Ii did laugh at your post Mandy as I had'nt read it before I posted mine. Seems like we have been doing the same thing today with ur washing. They say we will have 5 mile an hour winds tomorrow so washing will be going out then!!!!! :-S



If I get his ironing done that will be two days on the trot I have washed dried it and ironed it. That must be a first for years and years........................... :-D bETTER SEE HOW i GET ON.

It's got extremly windy here but still sun and white clouds moving ffast. We had a couple of showers and the washing has been out and come in and been out and come in. Now I am going to iron it!"!!!

Yes, next Thursday, it's not a church do it's a venue and to have it at the weekend would cost almost three times the price, about twice the price for a Friday too so Thursday was the best option.

Everytime I think right I'm going out to do some gardening it starts raining the suns out at the moment so I might give it a go.

Afternoon all,

I'm late on parade today. Got up early, and just sat around till 10.00 am. Got showered and shaved and decided I needed a haircut. It didn't just turn into a haircut. It went on into Morriso## for shopping, then into the Café for lunch. Very good offer on today. 2 meals for £6.00. I had liver and onions and Ros had scampi. Then onto the place that sells cheap plants, then car wash. then home for about 3.00 pm.

It pored with hail and rain while having the car cleaned, and the wind almost blew the poor bloke across the forecourt. :-D :-D He said in broken English. "This is your summer. I think I go back to Russia." I nearly offered him his fare ;-) ;-)

Mandy, thanks for that tip, I have been struggling for ages reading the posts, now it's very easy.!!!

Jane should be alright with the weather, as at the moment we have beautiful sunshine, even though it is very wet and windy.

My cues look a bit droopy , I put it down to the seeds I grew from, I had a look in the plant place and theirs are no better than mine, so I will persevere with what I've got. I have some spares if I need them.

By what you say Maureen, is the wedding next Thursday ??? or are you refereeing to next weekend ???

Sun and showers here too.Sun at the moment.I bet it pees down when I come out of the hairdressers.My appointment is not until 4.45 .I will probably be fading by then :-S

I do hope the weather bucks up for the Wedding.But I have a feeling it is still not going to be brilliant next week.I know i will be packing a jumper when we go away.

Sounds like you do a stirling job with the cupboards Mandy :-D.You can empty mine when youv'e done yours if you like :-D :-D :-DThey need a good clean .
New windows are going in on the 3rd and 4th.I just managed to stop our window cleaner from doing the back ones this morning.It seems pointless paying for those ones to be cleaned when they are being pulled out soon.Saved £12.50 :-D :-D

Oh yes, that's brilliant Mandy, can't believe how simple that was.

It's a typical April day today, sunshine and showers but I think I might try and get in the garden there's still a lot to do out there.

The cues are in pots Mel I will cover them a bit more and not water them for a while and see if that helps, but it could be the cold, they are in my PVC greenhouse.

Well this time next week we will all be done up in our finery, seated and waiting for the bride. Hope the weather's a bit warmer than today, who knows. Still haven't completed my outfit Ann, have decided a bolero will look best with the dress, I'm going to Westfield tomorrow and I'm not coming back till I've got one, might be there a while.

Haven't opened my e.mails yet but am looking forward to seeing the photos.

I'm going to try that Mandy but will submit this first or I'll loose it all, goodness Jake 8 already is he the eldest of son's children.

I meant to say i see the page size is back to normal now.

I didn't realise that i could make the page bigger so it enlarges the writing until son told me to hold down the CTRL key and use the + and - key to make it bigger or smaller , well you learn some thing every day !! try it ,it works !! :-D :-D

What a day !! Hail ,heavy rain and sky that's as black as your hat at times , then the sun breaks through and it feels quite warm .
I did have some washing out on the line as there was a nice blow but then down came the rain and i brought it in ,i carn't keep hanging out and bringing it in !!!

Goodness William you were wake early but it was worth it to see the lovely sky.

I like a cuppa in bed ,we usually only have them at the weekend though, we usually sit in bed drinking our tea and deciding what jobs need doing .

Jane glad to hear your feeling a little better , hope you manage to make the hair dressers today, just having your hair washed makes you feel better i always think.

Well i have cleaned out one double cupboard in the kitchen , taken a lot of the stuff up into the front bedroom ,if it goes in the shed i know hubby will lump some thing on to the boxes and some thing is bound to get broken i have been up and down the stairs like a yoyo !!

You should see the steam coming off the shed roof where the sun is now evaporating the rain water !! looks like the shed is on fire !! :-S :-S :-D

Well I think I feel a lot different this morning.Still coughing up the muck but I'm hoping it is just a matter of clearing all that settled over night and then it won't be too bad.(sorry to be a bit graphic)..Touch wood I'll get to have my hair cut :-DI am desperate to see the new salon .Nigel has closed 2 of his salons and has now a much larger one .He has kept the smaller salon he has in Geddington.

I think our Cues are doing ok in the greenhouse.They were delicious last year ,so I'm hoping they will be as good this time around.

A belated Happy Birthday for Jake...Mandy I can't believe he is 8 !!!!!!

Ann does know.......only too well, Mel!! :-S It's as bad as trying to do shoelaces up!! lol. Mine are ready for some ties too. My cue has wilted a bit like Maureen's so I'll try what you say. Mind you, yesterday there was a tiny slug on one of the small cues so I wonder if there are more at the root.......will see if I can have a look tomorrow. I've had them wilt before and give up in the past. I thought this time that mine had got too cold while we were away as it is near the door which was left open.

Off to bed now......it's late for me but OH always wakes me when he gets home so I might as well stay up till he's back.

It has been a lovely day here again with loads of sunshine but a cold breeze. Painted some more of my canes this afternoon and took the others up the tunnel so now all the toms and cues have their canes in place. Some of the tom plants had their first flowers open today. the next job will be tying them up which I hate at first because I have to get down to them!! Not easy now with my back. Ann will know what I mean..........

Thanks for the lovely pics Frank. I must sa how lovely your garden looks. That Wisteria on your shed is covered with blossom. I never cut ours down at the right times but we still have flowers. The one up the top garden I can't get to at all because it is now so over grown.

Maureen have you put your cues in pots or growbags? They may not be planted deep enough but you could have over watered them. Let them dry out a bit and put more soil up their stems. They should root into that as they get roots up the stem to the coteledon leaves (first pair of ,leaves)
