Morning all/evening Kim.

The cloud is just starting to break up, so hopefully it will be a nice day again.

Nothing planned for today. Might get the front lawn done, and plant a few stocks in the border. That have just appeared from nowhere. !! These fairies are so kind, bringing flower plants when I am not looking :-D :-D :-D

By the time KIM reads our posts, it will be her birthday, won't it ?? If so
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU KIM. 21 1/2. I bet.

Ros always said to the boys when they asked how old she was on her birthday 21 1/2. and is they misbehaved when out shopping with her as children. She would say "Don't call me MUM call me Auntie" That still sticks in their minds all these years later.

My wisteria is the best it has ever been, it's covered the whole garage roof now and hanging down all around the walls. There a lovely smell as you walk down the garden, from all the blossom and flowers, what a great time of the year.

I ended up not getting Ros's flowers on line, I called in at the local (VILLAGE) garden centre. They will get the flowers delivered after they get a fresh delivery on Monday morning. I don't think you would get that on line. !!

Would you believe that while I have been sitting here, the clouds have all dispersed and it's clear blue sky's now with white fluffy clouds.

I think it's book and sun lounger for me..

See you later.

Hello all,

First day of winter and although no sun, the heavy cloud has kept the chill away.

I received two lovely bouquets of flowers today, one from OH and the other from my friend Sylvia, so thoughtful. Some of you will see them on FB.

Daughter stayed over last night after a heavy night out on the drink. Fell asleep in her clothes and I couldn't settle until she got home as is the case with us mothers. She will be here again tonight as she is working tomorrow.

My son is home this weekend too which is unusual for him. Always out and about generally. Well at least he will save some money for a change.

Shirl good luck on Tuesday with your injections.

I hope to be able to get out tomorrow, but will see how the old body feels. Dinner would be nice if I could just manage it.

Have a good day everyone, hope the sun is shining for you all. 7.24 pm AEST

Morning All and Evening Kim,

Another glorious day here and I ache all over after yesterdays gardening session. Up at just before 7am and went back to bed and had another sleep. I was really worn out yesterday and today we have the wedding to ring for which breaks the day up. Never mind, have to pick up the paper and my wholemeal loaf this morning from the local shopand water the tunnel.

What are you lot up to???

Here I am!! Been up the border all afternoon with oh. He helped me and we got loads of weeding done. With the wetr weather lst year I gave up onthe border after all my work earlier in the year. It was so cold inthe autumn that I did'nt cut down the old growth and tidy it before winter then with the winter we had I thought just as well as the old growth should protect it. I have lost 4 delphiniums at least and am very cross. They are the ones oh bought me last year, lovely pale blue one and dark blue one and a bluey mauve one. I also split up my huge pale blue one and lost most of those too.

Oh dug the front of the border and I was getting the flipping buttercups out of the back by the wall so oh can do a bit of digging for me there too. He is going to put the mulch on tomorrow morning early, back willing. We are both so stiff and my hips hurt from balancing between the plants.

We have to ring for a wedding tomorow afternoon at 1.45pm for 2pm wedding.

Frank I only drive fast when oh is not with me but try to keep to speed limits through the villages. Loads of people don't.

Nice to see you around SHIRL. HOPE ALL GOES WELL WITH THE EYES ON TUESDAY.

THE WEATHER HERE HAS BEEN LIKE A SUMMERS DAY, NOT BEFORE TIME, I MIGHT ADD. I WAS ABLE TO SIT OUTSIDE TILL 5.00 PM. BEFORE COMING IN TO GET TEA. I HAVE TYPED THIS IN CAPITALS, SO HOPEFULLY YOU CAN READ IT.

Will, I think I will have to come out with you. All these freebies. Sorry about the ERROR. What a difference a letter makes :-D :-D :-D

I bet you were away this coming week Jane. It's a right bummer when you have been away in such bad weather, to come home to this. Next you will be complaining " IT'S TOO HOT" Dis you catch any bunnies this week ???

This afternoon, I saw the first baby starlings. Mum bought them into the garden, she feed them on the fat/seed block. What beautiful little things the babies are.

Hows Mum and baby pheasants doing Mel, I see you may have lost one, not bad considering the clutch.

Fiona, I think it is the norm. for the older generation to treat their grandchildren like babies. It's a grand parent thing. I suppose we will be like it when we are OLD. loil

BGT is on, so I am out of the way for a couple of hours even THREE. as when this is over there's corrie then the results, then the recorded Eastenders. So I will return to the lounge area at about 10.00/10.30 pm. in time to watch a bit of ROAD WARS or some other Police Programme. Then to bed, with my book.

At least we aren't together, with me "moaning" about the "CRA#" acts that are on there.

Hi Folks, I'm late on today as we have been into Coventry courtesy of our bus passes soaking up the sun and getting freebies along the way.
Just after we got there, these girls were handing out free tins of pop, then as we were heading back for our bus, in Broadgate N*scafe had a kiosk where they were dishing out free samples of their 3 in 1 coffee, ready to drink, and also giving away packets containing 4 sachets plus a 50p voucher, they gave us 4 of those. Can't be bad.
Have emailed out some photos from today taken on my phone.

Mother and baby Olivia are doing well and F*cebook is being inundated with photos of both mother and baby. So I'm filling up my album at an alarming rate before we even meet the little darling.

Frank, your typo made me laugh. I take you meant you are an old 'moaner', not an old 'mourner', I'm sure we all know what you mean but we wouldn't be without you for the world.

Fiona, how did you get left of my email with Olivia - let me have your email and I'll see you are updated. You can PM via GR for safety.

Jane,

MIL usually stays for a week at Easter and then another week in July. because we try to make it when OH is on holiday. but with me not being well, and she has not been very well (what a pair we are :-) most of this year. she didn't come up at Easter.
It worked out well that OH had to work in England this week so he can pick her up on the way home tonight and then take her back home on Monday afternoon,
She is ok really , still treats my two girls as kids, but they smile and don't say a word cos they know grandma will soon be going home.
and of course she has 2 great grand children now so she can baby them instead, I feel if she stays with us for a few days, it gives OH brother and family a rest from having to keep an eye on her, and after all my OH had to have my dad around for 10 years while I looked after dad. so fair is fair.

Well Katherine came down at lunch time , made my lunch as well as her own and then she hovered up stairs for me while I finished the ironing.
All I want to do is go and give the bathroom and downstairs loo a clean over and then its time for another cuppa.

Was lovely at lunch time even had my toastie outside, but the sun has gone now think I'll be putting on a cardi it's gone chilly

Could someone please send me Williams pic of baby Olivia, id love to see her. :-D

Frank Report 31 May 2013 16:34

Yes Mel. It's been going on a fair time, I know of others who have been on them. You wouldn't know because you are a GOOD GIRL and don't break the speed limit :-D :-D

Just got back. and having a cup of tea, beautiful day out there, even though the sun has popped behind some clouds, it's still very warm and I am down to my shorts again !!!

Northampton is being swamped by Eastern Europeans, in Morriso## this afternoon, all you could hear was their jabbering in a foreign language.. I was glad to get home, away from it all.

I was talking with a neighbour down the road who's friend works in the Housing allocation Dept. for the Council. When they offer some of these people a two bed flat or small house. They complain "I WANT A BIGGER HOUSE LIKE THE ENGLISH HAVE" I say when you have been here and paid your taxes, saved your money, then you can buy what us English have worked all our lives for.

Rant over, no going to town for me for some time to come !!

Suns out again, so I am going to take the paper, and sit in the sun for a while.

Was that an option then Frank for Ros to do the course or take the fine and points? Never heard of that before.

Mandy better luck with the new cue!!!

Got one other tom plant and a tricolour sage as the ordinary one I have in the border is old and straggerly now and I think I will dig it out. They give a nice show for a couple of years and lighten up the border. a good doer as they say for filling a space. Must also get my two new lupins in and the bronze fennel.

O well onward and upwards.

See you later.

This must be the best day we have had this year. It is really summer!!

Anyone been watching Springwatch?

Mel Fairy Godmother Report 31 May 2013 14:38

Back and had lunch. Hav'nt caught up with posts yet.

We bought to HUGE dumpy bags of bark chippings for the border so you will know what I shall be doing this afternoon before it can go on!!!

Still here, Madam decided she wanted to get showered and wash, and do her hair.

I ended up doing the back lawn and trimming the edges.

Little overcast now, but nice and warm.

Must remember to get Photo's taken for new Passports. I think Tesc# has one of those booths Will check Morriso## when we are in there first.

Ros is booked on a drivers awareness course on 7th June 1.30 pm to 5.45 pm Cost £90.00 BUT NO POINTS OR £60.OO fine. Perhaps now she will keep that BLOO## right foot of the GAS now . You are only allowed ONE COURSE in THREE YEARS. so she will have to watch it. with points on your licence I think your Insurance goes up..

Still waiting, I will go and gee her up a bit. The sun will be gone by the time we get out and back again. BAH BAH

Afternoon everyone,

Lovely to see the sun again but goodness it was so foggy first thing ,doors and windows open here too but that then lets the blessed flies in !! :-S got two buzzing round in here ,i bought a fly swat last year best thing i bought for just 75p !! much better than spray which doesn't seem to work like it use too.

Hi Kim, i see your finger got stuck to the key did it !! :-D :-D :-D :-D
Sounds as if you enjoyed your day out ,i think we'll all be out in the garden today got to make the most of the sun while we have it :-)

Our house phones are playing up, when some one rings, the phone just does a blip, no ring or any thing :-S hubby seems to think it's to do with the box where the wires go into , so more expense !!

How's the new baby today William ? she looks a bonny little girl in the photo :-)

Right off to plant up my new Cucumber plant .....hope i don't kill this one off :-S :-D

Good morning all/Evening Kim.

I see Kim has got the hic cups ;-) ;-) Take more water with it. :-D :-D

What a beautiful day, was up about 8.00 am showered and shaved, got myself dressed. I have read and sent all the Emails

Had appointment at the Doctors for Bloods and pressure. It was so nice I walked round there in shirt sleeves and TROUSERS. !! Just in case to thougfht6 I was flashing.!!!

Poor ANNE AND ALAN. What sort of person would do that., and how would they gain from it.. If they gave an address to forward the money to. The police would have a contact to arrest them.

I renewed our Passports yesterday what a price they are now. !! The reason for doing it is Conrad's business is going so well, he has flown out to Alicante today for at least a month, to help with all the enquiries he is renting an apartment on a monthly basis to start with, but may well get something permanent , so we might get to spend time with him, in Spain. Also Harvey and Julia keep onto us to go to their place in southern France. The only drawback there is, Ros won't drive out there, and there's not a lot to do, only the pool and beach. There is a shop on the complex, and a couple of bars, But as Ros doesn't drink we would be confined to the site.

Going off to town soon, so will see you later.

Morning/Evening All
Kim you are supposed to take your finger off the submit button :-D :-D :-D ;-).Sounds like you have had a lovely day out and about..and a new jumper too.I'm sure it looks great on you.

Fiona ,how long does MIL stay when she comes? Is she easy to have .I know my sister is dreading having her MIL for a week :-S.

Yes I'm home Kim .Got back last night. We didn't see any of the Gypsies or their Horses .But there was a definite whiff of horses in the air .Apparently they had had a Trotting Weekend which ended the day before we got there.I assume this is when one person sits low on the back of this carriage thing and makes the horse trot as fast as possible along the roads and lanes.I have seen them do it on the TV.
We did see a couple of families camped up on a village green when we were on the way home yesterday.I only got a pic of the basic caravans and missed the ornate ones :-|.I didn't dare get Chris to back the car up to get a better look lol.

Well what a difference today. It's lovely. All doors and windows flung open now.Washing on the line and more in the machine.I need to get a bit of shopping in,and then I'm off to see Fitz at lunchtime.
Jess says she might make a dessert !!!! I won't hold my breath on that one lol.I'll buy one anyway just in case one doesn't materialise here.
I will send a few pics later today, but now I need to get moving.

Nice to see you back with us Pat.I'm so sorry you have had all the family trouble, and glad you enjoyed your week away from it all.

Hi Ruby nice you are back too.I think sometimes I need to stay away from the pooter too.It really does put you off getting on with things that really need to be done. But then the nice weather does the same sometimes :-D

Oh well shopping needs to be done.....BBL

Morning Mel, Evening Kim.

Ah Ah so you say Kim ;-)

Sunny here at the moment ,

Going to stop this daughter no 1 and daughter no 2 lark)
no 1 daughter is Victoria, no 2 daughter is Katherine.

Well MIL coming to night , so I need to do a bit of freshening up in her room, needs a quick going over with the hoover and dusting, Katherine says she will put away the ironing board for me as I don't want to over do the lifting, arm is getting easier, but aches a bit in the morning when I first wake up.

I remember the van with the school dentist and the nurse who came to give vaccinations, I never went to the school dentist as my mum used to take me to the family dentist for any treatment. but I do remember having to stand in a long line outside the van door with the other kids for the NIT nurse, if you had nits you would get a letter home to your parents so they could get something into treat it. :-0
