Hi Everyone.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY KIM <3 <3 <3
Weather been lovely today, warm when the sun came out behind the clouds, family down for dinner, but by the time the meal was cooked we decided to go inside, it was easier than carrying all the food outside, (not a BBQ) .
I managed church this morning as my arm is a lot easier. :-)
Frank. we have the same problem today. man across the back from us has a shredder, why he wants to start cutting tree's down , but shreds every little bit what a noise. :-| :-|

Frank ,I think it should be GURT ......means big ,humongous .It might be a West Country expression, and as you know know I'm a Devon Dumpling :-D Windows they say should just take 2 days all being well.
OMG I have just seen on BBC2 an Interview with the owner of The RANG*.Estimated he has £400,000000.(4 hundred million) not sure I got the number of noughts right lol)I knew him when I was at school .I remember he fancied my best friend Anne when he was digging the road to put drains in down our road. Then when bunking off school we all used to go to Mo's (the cafe) and Chris Dawson (the owner of the Rang*) would always be there. He was a right one lol

Ann, I love fresh sardines, but am not allowed to cook them in doors. It's the only time the BBQ gets used now. I have one of those things where you put the fish on and close the other part on top, you can then turn the fish, till they are cooked.
Please tell us Jane, what is a GIRT. Not a rude name for Chris I hope. :-S :-S
No call from Conrad, we have tried to SKYPE him but can't get through
We hope to hear from Harvey later. I don't know what time his train is, so it might be the early house before they arrive home. If so, we will hear tomorrow.
SODS LAW. When we came in the afternoon, everywhere went quite. Why do people have to do noisy jobs on a Sunday afternoon. What's wrong with SATURDAYS especially as most round here are OAPs, and can do jobs anytime I'm off again aren't I :-D :-D
Mel, what you do with the baby chicks ?? keep them to replace the ones that get to old, or sell them off as DAY OLDS ??
Hope everything goes O.K. with the windows tomorrow Jane. Do you know how long they will take ??
Off to get a bit of tea, before the football starts. WILL KEEP YOU INFORMED OF THE SCORE :-\ :-\ :-\ :-\ You know you want to know. :-D :-D

Afternoon All,

Mel I hope the other little chicks all hatch ok. I remember when my canaries were hatching it was exciting to see how many there would be.......they weren't as cute though with no feathers at first!! You could tell by their skin colour where any dark feathers would grow. The hogs seem to be out partying in this fine weather.......I never knew they hissed!!
I'm glad the wedding went off well Maureen..... you little 'bopper' you!!! lol. I remember that a 'glass' always helped ease me onto the dance floor, either that or a crowd I could mingle with. :-) OH tends to muck about if he's dancing and reduces me to laughter with his 70s disco 'moves'!!! lol. (not in public though!!!)
We went and got the rest of the buy 2 get 1 free paint for the fence this morning. The colour we wanted was right at the back of the bottom shelf so OH was on his hands and knees getting it, but at least they had 3 big tins of it left. Now he says he's pulled his shoulder!! :-S
Jane, I wondered if they would start at the top...........in case they dropped something to damage the bottom ones if they'd done those first!! :-0 I nearly got some curtains with the 'holes' in the top, but changed my mind when I realised I'd have to get the poles down to get them off!! It sounds as if yours are like that. I bet mine are well dusty by now too as they've not been washed for about 4 years, just been brushed down!! :-0
Frank, that is a bit odd with your neighbours. We don't have a barbeque, it seems a lot of faff and the oven inside is handy and will cook stuff properly. I have thought about doing fresh sardines outside on one of those disposable ones........it would keep the fish smell outside!! lol I'm glad you both enjoyed your meal. It seems a lot of places load up the drinks prices these days.

Here we are, It's like every man and his DOG has decided to mow the lawns this afternoon, when one stops another start up. I've had enough and come in doors. We have been sitting on the loungers, reading and relaxing. The ice cream man came round so I had to go and get madam a 99 er. I just had a plain ice cream.
The neighbours are the ones that have been next door for years, before we moved here. No Jane they are 5 years and more YOUNGER than me, It's them that should be looking after me.!!! But I wouldn't trust them to do that. lol
We had a very nice lunch. JUST THE TWO OF US. Masses of Roast beef, Roast and new pots. cabbage, cauli, carrots, and broch. We didn't fancy a starter, and after the main meal ,no room for a sweet. It was very quiet there with very little customers, but with the price of drinks, I can see why. £4.70 for a pint of Abbot Ale and £2,55 for a tomato juice. You couldn't get drunk there, you couldn't afford too.
What a perfect end to a perfect day, I am just going to make Ros a cup of tea, with a piece of cake. I will join her with the tea.
Hope you all have had a good day, and feel relaxed in this lovely weather.
Conrad should SKYPE us from Spain at about 5.00 pm. so will look out for him. !!

Ah Mandy! I bet if was my OH he would say get rid.I do still have the Stork with the hanging cradle in it's mouth from my Christening Cake. With a very sickly looking pink plastic baby in the cradle and some icing still clinging to the storks feet lol
So upstairs start then.Ive cleared all downstairs windows and round about .Trouble with the curtains downstairs is the whole bl**dy rails have to come off to get the curtains down :-S :-S.Is it a really mucky job? Any way I can keep the curtains up????
LOL Chris in his lounger looked like a girt big Gnome :-D :-D with his belly :-S I am still really confused as to how all those photos went through.I'm sorry you all had to suffer the whole lot.
Oh my goodness ,just taken down all the curtains in Lounge /Dining.....THE DUST !!!!! I have given them all a good beating out on the lawn.A lot of the dust must have come from when we had the kitchen floor up and all the dehumidifiers and fans blowing .I can now see all the grot and filth that is on the battens .I need the hoover extension to suck all that up.....it's very echoey now :-D
Did anyone see the Audience with Les Dawson last night when he was brought back as a Hologram?....I thought it was brilliant.

Afternoon everyone ,
Happy Birthday Kim, i hope you managed to get out to enjoy a birthday meal <3 <3
Very strange goings on next door then Frank!! are these the new neighbours that moved in a few weeks ago ?
Jane, you were saying about where the men would start upstairs or down ? hubby says they usually start up top first . Got all the other photos thanks , Chris looks nice and relaxed in his chair :-D :-D
All upside down here too in the kitchen :-S hubby's now taking the tiles off the walls , we have been to the tip with two big tubs of old tiles , he thinks we should fill another three tubs with tiles . I have been cleaning out three of the wall cupboards ,washing my glass dishes and sorting out some glasses for the charity shop, i didn't realise how dusty they were in there !! Found the top decoration that i had on our wedding cake in the back of one of the cupboards, it's all gone discoloured , and looks quite tatty now , i wanted to throw it but hubby says no lets keep it !! he's a bit of a softy old thing at times :-D
Right time for a cuppa . BBL

Frank ,I take it your neighbours are elderly ??.I'm sure you will keep an eye on them. I hope you have a lovely meal with everyone.
Maureen ,glad all went well for the wedding.Pity about the drizzle for some of the photos. But at least it didn't tip it down.Yes we had a Thai Take Away. But the dish I ordered had so much Chilli in it I couldn't eat it,so I swapped with Chris .He even said it was too hot.I ordered Chicken with Basil and couldn't taste any Basil :-S :-S
Mel was it you who said you have a Bearded Iris in flower? We have one now :-D :-D
Well my house is being to look like a tip (no change there).Everything coming off window sills, and furniture being dragged away from the windows. All the Lounge curtains will be coming down later, but we have to keep the bedroom ones up tonight otherwise we won't get any sleep. My little birds won't be able to eat their fat sticks off the window sill for the next couple of days.I bet they will have the hump lol.Chris has just moved ALL the pots etc from under all the windows to give the men a clear space for working in.He is now going around with his 'flame thrower thing ' burning the weeds that were behind all the pots. I think it is time for a spot of lunch.

<3 <3 <3HAPPY BIRTHDAY DEAR KIM <3 <3 <3 Hope you are enjoying or I should say have enjoyed your day.
Congratulations on the arrival of a beautiful grt.granddaughter William and Carmel. Don't know if this is happening to anyone else but I don't get a chance to read your messages William before the photos come up and cover the message up, but there have been some great photos of your trips out.
Happy Anniversary to Jane and Chris, did I see somewhere you were having a Thai takeaway, yummy.
Well the wedding went off fantastically well, weather wasn't great but it wasn't pouring with rain, it did start to drizzle just as the photographer was about to take photos of groom's family, typical, so we had to go inside for them. Son called round the night before and asked me to iron his new shirt which had creases in from the folds, I was so nervous, thinking don't let me ruin this especially as he said it cost him £50, and to think I must have ironed at least 30 shirts that day :-0
To say I was a bit fragile the next day is an understatement,, I haven't danced so much for years and I need a few glasses before I will even get up to dance ;-) So that's another one wed, three down and one to go.
I'm going to the crematorium soon, will put the table flower arrangement by the rose bush and plaque of my mum and dad. I thought it was very thoughtful of my son and d-i-l that they did a tribute to my mum and son's very good friend who both died from cancer and had made a donation to the charity.

Not us with a BBQ. We have one but don't use it much only if company come down.
I have watered the tunnel and sowed a couple of baby bush marrows as I could'nt get any plants anywhere. I don't want the long trailing ones as I put those in the tunnel too.
Strage goings on with your neighbours Frank. Perhaps they forgot they were going away or had been and come back. Do you speak to them?

Morning everyone/Happy Birthday Kim.,
I thought I would pop in before showering and shaving.
We have lunch booked for 1.30 pm so will need to be away from here by 1.00 pm.
We had such a shock yesterday afternoon. We were in the garden with doors and windows open, and next door was all shut up. curtains drawn and no sign of life. They had said they were going away on MONDAY for a few days to THETFORD Norfolk. We assumed as the weather was nice they had gone early. At about 7.00 pm I went to water the patio and new plants Ros had put in. When out of the BLUE their patio door opened and she came out.. Only to disappear as quickly as she came.
This morning, they have door and bedroom windows open, sun loungers out, and it isn't even that warm yet. Ros thinks they are going senile. :-D :-D :-D
Trust you all have the fine weather, WHO's having a BBQ ???

Good morning All and Evening birthday girl.
I hope you have enjoyed your special day, had loads of pressies and were able to go out for your meal.
We have bright sunshine again here today and the wind has dropped at the moment.
Backs a bit better today but I shall not be doing anything to strenuous today.
Hands are all dry at the mo and cracked open in some places. Think it is having my hands in dirt with weeding and using the hosepipe in the tunnel which is covered in dusty earth.
I am going to pick my first three strawberries today!!!!!!!!!! on Kim's birthday.
