Maureen, I had the time of my life yesterday afternoon.

Lara got so excited when she hit the ball, it went over the next doors fence, She wet herself, and had to go and change into Julia's cloths. That caused us to laugh even more. I felt so young after playing out there I think it done me the world of good.

Ros couldn't believe I had done all the windows., including the conservatory. Tony our neighbour said he would do the ones that are on his side tomorrow. I won't hold my breath

Jane I have been looking at a 3 night break in Harrogate through Groupo# 5* hotel 3 nights Bed and breakfast for two for only £139.00 If we eat in the hotel we get free Wine. But at 5* prices I think we would eat out !! I will have to have a chat to Ros about it. We will also be considering going to Spain to see Conrad for a week or so. So you can see the money won't go far.

Going to get the hose out and have a sprinkle ;-) ;-) ;-)

:-\ Hi all, didn't get to daughter's for dinner yesterday after all. Carmel was poorly so we had to cancel. Daughter has popped in today with card, T*blerone (giant one) and four bottles of ale, so it's not all bad.
She said only her eldest son and his girl friend ended up there anyway, what a let down for her.

Have emailed some more sunrise pics from this morning. It was raining when I got up after all, so the washing was put on hold. I was just putting it out at 10am when the wet stuff came down again. It did the same an hour later. Anyway, it's out there now, getting a blow and drying too.

Carmel is a little better today and has an appointment to see her doctor on Thursday afternoon (that's the earliest she could get!)

Pizza tonight for tea, better than last's nights meal - a cheese, pickle and lettuce sarnie! Oh well, I'm not starving anyway. C Y A L

Can't be easy for James Jane, are there no job prospects, must be so disheartening when you put all that studying in. Grandson has finished his English degree now and is working in The Har**ester in the kitchens but he only wants something to tide him over while he pursues his ice hockey.

Have sent some photos of son's wedding let me know if anyone didn't get them, this computer is so tempremental :-0

Help !!! The flower lady has been at it again. She came in an hour or so ago with two trays of petunias Tray of Pansies That blue aubrethia sp and some other stuff. Her excuse is that "THERE ISN'T ENOUGH COLOUR IN THE FRONT GARDEN" More like there's no Bloo## room in the front garden for any more. !! She is out there now on her little stool planting her way. around the boarders. I will have to get the hose out later, to water them in.

I spoke to soon about not aching. My left shoulder (my goon one) aches like billyoh at the moment. I suppose it was all the window cleaning.

I am leaving tea to Ros tonight. For a change we are going to have pasta, she will do that later. I just need a break from cooking, and large meals. I think I could do with loosing a few pounds.

While she was out today, she called into a charity shop and bought some Material which she can use for the patchwork baby cot covers. She also bought a cotton M & S single sheet in lemon to use as a backing for the cover when it's finished.

She has also bought me a new pair of swimming shorts, I can't see me wearing those any time soon. I couldn't keep myself afloat, if I went into water. (DO YOU THINK SHE'S TRYING TO TELL ME SOMETHING) <3 <3 <3 ;-) ;-) ;-)

Frank a little holiday sounds a good idea for the both of you.You were only saying a little while back that you haven't had one for a while.Naughty boy !!!!!! doing gutterings all alone.I bet the air will be blue when Ros finds out.

Mel James won .They didn't go to the cinema. He made it quite clear that he has to pay petrol when he takes Jess home ,then he has gone dutch with a present for her Aunties birthday plus other things. He only gets Job Seekers so cinema was out this time......I did offer to help ,but he said no .......He didn't really want to see Superman or whatever lol...
Frank I was looking at those feet things on Boo** this morning .I really could do with one.Maybe I will get one next time I'm in.I don't get cracked heel thank goodess just horrible hard skin
:-S But it is always just on the one foot.Strange !

I need to do a bit of watering as everything is so dry.

Frank

Frank Report 17 Jun 2013 14:34

Home alone again. Ros has gone to have her feet and finger nails done. She gets so much hard skin, I bought her one of those Electric planer things, it speeds round like a sandpaper roller and it takes off the worst of it. It's something I have never suffered from, but poor old Ros's feet crack with it. Like the add on Tele.

I'm in for a right old rollocking when she gets home. I have been right round the bungalow cleaning the windows, the frames and guttering ,where I can reach She always says "Only do them when I am here" in case you fall and no one hears you. AS IF, I could wake the devil with my shouts. :-D :-D :-D

Mel, Are fox's still classed as VERMIN ?? if so can't OH shoot it, to protect the Bantie's. and any other birds you have.

Fiona, I said a year or so ago, that our cooker was on the way out. To make it seal tight. I have a piece of clean wood, that I wedge between the cooker handle and the wall. It's only about 30 inches. But without it the heat escapes round the seal. It makes it very difficult if Ros wants to do any baking. That's why we tend to eat shop bought cakes. Well she does ;-) ;-) ;-) I don't tend to eat sweet things. (I'm sweet enough) lol lol.

When is Ann due back ?? Did she go for a week or fortnight ??

Mel, I slept like a log, till 5.30 am. and to my surprise my shoulder doesn't ache as bad as usual, must be the extra exercise. :-0 :-0 :-0

Blooming heck. it's 2.30 pm where has the day gone. ?? Must get a drink and a sandwich, my stomach thinks my throat has been cut. lol

Oh Frank you're just a big kid at heart, really glad you had a great father's day. that was a nice windfall it's not often money gets given back it's usually the other way around, a holiday sounds like a good idea.

After pressing knobs and buttons and clicking on this and that I finally found the printer settings, never will find it again though, and you are right Mel the coloured ink needed changing so I have bought a new one, haven't put it in yet but fingers crossed it should be fine now.

It's a cloudy day but warmer out than it looks so I might get back in the garden after lunch.

Morning All and Evening Kim,

WEt wet wet here this morning.

Frank you silly boy fancy bowling yourself over!!!!!! I hope the bruise and grazes heals quickly and dos'nt give you too much pain. Did you sleep ok last night?

I went into the garden at 5 to 1 last night to see if there were any hogs around and guess what I saw in the orchard????? A bl**dy great fox sniffing around. Not a good sign with a bantie somewhere sitting on eggs. I clapped my hands and it shot over the bank into the next field.

Don't think it is going to brighten up at all today. The sky is grey but the wind has dropped and the trees are only just moving. Sitting here in the kitchen with the back door open.

Jane who won with going to the pictures?? Who pays?

Frank Report 17 Jun 2013 10:44

Morning All/Evening Kim.

We have had rain again this morning, everywhere is wet. lots of cloud, so I don't think we are going to get ANY SUNSHINE again today :-( :-( There is hardly any movement of the bushes and trees.

I have SIX nice grazes on my arm, and the bruises are stating to come out. I will tell everyone that Ros hit me LOL LOL.

I also had a windfall on Saturday. The Council have been over charging me for Council Tax and I had a cheque for almost £1,000.00. So if we want to, we can look for a holiday, or put it by for a rainy day. Can't think when I last had that amount in my bank account. :-D :-D

No doubt Madam, will find things she needs, so it will go on perhaps Whatever. What's the saying "EASY COME EASY GO "

I think we have a Magpies nest in the big tree in the front garden :-| :-| :-|.I could have strangled them at 5. :-S :-S
I am going to nip to the bank and pop in to M&*. then get more bird food.I shall be going very soon as there is a little 'discussion' going on here between James and Jess about the cinema.Jess want to go ...James doesn't !!! .I will make myself scarce :-D

Here I am, The worst for wear.

Harvey decided to do a roast after all, Roast leg of lamb, that melted in the mouth with everything to go with it, nice sweets to finish off. After a sit down with three bottles of red, we decided to sit outside.

It was warm but cloudy, Lara and Andy came over with baby Sophia, and Lewis decided we would play cricket on the back lawn. I bated and bowled, and had a wonderful time. When it was my time to bowl again, I decided it would be a "BEDFORD BLASTER", and bowled a very fast delivery, and fell ar#e over head, landing on my left arm on the wall, I have grazed it from wrist to elbow, But hey I enjoyed myself and gave the family a good laugh I can't remember when I had such a good time,

Ros as always drove me home, safe and sound, I am now nursing my arm. The bruises will no doubt come out tomorrow together with the aches and pains.

Hope all the DADS had a good a day that I had, and all you MUMS treated them to a special day.

Mel, you are so fortunate to have all the nature around you so much, I can't remember the last time I saw a deer. It must be over 15 years ago.

My E book decided to freeze on me last night just as I had started a new book. I reset it this morning, but can't remember the book title, so will start a new one tonight.

Then wind has dropped off completely now, and it's quiet muggy, lets hope for better weather tomorrow.

14 eggs!!! that's a lot isn't it Mel.

I'll have a look at the settings for the printer if I can find them :-0 but it usually pops up with a message if the ink is low.

The sun is out, I wonder how long for quite fancy sitting out with a glass of wine I think I have earned it, I've cleaned the oven and the fridge today and then moved on to the windows.

Mel Fairy Godmother

Mel Fairy Godmother Report 16 Jun 2013 16:41

Maureen it sounds like you need to renew the ink in your printer to me. You probably only have red and blue left in it!!

As to forwarding photos I have a hell of a job finding out how to do it when oh has been fiddling with my pc. He keeps telling me to put them on my desktop but when I send them from there they come to you in a zip folder which you say you can't open.

Had lost one of the bantams for the last two nights. I did'nt count them in night before last. This morning I only had a cockrel and 6 hens when there should have been 7 hens and yesterday I had been all round the garden with my BIG stick poling around all over the place. Still could'nt find the one that was sitting somewhere.

This morning when I let them out, one went rushing off to the east side across the orchard. I watched her and then blinked or something and she was gone!! I could'nt beleive it, how could she disappear so quickly. Well when oh got back from ringing this morning I made him a coffee and he went outside and came back in and said there were 7 hen banties out there. I looked and sure enough 7. One was acting a bit strange so we watched her.......for an hour!!!!!!!!!! One had gone over in the orchard on her own and when I went and looked there she was sitting on about 14 eggs. I have left her there till tonight when I shall go and collect her to put her away and maybe get the ark ready or put her in there on eggs I know will all hatch at the same time. And the saga continues...........

The router probably got overheated Mandy and when it had cooled down again was okay. Listen to me ..... as if I know anything about power tools ....... I'm a good gofor though, spent yesterday up in son's loft helping him, he is doing a loft conversion and we were pulling up the floor and taking out all the insulation. He gave me an all in one white paper suit with a hood to wear, and a mask. I looked like a forensic scientist, but it really did help with all that itchy insulation but I lost count of the times I bumped my head on the beams. Don't know why I bothered with the cross trainer that morning, I must have sweated pounds off up there.

One of my daughters was a real drama queen and had lots of paddies, I put it down to her Spanish side. the most effective punishment I could do was to banish her to her bedroom where she didn't have an audience, after a little while all these little notes would come floating down the stairs with sorry on them.

Oh has Ann gone off on holiday already, didn't have the computer on for a couple of days, Friday turned into a lovely sunny day and I spent it working in the garden then yesterday was the labourer for son. She's pretty good on computer problems, must ask her when she's back if she knows why I can't forward photos now and my printer has turned purple, the photos I was trying to print off all have a purple background :-( I'm hopeless at the technical stuff.

Another great set of jokes Frank.

Thank you for the lovely photos of your beautiful grt.granddaughter William.

Yikes Mandy smoke! that doesn't sound right :-S....yes purple washing is a nightmare .I dread the Berry time.
It is quite dark here now and the breeze seems to have to have dropped. But as for flaming June !!!!!!! what has happened to it????
I have just added the final things to the Normandy casserole and even picked my own Tarragon to go in :-D.All that needs to be done later is the rice and veg.

I started a book this morning (murder) and the first page talks of a body found on Wembury Beach..........Wembury .
is where I grew up.Mention too of the church on the cliff where Chris and I married and where I was in the church choir, plus lots of other places I know so well.It gave me quite a funny feeling.

It's a funny old day.Must be to do with the weather.
