David I have an antibiotic eye ointment I have to use.So Optre* as good as it is wouldn't help. Just had a lovely chat on the phone with my old Primary School Headmaster. He is 81 now and seems in pretty good form. He sounds just the same as when I was at school lol. Tomorrow I will call my old teacher from the same school .She will be 93 on Sunday. She is just about housebound now because of her legs ,and can just go out if someone takes her.But mentally she is on the ball (she was the last time I spoke) So fingers crossed she is is still doing fine :-D

Pigeons egg Jane.
Oh just shot three crows in our garden and you should have heard the racket the others made. They are a bl**dy nuisance as they eat all the chickens food.
Fiona I did like the story of your daughters birthday as it made me really lagh and I could have done with a good laugh today.
We have both been up the border this afternoon and oh dug some for me as the ground is so hard with all the rain we had last year. He has also mulched a lot of it with wood mulch left by the men who cut our top trees away from the electic cables. Trouble is this year I started in the middle of the border! :-|
Liz I have pm'd you about the eye drops.
David it will be nice if you can get home for the weekend. Keep up with the exercises. Hope you have a little less pain today. Will they give you strong pain killers to go home with?
I had some crispy cheese thingy at lunchtime and one scratched my gum and now I have a gum boily thing come up. So it is a nice whiskey for me tonight as that always seem to take them down. Nice drop of Jam*sons.
Yes the Irish records are on Ancestry over the weekend I think. I had a message from Ancestry to tell me.

Evening everyone ,
Another warm sunny day ,i hope it keeps like this over the weekend .
Ann, that was so funny about the leaky flies !! :-D you were clever to think of that so quickly , it's not quite so bad for us ladies if we have a spill on our trousers as we can always use our hand bags to cover it up .
David ,sorry to hear you have a lot of pain , it would be good if you could be home for the week end , you carn't beat sleeping in your own bed ,you'll have lots of sleep to catch up on . What ever have you done to buckle the wheel :-D :-D have you been taking the hospital corners to quick :-D :-D
Frank, hope Ros got off ok and has a nice weekend ,i hope are you behaving yourself ? :-D we'll all be round for the party tomorrow to make sure :-D
We have been out to a garden centre today ,had lunch out so no cooking tonight ,just a sandwich. Hubby's starting on our kitchen tomorrow ,paper to come off the walls and maybe some tiles too if he has time ,he has to work on sunday ,he's been building an extension for an elderly couple and he's now decorating it out ,the eldery lady has a very aggressive form of cancer and her husband wants it all done so she can at least spend a few weeks enjoying it ,it's so sad as she is such a nice lady .

David that will be good if you get home for the Bank Holiday weekend. Are you able to sit out in the garden?A bit of good old fresh air and sun(if you have it your way) will do you good.
Mel that was good to see a Blackbird collecting food.Hopefully the babies will be fine. I found an empty broken Birds egg on the patio this morning. It was white.(any idea what bird it might be?
My eyelid is flaring up again :-S :-S.I just whacked some ointment in so hope it doesn't get any worse. It's blooming sore.I think it is always going to be a bit of a bother. It's a right eyesore lol

I love a paddle Always have one when I am by the sea.I seem to remember sending you all a pic of me having a paddle when I was in suffolk . Oh poor Fiona not rain again :-S.We have had another lovely day.But I think we may get a little patchy rain overnight.
The rewiring is done and dusted. It is handy now that Will comes up this way quite often now to see his Dad .I will definitely use him again if we need anything electrical doing.Plus it's nice to put a bit of work his way. I just had to go and buy a new bedside lamp as the light bulb disintegrated and half got stuck in the fitting. So I get home ,but then realise we don't have the right bulbs. So I had to go all the way into town again :-S
Frank you must be all excited about having some time to yourself (thats why you are hitting the wrong buttons lol
Ive been defrosting Pork steaks all day for tonight and they still have a little way to go to completely defrost.I can't believe how long they have taken.
I have replaced the tomato plants with new ones now.Hopefully these will survive lol Tomorrow morning Chris and I are going to Poddington Garden Centre (Frank knows where)I haven't been there for a couple of years so am looking forward to that :-D

anyway dull and wet day here , good job I have no need to go out, did all my washing yesterday and got it all dry, just as well
Sorry to read your in pain David, hope you get some comfort soon.
Been checking up on my Irish ancestors on Ancestry , sorted out a few change of birth places, and got excited over the calendar wills for Ireland too, I will need to stop and take a rest or I wear my self down (head)
Been joking with daughter no 2 , when she was little and kept asking if it was her birthday soon, we would say to her when the tulips come out it is your birthday, 5 th MAY, so as at the moment we have no tulips in the garden ,wesaid we will have to cancel her birthday next Sunday, I got a text this morning saying she had seen tulips in the next door garden , I said we don't have any !!!! ;-) ;-) come up to my house :- she said ) OK Birthday is back on!!!! :-D :-D

O Dermot what a nice idea but I bet it is still very chilly dipping your toes in the water.
I wonder what it is about paddling as everyone seems to do it at sometime in their lives?
I have never applied for my bus pass as we only get one round here occasionally and it takes so long to get anywhere.
