LOL Frank he probably thought Good for you old chap :-D Ah Mel was it a young snake or adult? I think it was the year before last we had one that slept on a part paving slab in the garden.
Jess got her results today and she got a 2.1 in Anthropology which I think is great. But she was a bit upset at missing out on a !st.I think she is a bit concerned that her Mum ,Auntie and Grandma will be disappointed in her. They are a force I can tell you!!!!! A right controlling trio. :-S.I don't like it at all and I would be so sorry for Jess if they make her feel that she hasn't done her best. She won't tell them until she goes back on Thursday as James will be with her lol.He wouldn't stand for it.
Well I have been waiting for the man to come and have a look at our fireplace(re .log burner) and he hasn't arrived :-S....between 4 and 5 we were told.I dearen't start cooking or anything yet just in case he does turn up.
Jess is getting ready for their meal .I think it is booked for 7.30. Better get the washing in I think as no rain so far but I don't want to risk leaving it any later, just in case it starts and I don't notice.

Oh Mel, what a lovely thing to have seen. Again I can't remember the last time I saw one.
The other night there was a programme on T.V. where the presenter was holding a grass snake as it was shedding it's skin, He had never seen that before either. It will be nice if it returns, as you will your own little mouse collector. Do you know how often they need to eat ??
When the Doctor saw my arm this morning he said" AND WHAT have you been up to" When I told him he just smiled, one of those smiles, that says "you should know better"

Sods Law. I decided to mow the back lawn. I got two box's of cutting off it, so it needed a trim. I then watered all the front garden and the pots and tubs, and then the Patio and back garden. I had just put the hose away, and it tipped down with rain. It's now a steady drizzle, so will do some good if it continues.
Maureen, These are the friends who have places in America Tenerife and Hastings. I don't know why they keep a house in the village, they are hardly ever here. ;-) ;-)
Decided a Liver and Onions tonight.
Ros Is making some blackberry and apple jam and I think she has bought two big trays of strawberry's so no doubt that will be turned into jam. I bet most of it will be given away, as I rarely eat Jams.
I have only seen Maureen's latest post, so will look at previous page, to see if there is anything for me to comment on.
See you later, when Holby is on. !!

No sign of any sun this way, but it is very warm looks like it might rain.
Poor you David, but hopefully like everyone else has said it won't be too long before you're free of your contraption.
Have had e.mails from both Kim and Shirl. so all is well, I think Kim is having problems with her computer.
Hard to know what to say Jane to your son to keep him hopeful, it was just the same with mine and my grandson, he will just have to keep plugging away I guess, something will turn up but I don't suppose it feels like it at the moment. has he thought about looking in London.
When are you off on your hols, is it Venice you and Chris are going. I don't know when Ann is back Frank. Have a good time in Majorca Pat, my daughter is out there at the moment, celebrating their 1st wedding anniversary. I'm really envious of your friends Frank, I'd drop everything if someone said do you want to go to Tenerife, it's my favourite holiday place.
Well now I've finished ironing for today I must get out in the garden, still haven't put plants in I bought at the boot sale nearly 3 weeks ago, had some giant sun flowers still in their pots and they blew over in the wind, wretched slugs/snails have chewed the tops right off :-|

Sun is out here and it's hot hot hot.
Frank so pleased your hand is only bruised. You did have a good day on Sunday, did'nt you. Thougherly enjoyed yourself.
When I was up the tunnel this morning I decided to straighten out some ground under a sheet of polythene so the water would run down better. I pulled the sheet back up the tunnel and a lovely grass snake was all curled up under it. It made a hasty retreat down the edge of the tunnel. Did what I wanted to do and put the sheet back and hope it comes back as I hav't had a mouse problem in there this year. I have found a shed skin in there before but have never seen the actual snake before. It's colours were so bright it must have just shed a skin.

Well I am back from Drs. No damage to the back of my right hand, just bruised. Had my injection, have to go back in three weeks for another.
I did enjoy the Pasta last night, loads of onions, mushrooms and chopped up bacon, two pots of mascaponi different type and shell pasta. Very filling.
Can't decide what to do for tonight. Might do a casserole of some kind, with Mash and veg. Will have to see what's in freezer.
I have smoked Salmon for lunch today, Ros bought it yesterday, so I had better eat it.

Morning everyone,evening Kim,
Muggy here this morning when the sun breaks through i think it will be hot !!!
David you must be counting down the days till you get that contraption off your poor leg, not to long to go .
What a morning ,went to Te*co's and i noticed they were working on traffic lights near Te*co's and there was quite a bit of traffic coming out of the car park , well by the time i came out it had really built up !! half an hour just to get off the car park !! so once i got to the roundabout i came home on the by pass instead of coming through the town .
Right i'am going to have a go at this Normandy Pork !!
Good luck to Jess , <3 hope she gets some good results !!

Morning All/Evening Kim,
David nice to see you around. Keep doing as you are told and you will soon have the frame off. That will be such a relief. Keep popping in when you can.
I see I didn't get an answer to when Ann is due back !!
Will. Hope Carmel is a little better today, It's a real bummer when you can't keep to family arrangements, and your poor daughter, getting everything ready and hardly anyone turns up.
I do hope things improve for James. He must get to the stage of not wanting to get up in the morning. Just shows how depressing it can be. Lets hope Jess gets the results she wants also.
I'm at the Doctors this morning about my hand and my INJECTION (lock up your daughters) lol lol Ros is showering now and going out with Carolyn. Last time for SIX weeks, as they are of the Teneriffe on Thursday. What will she do, having to stay at home with me. ???
Weather looking a bit better this morning, high clouds and a very warm breeze. They talks of showers during the day in some areas. Lets hope not round here. Then I can sit outside with my book.

Morning All and Evening Kim,
Bit brighter this morning but still grey skies but dry.
Nice to see David pop in and to know how he is getting along. Must be awful in the contraption when it is hot. I hope you get a result at your next session David and you will be able to have the frame off your leg. We are all thinking of you and wishing you better soon now.
We were asked out for a meal tonight after ringing but are not going.
Anyone noticed the bottom left hand corner of the message box, the little dots in a triangle? You can make the box bigger by holding it with your mouse and drawing it out.
Frank how is the shoulder this morning? I hope it is a bit easier and not so painful. I get arm ache and shoulder ache if I do a lot of windows too.
Hope Ann and Gordon are getting better weather than we are.

Hi David, nice to see your post on here. At least it's not too long till you visit the clinic. Hope it's good news for you when you attend. If all is healing well maybe you will be free of the 'contraption' as you put.
Meanwhile, keep on keeping on.

Evening everyone,
Lovely sunny evening here ,it's been a cloudy day but really warm .
Hubby had the afternoon off and we went to A*da in Norwich ,i wanted to get Lacey some clothes for her birthday next week ,only got one little outfit i couldn't see much that i liked ,we are going to pay for her first pair of shoes ,DIL had Lacey's feet measured last week but the lady who measured her feet advised DIL to wait a few more weeks until her feet have grown a little more . Lacey is now pulling herself up onto her feet and standing so i don't think she will be long before she takes her first step.
What's this !!! two people in the money :-D :-D :-D who will be the third ?? :-D
Sounds as if you had a really good day yesterday with the family Frank :-D i think spending some of the money on a holiday is a good idea and you said you would like to go to Spain so the money's come just at the right time . You'd keep afloat if you had one of those floats to hold onto, having a swim might be good for your knee too. More plants !! LOL i hope you have plenty of water in your butts , if not i dread to think what your water bill would be with all the watering LOL
Thanks Maureen the photo's are lovely ,your dress is a nice colour and the little bolero really finishes the outfit off ,as Jane has said you have a really handsome son :-D

Thanks Maureen.Got the pics :-D.They are smashing.Everyone looked so nice and your outfit was really lovely.I loved the whole colour scheme :-D The Bride and groom were stunning..You have a very handsome son ;-)
Not more plants Frank!!!!!!!.You won't be watering Ros in with them too will you ?? Harrogate sounds very nice.I stayed there for a night when we had to go to a Funeral, but because we were doing all the organising we never had time to see the place. That sounds a good price too.We use Groupo** too and also Secret Escape*We used that when we went to Cumbria the other week.
Maureen I think James is quite down about the job situation.I tried to have a word with him the other day,and his exact words were."Mum, you don't have to remind me how f***** up my life is" :-S :-S... I think that says exactly how he feels :-( Now it 's Jess's turn. She gets her results tomorrow.I'm sure she will come out with a great result.I have a helium balloon stashed in the boot of my car wit h Congrats on i t and some lovely chocs from Hote* Chocola* .I will tie the balloon on the little bag.I don't know what time the results come out,so imagine it might be a bit tense here until they do.Then tomorrow evening they are off for a celebratory meal.
William thanks for your latest lovely sunrise pics.I'm sorry you never made it for the meal yesterday.I hope Carmel is feeling much better today.Enjoy that Pizza :-D James is cooking for him and Jess again tonight,so I think it is Mediterranean Cod and Pancetta fish cakes and a big selection of veg for us.I have some new potatoes if Chris wants a bit more, but the fish cakes look really substantial.
Has anyone heard from Shirl or Kim?
Pat is it tomorrow you are off to Majorca?.Have a great time ,and hopefully all your family probs can be put behind you for a week.Fingers crossed that the weather has improved there now for you.A bit of sun, some nice food and a few glasses of whatever should see you right :-D
