Morning all/Evening Kim.

Still have to go round the houses to get on here, even though Conrad has given me a direct link to the thread.

Didn't get on Sat. pm as I was busy with the cup final !!! and other things.

Conrad spent from 12.30 yesterday lunchtime till 6.00 pm apart from lunch, cleaning all the crap from my computer. He couldn't believe the amount that had got on here since his last clean up. So fingers crossed I will be able to surf the net without error notices. What would I do without him !!

I see trouble has got off, I hope she has a nice time, and a nice break for Janice.

I think it will be planting and potting today, Trays of plants everywhere, that need to go somewhere, madam is just going out now. I will sort something out for dinner tonight, then join her. I bet I get in the way, if so I will be back indoors out of the way !!!

Good morning from a late riser and evening Kim,

Not a bad day here today quite bright. It is usualy better in Cornwall than it is here so lets hope it is ok for Ann and Gordon.

I heard from our David. He says he has the district nurse come to change the dressing on the triple fixator and he has to laydown a lot and has fluid on the left side of his chest. Poor David must be fed up with his own company by now. Shame not one of us is anywhere near him who could visit.

Sunny but very windy, rain this morning but seems to have passed over now,

Maureen , I got the phone number of a hairdresser at the start of the year, but when I decided it was the right time, my head flared up and had to put a stop to the idea, then spoke to a next door neighbour and she said she would give me the number of a hairdresser and when I saw her she said that the lady was moving away so the neighbour will have to find a new hairdresser now.

OH off to Paris this morning will be back on Wednesday night, it seems he will be away for a few days every week till the end of May, thats ok don't mind a couple of nights here & there it's when it's all week, that it gets hard work, especially now that daughter no 2 has Kiah they don't come down for dinner very often now.

Maureen, you just said exactly what Carmel said - Viscious - a waste of the talents of two otherwise excellent actors. I know what you mean about the other programme seeming corny, I felt the same, as that was the period I grew up in. By comparison, radio at the time was a much better production of drama!

Going to be quite on here without Jane and Ann around. And where is our Frank lately? Hope he's Okay.

Carmel tells me we're off out today as it seems a nice but windy morning. Don't know where yet, we have to see how she gets on as her toe is still healing. Let you know later, don't get too excited ;-)

Already got tongue Ache Mel :-D.James just said what a racket we have been making since 7 lol. We are now going to pop out for Breakfast ,so that will set us up nicely.

Just popped in quickly to say hello and wish Jane and her sister a great time in France, I was always told when in my youth, ...... if you can't be good, be careful ..... don't think that applies now Jane. Too late to wish Ann happy hols but hope she has got to Cornwall safely and will have a great time.

Well done William for spotting deliberate mistakes, I never noticed them, not sure about this programme I know it is set in the 1940's but it seemed like a1940's production if you know what I mean, a bit corny and dated. I'm with you on Vicious William, watched about ten minutes, what a shame, two such brilliant actors but it was really OTT.

Do you not have a haidresser who comes to your house Fiona, that way you could wash your hair yourself, eliminating some of the problem, it really is the best tonic to have your hair looking great.

Have got a couple of weeks now to get back to normal before son's wedding, have eaten and drunk so much in the last month or so if I'm not careful I shall be going up a size :-0.

We should all know what half a crown is, 2 shillings and 6 pence, what's that in today's money but don't know what you could get cleaned for that, quite a lot I imagine. Oops just seen Mel's last post.

Finally here :-D.Janice arrived at 11.30 ...Since then we have had the company of Fitz and have spent the last 4 hours sat around the table having dinner.Needless to say a bit of wine has gone down .Fitz has just gone.Chris is just finishing off loading the dishwasher and Larry is getting in all Janice's things in from the car.So we still need to do packing !!!!.I think I am just about done .Just toiletries and the last odds and sods to go in the case.Must do my nails tonight ,and check my wallet with all the important papers ,passport etc are in place :-D

I will try to get back later.

Afternoon everyone,

It was nice and sunny here this morning but the rain has now started ,we have managed to get a few jobs done in the garden .
We went out to lunch with the family and Jake and Chelsea came home with us for a while then we took them back home , we stayed and had a cuppa and a cream scone with them so we won't want any thing else to eat today .

It's very quiet on here today ,i expect Frank is getting his computer sorted out and Jane is busy packing ,i hope the antibiotics have helped Janice so it doesn't spoil her time away .

Hubby has just said are we having any thing to eat !! best see what i can find in the cupboard .

Yes William I watched Murder on the home Front Thursday night. Did'nt spot what you did but did wonder about the forensics bit. Quite enjoyed it though.

Did you apart from the mistakes?

No Frank today so far???

Did anyone watch Murder on the Home Front last Thursday? There were at least two mistakes that I spotted, I hope they got there forensics for the period correct. There was a scene which included a London bus, but it was a Routemaster which didn't come into service till well after the war. Also, during an air raid, the heroine said they were 'being bombed by the Nazi's - what we actually said was we were being bombed by the Gerry's.

Also looking forward to Mr Witcher tonight, Olivia Colman is hardly off our screens these days.
