridge.
I am going for a shower now, to get rid of the suntan lotion. and start to prepare a meal for tonight. Nothing So we won't go hungry.
See you later.

Even gotter here Mel!! lol :-D
HAPPY ANNIVERSARY TO FRANK AND ROS. <3 <3 What a lovely day for it too, just like the big day itself. Me, I've had to come in.....too hot! :-S I hope your neighbours have a big THANK YOU and box of choccies for you when they come back......you are very good to them doing all that.
Perfect for your windows too Jane and not windy either. Are they white windows or do you have the wood effect ones? Fancy Jess behaving like that. I would have to say something unless she was ill. In her shoes I would be outside pulling weeds up to help out or offering to do something useful if I could.......like get the chaps who are working a cuppa.
What a great day you had William and now another nice day to rest and refect on it all.
The company who fitted the porch cupboard have emailed me to say they will send someone to try and reunite me with my car keys!!!! lol I just have to wait till they can fit it in.
OH has almost painted the rest of the side fence now, except for the trellis on top. I think the Holly tree showed it's disapproval at being pulled away from the fence.......he will be showing me the battle scars later!! How he gets paint all over his hands and the brush handle is a mystery, but at least the fence looks good and he put cardboard down where the slabs are to catch any drips. :-D :-D

Happy belated (?) Birthday to Kim - only I'm not sure who Kim is??? Am I having a senior moment??
Happy Anniversary to Frank and Ros also, hope it's a good day, looks like you scored on the weather.
We had a lovely family 60th birthday party with our SinL yesterday. All met up at the Royal Court hotel just outside Coventry. Contingents from Essex and Ireland. The little ones, Ralph, Maggie and Grace had a great time running about all over the lawn (well, Grace actually watched the other two). There was a carvery meal, quizzes, goody bags and there was a balloon launch. Everyone had a tag to tie on the helium filled balloons and we all went out onto the lawns and launched them off. Goodness knows if we'll ever know where any of them landed, they had SinL email address on them. And of course the weather picked up, the sun shone and the wind dropped, who could have asked for more?
Taking it easy today, pottered around in the garden had a nice lunch, seems like summer might have arrived.

My lawn and the neighbours lawn cut and trimmed. His was such a mess. Buttercups, daisies and dandelions everywhere, and the grass around the boarder was at least 12 inches long. There's no way in this world would I go away and leave my garden looking like that. Perhaps they will take the hint. Ros is going to buy them some long handled shears for their birthday, and a half moon cutter. Both their birthdays are in Sept.
He had put his bin out for collection tomorrow, so all the grass cutting and rubbish has gone in his bin, Ours is quite full from all the cutting back that Ros has done round the back boarders.
The weather today is exactly as it was 35 years ago. Wall to wall sunshine. We had our reception at Billing Aquadrome,, with the doors of the hall opening onto a lawn in front of the lake, where everyone could sit with a drink. I didn't want to leave, but we had a drive to Hastings for our Honeymoon and my entry the week after in the World COD FISHING competition.
Off for a coffer, and a sit in the garden.

David I think anyone in a contraption like that would go barmy after three months!! It is one of those things that you cannot imagine having never been in one.
Yes I forgot too.

Thanks for your replies. The complex injury is 3 months old today. It's put years on me having to sleep on my back all this time. Ellen's been sleeping in the other room so as not to disturb me or knock the contraption. She's thoughtful like that.
Talking about this contraption,it does make sleeping for any length of time difficult. One morning I woke myself by trying to get it off with the right foot as though it was a tight boot...............
Must be ganning barmy?

Morning All and Evening Kim,
Another beautiful day here. No more chicks have hatched but I have had one dead in shell.
Frank I don't sell the chicks as you said they just replace the ones I lost. Trouble is with this lot of eggs they were laid at different times so some have been sat on longer than others. The broody was in one of the chicken houses and as another banty went in and laid broody would pinch the egg and get it under her.
I am so pleased we have heard from our David. Poor fellow you must be going through hell with all that metal on your leg. I do hope the scan results are good and you can have the ironwork off and out of your leg. As everyone else said another day nearer to your complete recovery with each day that passes. I bet the days are really going slow for you David.
Jane when we had our windows done they started on the ground level ones. We live in a bungalow don't forget. It was all done in a day.
Girt or gurt is large or huge down here in deepest Devon Frank as Jane explained. When I read it it was plain to me what she meant.
Fiona nice to be able to go to church again. Glad your shoulder is easing a bit and you are more comfortable. How's MIL did the op go ok and is she more comfy now?
I think curtains are the one thing that gets forgotten when we are hoovering. I often think I should have done them but can't be bothered as my back is aching and think I will do them next time..........

Morning all/ Evening Kim.
What a smashing day. straight out of bed, showered and into shorts. Been round the "Estate" everything looks tickerty Boo. Will get the front lawn done this morning, and do down the neighbours side, now that they have gone away. I will also take the heads of his dandelions , so the don't seed and blow over our garden.
Ros's flowers turned up about 10.00 am. There was enough to fill four vases, which she has now displayed around the lounge.
Conrad rang this morning to wish us a happy anniversary. Ros was so pleased he had remembered. We haven't heard from Harvey yet to let us know he home.
Nothing planed for today, so I will potter around the garden and sit in the sun with my book.
David, So pleased you have let us know the update on affairs. We all think about you, and wish you a speedy recovery. Try to keep in touch, if you can. All the very best with the next round of treatment.
So it's all happening at your house then Jane. How on earth can someone get out of bed, after a nights sleep and go into the summer house, and sleep again. ?? she must have sleeping sickness. LOL
I have never herd the name GURT before, Thanks for that.
"Well this won't get baby a new hat." as the saying goes.
See you later.

Morning Everyone, Evening Kim
Jane good idea to have your windows renewed during the summer months, when we had ours done, it was spring and about twice they took window out in one bedroom then went into another room and took the window out. it was a bit draughty at times. I was worried they would run out of time and go home leaving us with empty windows, daft me. :-0
Dull here, but dry , so glad we had a good day yesterday, when the family were down
Coffee time :-D :-D

LOL Frank!! I've been kept INFORMED don't you worry!! :-S He's been glued to the box too!!! :-)
We've got a neighbour whose passion seems to be strimming!!! Every fine day he is out there flaying every blade of grass in sight!! lol. They make racket too........except when the string bit in it snaps!! :-)
Oh David, how awful to be in pain all this time......I bet you feel like taking a hacksaw to the contraption at times.....I know I would. Fingers crossed the catscan will look good so it can be removed soon. Getting rid of it will seem like a big step forward I would think, goodness knows how you manage to sleep with it. We all think about you and wonder how you are getting on so keep your spirits up. Each day is a day forward in your recovery. I hope Ellen is coping ok too.
