Back from really smashing lunch.Everything was just perfect,although I had to use the wine list as a fan ! I was just a tad too hot.

William ,you have a really interesting and lovely garden .So much going on and all the colours.What a good idea to have the tile wall .I have enjoyed looking at all the pics (more than once now )

I think it is much too hot now .I have every curtain in the house (at the back ) drawn.Chris seems to have vanished.Think he has gone for a lie down.I watched the tennis in my sun lounger in the lounge It is just so comfortable .Chris thought I was nuts

Ooh Kim ,I bet you can't wait now until Tuesday.Is the new treatment in tablet form?It would be great for you to get a second wind (I think that is the right expression).What a shame Joel has Thyroid probs.He is still so young as you say.Good that your daughter has been taken on permanently .A great relief for all I really pleased for her.

Time for another cold drink I think .

I do hope this new treatment will set you on the road to more of a recovery Kim. Good luck for Tuesday from me and him. Hope Joel can get sorted too. What good news on the daughter front. Perhaps she will be more settled now she knows she has permanent employment.

Was out in the garden most of yesterday and pimms on the lower deck later in the day. Did'nt cook last night really as I did'nt feel like it so we had the sausages in sandwiches and I did a pud from the freezer in the microwave. Only three mins and it was a summer fruit sponge.

Went up to open the tunnel this morning and fed most of the squashes and marrows and courgettes and when I got to the one where the snake usually is I spotted it's skin of it's tail end. Followed it through and I now have the whole skin. Must take a pic for you all to see.

Youngest SIL is coming down next Friday so I have to have a good cleanup. Blast..... but it will be nice to see her again and her hubby and youngest dau Stephanie.

Must be off up the shop now and sort out something for dinner tonight. Probably fillet steak as thats easy to do.

We have a warm day today, and there's still that wind, I remember the days I would sit out for hours in the sun reading my book, now I can only sit for a couple of hours as I can't cope with the heat, hot flushes and my head, BUT AT LEAST I AM OUT IN THE SUN this year.

I am very tired with a cold and all this running up and down to Victoria's house , I am happy to say she is looking & feeling a lot better and now just needs to get her energy back.

Going for a coffee, and a sit down.

It is very chilly here, but the sun it out. Must tell you all that my daughter has been made permanent part-time, so no longer casual. She will be working long hours now. Some good news for a change.

The doctor's office rang yesterday and the new treatment from the US has arrived. I see him next Tuesday, so I dare to hope it will bring me some relief.

Joel's tests came back showing problems with the thyroid. He will be coming to the doctor with us. Not what I'd wished for my boy at such a young age.

I hope you are all well and enjoying the summer. Time for lunch, a toasted cheese sandwich and a coffee. 2.17 pm AEST

Managed to get dinner done and my Bum is still glued lol.I can see this tennis going on for hours yet .I doubt I can stay up much longer.Need my beauty sleep .
I was born at 5.15 am on 6th July 1954....I only knew the time I was born a few years ago when I had my original birth certificate .Plus seeing I was called Helen .That was the strangest feeling knowing that I had been called something other than Jane even if it was only for a few weeks at the start of my life.Think Jane suits me better than Helen
Must get back to Murray.

Two sets to One, and the bugg##s are close the roof, so delayed another 20 minutes. The foreign guy is complaining about the light. After loosing 5 games on the trot. I think it's delaying tactics. Hope he looses !!! serve him right.


I have watered everywhere tonight. The tomato plants water trays were bone dry.
My little blackbird has been following me around, as I watered he popped up looking for anything that I disturbed. Bless.!!

Poor old Fitz, Fancy not taking a change of trousers with him. Even if I am only going away overnight I take a spare pair. You never know when an accident might occur. I would bound to happen to me if I went without a change.

Jane , poor Fitz , i thought you were going to say he had spilt some thing down the front of his trousers , i bet it was a piece of cotton he pulled on the seam , i shouldn't think it was very comfortable with all those safety pins !! bit to close for comfort i should think

Had a Postcard from Fitz this morning.He said he only took one pair of trousers with him and when he was having dinner either the first or second night on board,they split all the way from the Crotch to the knee on one leg !!!!!!!!.He was helped by staff who gave him enough safety pins to hold things together.Then I think he managed to get a new pair in Santander.But he says it wasn't an easy job.Poor old Fitzy,how embarrassing for him .....but soooooo funny .Wicked me
