Have just emailed the photo of Exhall church again. I checked my sent times and it's listed there with attachment and when I clicked on it, it opened OK. So let me know if there are any more problems with it please.
Maureen, the children all looked smashing in your email, I bet it was a lovely birthday party - the cake looked yummy.

Morning all, what a lovely morning - will it last- or do a Eurovision and drop down the list! I'll try sending the church email again, I think there was a bit of a blip at the time... Glad you liked my Mash alien/robot. IIt was a bit of a job to film as he was running riot, I suppose it was all the excitement of landing on earth and finding we didn't east real potatoes :-D I suppose in all that you noticed that his mouth opened and closed and his left arm went up and down.
Nice to see Ann back, pity the weather wasn't kinder to you Ann - hope your OH's back gets better soon.

Well it is pitch black every night here too Ann. I love it. Nice to know you are back home safe and sound too.
Thanks for the emails William but I got no pic of the church either. Loved the little Smash robot. Made me laugh too.
Mandy I have two of those cupboards as well. They are a real pain and oh always comes into the kitchen when I have my head in them and bottom in the air!

Evening All....... :-D :-D I'm back!! :-)
Well, what a week weatherwise......needn't have taken my sunhat........but a good job I took my brolly!! lol. Tuesday we got soaked walking around Truro (I did find the bead shop again though and whiled away some time and money in there!) and then there were 65mph gales and hail in the evening and the dustbin took off!. From Wednesday onwards it was fine and we got to see some great gardens again and visited a few places including Porthcurno which is a pretty little cove with steps up to the Minack outdoor theatre. We had breakfast outside on the deck this morning watching the bunnies!! We saw the fox the first night, but the wise bunnies weren't out then!! Two of the gardens we went to look at run down to the sea with their own beaches and in both the gales had blown down big trees. At Trebah, the gardeners were busy sawing up a 120 year old Oak. The man in charge was telling us a lot of the trees suffer from Honey fungus which weakens them as they get older. The Rhododendrons were beautiful everywhere and at their best I think. All along the edges of the lanes and up the stone walls were bluebells and wild garlic and gorse. You could seven smell the garlic in the car. We had the 'famous' F&C again, but this year you got a desert as well for the same price. :-) We noticed 2 fields covered in solar panels when we were travelling this year, there is a big local dispute on in this county at the mo about a proposal to do the same, but I think it is a much bigger one.
Will catch up with the posts tomorrow.........hope you have all been behaving yourselves ;-) I see Jane is back and had a good time!! OH has managed to wrench his back since he got up this morning.......it might have been from lifting my case into the boot!! :-S........well, as Jane says, cases are always heavier coming home. :-S
Night, night.....it will seem strange it not being pitch dark tonight!! xx

Evening all,
Have been busy this afternoon preparing all the veg for tomorrows dinner, I thought I would get it out of the way, so I can relax with the paper in the morning, or even a lay in.!!
Last nights episode was:- As I went to bed I changed the tv over to 655, which is Ros's Jewellery channel. I happened to mention that number was the first three digits of mum's co-op Divided No. 655127.
It bought back childhood memories of running to the Co-op with a list of groceries and when you paid, you gave your number and got a ticket receipt, which you always took home to mum. If you forgot to get the ticket, it was a box round the ear. I then started to think back to my childhood and through to my first marriage and all that had gone on in life. So my brain was working overtime. By 2 00 am I was still awake, got up for a read, and in between reading dozed in the armchair till 5.00 am. I then crept back to bed and slept till 9.00 am.
When I was old enough to afford my own cloths. I would get a £10.00 co-op account, and go to Stratford Broadway, walk through the bombed area, to the Co-op tailor dept. Get measured for a three piece suit and new shirt and tie for £10.00. That would cost me 10/=shillings a week to repay. Oh happy days !!!
see you in the morning. God bless all

Thanks for the photos Fiona, the new shed really blends in well. That rhubarb is enormous it is nice to have something from your grandad's garden. I dug out a few plants from my mum's garden when she died and all my children wanted a rose of somesort so we all have something of hers growing in our gardens.
The dreaded song contest is on tonight. I might watch some of it but will definitely not be staying up for the voting, it's a joke, they all vote for their neighbouring countries, no wonder we never get anywhere, we haven't got any neighbours :-| Or I might just watch Les Miserables DVD I bought yesterday

Sent e-mails to
William, Frank, Mel, Mandy, Maureen,Shirl, Kim, Annx ,JANE :-D if I have forgot anyone or you have not got them let me know,
I keep my fingers etc crossed every time I send them hoping they get through,
THANKS :-D William glad you got them, there's a story about that rhubarb it's started off in my granddad's garden over 50 years ago here in Scotland, then some of the shoots went down to my mums house in England when I was a little girl, then some of it moved with me when I got married . I have moved 3 times and then brought some of it back up to Scotland with us & we have been at this house for 24 years, and every year we have lovely big leaves and tasty stalks , pleanty of crumbles and pies. :-D :-D

Fiona, I can only say your mother looked both charming and chic in the lovely hat.
Frank, nice bunch of emails to catch up with - my favourite was the photos of Carlos Bau, absolutely stunning, what a shame such talent lost his life in that untimely plane crash. The underwater ones are always brilliant, but with Bau there was such a variety of subjects and weather. Genius.
Not much to report today, sent one email out that will tell all. Yesterday we had a day in and at least the water is under control. How co-incidental that my water bill came today from Severn & Trent! At least it's £17.69 in credit.
Has anyone heard anything of how David is? I keep thinking about him.
I'm going to send out another email of one of the items I've got in my model museum because I can't recall if I sent it before. If I haven't I'm sure you'll all enjoy it.

Fiona have we had a pic of the new garage and most of your garden. Would love to see the difference moving the shed has made.
I am off up the tunnel in a min as I need to water and sow some more seed.
Mandy I keep trying to look ans see whats in my bottom cupboard by the sink. It is one of those that is in a corner and hell to reach right in. There must be loads of stuff I don't use in there like about 6 lb loaf tins which will never be used again! and I do love little bowls!! I have loads but I use those for bit and pieces of left overs.

Mandy we have a big garden so OH decided to build the shed on the patio where it has been for the last few months, it was not a big problem being there as we didn't need the space for table or chairs over the winter . We have a big area behind the garage where when my girls were little they used to have their rabbit hutch and where we put our dustbins, so we decided to pave all this area and the shed just fits nicely in between the wall & the garage,
The patio and rest of the garden can now be swept and my planters and wishing well can go back and there is the space for the table & chairs when we have better weather. Oh has a list of jobs to be done as you will remember me telling you all about the extension, well the garden was like a building site so gradually we will get slowly round it , OH has always wanted a green house, he ordered one and it is lying in another part of the garden waiting to be built. it is just a matter of time and we will have the garden back to the way we want it.

At least it's stayed dry this morning for my trip to the boot sale. I came home loaded down with plants, even got a celery plant. Bought a little dolly for Chloe for when they come over, what's the betting the boys will make a bee line for it. After wondering around the boot sale for 3 hours I don't feel much like getting all these plants in today, better see what the weathers doing tomorrow.
Sounds like you were loaded down with lots of goodies for the garden too Mel.
Lovely photos William. Lichfield looks like a really nice town to visit.

Kim, nice to see you posting again ,that's a long course of antibiotics your on, i hope they help you to feel better . It does seem strange to think you are now going into your winter and here we are waiting to see what sort of summer we'll have this year !! one or two hot days if we're lucky !!
Fiona, it sounds as if your OH picked a good day to move the shed , so whats going in the place where the shed stood now ,lawn or garden ?
Nothing exciting happening here ,hubby's working in the kitchen again doing bits , i really should start on the clearing the bottom cupboards out ,i wonder what treasures i will find in the back corners where its hard to reach !! :-S :-S :-D

Hello all, wow I got on here first go. Things must be improving. Just wanted to post quickly before my computer turns itself off which it has been doing for many weeks now. Some days no problems and other days it is a constant bother.
I hope everyone is well and happy and your weather is good. Thanks Frank for all your emails and photos. I have been having a lot of tests, ultrasounds, doctor's visits, etc. I am now on 6-12 months course of antibiotics as I have two nasty mycoplasmas going on.
We are still having days of 18-21 degrees and sun, but the chill has set in. Not looking forward to winter.
Nice to catch up with a few of you on FB. 8.31 pm AEST
