:-( Still no news on the baby front yet, the suspense is killing us. Our grandson Matthew has gone there so at least we have a front line reporter on site.

Pat, I haven't got any planter/pot plants yet, nor any compost to make any up. It's taken me all my time to salvage my garden from the ravages of the winter and not being able to get out there. I'll probably do something in June, weather permitting, but I don't think it will be on lasts years scale.

We just glanced up and there on the bird feeder was a Mag Pie !! i got up to get the camera and he took off :-(

Frank , the Clematis has had a good watering in then with all the rain.

No rain here but we have put the heating on as it turned quite chilly .

Frank

Frank Report 29 May 2013 18:01

Water logged here. It has been raining all day long. It's getting dark, more like November than May.!!

Managed to get clematis in round by the dead "BLUE TREE" it will grow up the branches and join an everlasting sweet pea and a honey suckle., already in situ.

Maureen, I do hope the weather stays fine for the wedding tomorrow. What time is it ?? There can't be much more up there lol.

I think Jane is planning to come home of Friday, that's if they don't cut short their break.

Pat, I have given up on my two. They knew where I was when they younger, and I visited my daughter. Son IL and grand children most weeks after I finished a days work, and drove 50 miles round trip to do it.
When both of them needed a cheap car, good old Dad got them for them, with very little cost to either of them But I suppose they expected that, as I was in the trade.
But my God it still hurts to think I have two grand children in the WAR. and I know nothing about whether they are O,K. or not.

I think this is where I get my sleepless nights and worries from, if only she knew what she is putting me through, but I will never forgive her for what she has done to me.

How did the shopping trip go Mel. Did you buy any more plants or things for the garden/pond ???

I hope you are getting a bit of comfort from your tens machine Fiona.

Come on Will, where's that BABY ??

Maureen Report 29 May 2013 15:27

Yes William I saw Frankie for the first time last week and enjoyed it so will tune in again tonight, I don't like Britains Got Talent it's on nearly every night this week.

All geared up now for son's wedding tomorrow, have been a bit pessimistic regarding the weather but it looks now like cloudy but not raining, fingers crossed.

What have you done to your shoulder Fiona. I have missed quite a lot of posts. I don't know where Jane has gone either, except there will be a load of gypsies there :-0 how long is she away?

Must get this house tidied up now, daughter and husband are staying over tomorrow night after the wedding so better dust all the cobwebs out of the spare room :-D

William Report 29 May 2013 14:39

Baby watch - no news yet - you'll know as soon as I do.

Anyone else been watching 'Frankie' on BBC 1, will be on tonight. About the district nurse? We find it great, good acting, good stories and totally believable, except I don't know how they run such posh cars!

Hello all,

Haven't read all the posts. I get so far behind. I hope Jane and Chris are enjoying their time away and that cough has improved.

So some of you are having lovely sunny days and others rain? We are having nice days still around the 22 degree mark and cool nights. I can handle that.

Just had a couple of hoons in our quiet little street doing burnouts. First time in many years, but not nice when it occurs. I hope the police catch up with them somewhere.

Families bah, my stepson and his family will be up here next week. He has made it clear he doesn't want to see me. That's fine, we have a history going back a long way. I just hope he doesn't want to come to the house - they are staying in the local caravan park. I'm sure it would be best if Keith and kids went out to dinner with them, that way no tensions will arise. He called me some terrible names last time I emailed him, ah well. As I said, families!!!

Speaking of families, Miranda's dog brought home a kitten. Such a pretty little torti and only about 5-6 weeks old. She is fostering her for the time being and they have named her Poppy. Diego is grooming her and carrying on as if he owns her. They did bring her here today to visit me. What a delightful little creature and full of mischief. Whoever adopts her will have their hands full. ;-) My two were very put out and went into hiding, wusses, lol. Ethan has fallen in love with her and I have this feeling that she will be staying put; silly really as they can't afford another pet.

Fiona I hope your shoulder pain is improving. I tripped over today and reached out with my right arm to stop the fall, did that hurt. I'm a bit clumsy these days.

Well enjoy your day and hopefully some gardening. Off to have a cuppa. Happy days. 10.01 pm AEST

Morning all/Evening Kim,

Oh what a GREY DAY (GAY DAY) Larry Grayson, Drizzling with rain, and very overcast. Another day of staying in doors.

No biting your nails Will. and don't wear the carpet out pacing up and down. It will come when it'd ready, providing it is healthy it won't matter what sex it is. Please let us know the outcome.

I think I will have to get wet later, and plant the Clematis. The buds are busting out, and I think it needs to be in the ground.

While out yesterday Ros bought another Orchid, she has EIGHT on the kitchen window sill, all in flower. When they stop flowering she puts them in the porch till they show signs of life again, then they come back into the kitchen.

She's now buzzing around with the new Dyso# It certainly makes life easier for her, not having to lug the big one around. And will no wires getting caught under doors and furniture.

Had a blow out this morning. Three rashers, two eggs and fried new potato's with three cups of tea and two slices of B & B.

Poor old Chris and Jane, if the weather is like this up where they are, they will want to come home before the end of their stay. (If that makes sense)

Morning all. On 'baby watch' today. Our niece Lauren in Skegness has gone into Boston Pilgrim hospital to have her baby. This is Jim's daughter, pity he didn't live long enough to meet his grandchild. Waiting to see if we have a great-grandson or granddaughter.

Morning All and Evening Kim,

Bit cloudy today but still brightish if you know what I mean.

Now today I HAVE to go shopping as we seem to have run out of milk, bread and other essentials.

Oh wants to take me to Rosemore to see the rhodo's. It certainly is lovely in the spring with all the new growth on the trees and plants.

Mel Fairy Godmother Report 28 May 2013 23:16

Ann I had new short bean seed and they hav'nt come up very well. I put two seeds to a cell but they seem to only have one seed come up in most that are showing growth and some hav'nt got any coming up.

Raining here now.

Frank

Frank Report 28 May 2013 21:26

That's good to know Ann, I was getting worried he had had a relapse.

Ros treated me today to some OLD SPECKLED HEN. I've had a couple so far this evening, and very enjoyable it is too. hic hic.

The sky has settled down now, high clouds, and the night sky is beginning to form. I thing it will be better tomorrow, I HOPE SO !!!

I feel so tired tonight, I don't think it will be long before I go to the land of NOD.

Will you be off shopping tomorrow then Mel ?? It's a job that has to be done, I am lucky, I only make the lists for Ros to get. No runner beans or fresh peas in Tesc#'s this afternoon, will have to try to find them elsewhere.

Sleep tight all, GOD BLESS

Annx

Annx Report 28 May 2013 20:55

Yes....no need to rub it in Mel........sunshine?.....what's that? :-P :-D My mange tout peas are doing well now and have started climbing the obelisk. They are supposed to be purple ones and even the little leaves have a purple tinge......unless it's a nasty disease. :-S I've never grown mange tout ones before so I'm interested how they'll turn out, hopefully there will be enough for a stirfry or two. The french beans don't look good though so I might have to plant some fresher seed.

Yes, we would miss not going to this carvery now.......it's the best we've found for miles!! Mind you the price has gone up a pound to £8.95 each since we came back from Cornwall, but you get pud as well as the carvery and as much tea or coffee as you can drink so it is good value considering the big choice there is. I like it as well because the veggies aren't salty.

Glad you managed to get a meal booked Frank........Ros will like that.

Mandy I wish I could shrink my waist as easily!! I do have to be careful with this washer, it is one that uses less water and has lots of fancy settings I don't use. I have to halve the amount of powder I put in or I get white marks on the washing. I suppose it doesn't need it with using less water.......or maybe I cram in too much washing. I think I will have to look at some of the other settings if I want a bigger bag next time!!

William.....you couldn't make it up as you say!! I had to chuckle!! :-) I hope the bruise won't be too bad.

I know Liz recorded it, but did anyone else see the Queen and her horses prog last night? It was very good and it was lovely tos see how gentle she was with the beautiful young foals.

I had an email from David a couple of days ago just to say thank you for some pics I sent so I think he's ok.

William

William Report 28 May 2013 19:17

Glad my few words helped a bit Frank, it's always nice to know someone understands.

I went to get a shirt out of the wardrobe this morning and as I was shutting the door I happened to bob my head forwards and I hit my head on the edge taking a chunk out of my forehead. Carmel asked when she saw me what on earth I'd done - I told her "I had a wardrobe malfunction". You think I'm making it up, I'm not :-(

Frank Report 28 May 2013 19:07

No need to rub it in MEL, Outside at the moment it's as black as your hat,

I have just looked outside and there must be 40/50 rooks/jackdaws flying around in a right old to do. I don't know if it's the weather or what it is, reminds me of the film "BIRDS"

Yes the avocado was great with the crayfish tales. Gave me a bit of indigestion, so I took some Gavist## later on. Serves you right, I hear you say !!

I have booked Sunday Lunch at the nice pub, so she can't complain I haven't done anything for our anniversary :-| :-|

Will thanks for your support. There are times I want to go and find my daughter and have it out with her.(I don't even know where she lives) All I did was to reprimand her for borrowing money, she had no intention of repaying . I call that THIEFT. I have since offered on many occasions to repay the money, but my friend won't hear of it. He said she borrowed it, it's not your responsibility. He has been a friend of mine since I moved to this area in 1964. I am still in touch with him and his younger brother. The middle brother died a couple of years back Jane knows the family name.

Talking of Woodford Halse. The PUB/CLUB there was where we held the annual presentation for the Gayton and District SKITTLES LEAGUE. One year we drove there through the country lanes, and when we left, we went round and round, and could not find the road home. We ended up going into Davenrty and following the signs from there. And we were not DRUNK.

Going to get a bowl of ice cream, to finish off my dinner. Roast lamb new pots etc. can still taste it.
