Which political party in the UK used the slogan often repeated at election times: 'Vote early - vote often'?

Party starts at 8.00 pm FRIDAY/SATURDAY and SUNDAY, All invited.

Ruby, We stopped over at Charlotte on our way back from the Caribbean Cruise. We were ready to board our plane , when they asked if anyone would give up their seats as they needed FOUR. They offered us £400.00 each and a five star hotel for the night with dinner and breakfast. We snapped up their offer. and spent the next day around the shopping centre. We also got upgraded to 1st class for our journey back.

Jane it has been warm today, lets hope it stays for the weekend.

Mel I can just imagine you in your smock, with a straw hat and willies lol lol

Sounds like you are all sorted for the weekend then Frank :-D.Just behave yourself while Ros is away. How lovely for her to being going to Torquay.,especially if this weather stays good.

Ruby ,I just had a look up The Piedmont. It looks fascinating. And to grow peaches :-D :-DI would love to grow them.
Plymouth is where I grew up from 6 months old until I married.I miss the sea so much and am as far away as you can get now :-| :-|.I lived just a short stroll from the beach and spent many happy days with my pals down there.Often after school we dashed home and got changed then straight down to the beach.Mums used to meet down there and had picnics all made up and ready for us hungry girls :-D :-DWhat happy times they were.
I had to come in as the sun was too hot.I was reading my Kindl* for a while. Then James came in so I suggested we both went to Vote...Only had 2 leaflets put through our door. That was Ukip and the Conservatives.Pretty poor show I think. When I saw the names of the different candidates I had only heard of 1 of them, and they all want your vote :-|

Chris should be home soon.He sent me some pics this morning from the Beach at Aldeburgh. It was empty.I think he has enjoyed his little night and day away.

Hi all,

Just come in for a break from the sun. I am like a little (well not so little) beetroot. Been sitting there with my book, it wonderful outside. Very warm with a slight breeze. Ros would have missed all this, but she will have the seaside tomorrow. <3 <3 <3
I was saying this morning, that Carolyn phoned from Teneriffe they will be back about mid night tonight. I told her about Ros going away, and she has invited me to Sunday lunch. I will get Tony next door to get me a takeaway Saturday night so only Fridays dinner to sort out. I won't go hungry.

Washing all dry and folded in the basket.

Ros has come home early, she's had enough., we are going to VOTE now, and then pop to Tesc# to get odds and sods, and some money for me. I'm as skint as can be. I must have my Weekend beer money !!!

Hello all,

A bit dreary here today, so I must find something constructive to do.

Jane, I was born in a village west of Salisbury. I notice when I go home now that most people go to Shaftesbury (Dorset) for their shopping - it's only about 8 miles. I've been to Charlotte many times; I get direct flights to Gatwick from there. I was there in Feb. to see a stage production of Les Mis. I bought the movie and watch it often. Your mention of Plymouth brought back memories of my sister and I going down there for a shopping trip a good many years ago. I was planning a trip to England, so she saved her coupons from soap powder (I think it was Ar-el), and was able to get our train tickets either very cheap or free. We'd never been there, and got off the train, and just followed our noses until we came to the shops, and there was a big long street ahead of us, full of shops. Our feet barely touched the ground. We had a wonderful day, and planned to go back. Some years later, my Old Pal went home with me, and the four of us decided to go to Plymouth for the day. We set off, full of excitement, but those two old fogeys ruined our day. We persuaded them to get on the ship for a tour around, and then we were free, but it wasn't long before they were back, and they were miseries the whole day!! Wouldn't even have a cream tea - wanted a "proper meal'. They just were not shoppers. Eve and I thought we'd go again one day, but sadly, never got the opportunity, and she passed away 18 ms. ago.

Mel, there is a town called Piedmont, but I live in a region called The Piedmont, which is actually the foothills, of the mountains. It's a beautiful area' lots of peaches grown here.

Mandy, I'm embroidering a tablecloth for a grand-daughter who is getting married next year, although I don't know whether it's something she will use. I'll have to check with my daughter. I can see it being thrown in the washer with a load of blue jeans! I used to love to hand quilt and to crochet with fine thread, doilies and runners and such, but arthritis has nearly crippled my hands. I have a huge stack of fabric that I collected over the years, thinking I'd make lots of quilts when I retired, but it wasn't to be. I can use the machine, but it's not the same as handwork. I lived in Brandon when I was first married - it was close to Thetford, and I know that was in Norfolk.

No sun for us today all cloudy but at least we are dry, I am going to hang out some bedding , keeping fingers crossed it stays dry.

Morning All and Evening Kim,

I can see sky too Dermot and it is a lovely blue today with only wispy white clouds here and there.

Oh is out there fiddling around with something.

I woke at 20 to eight this morning and then dropped off again. Woke at 10 to 9 and thought I will get up ion a min. Then woke at ten past ten!!!!!!!!!! Shock horror I have missed the best of the day and am now behind. Ache today and I don't really know why but it may have been the putting back of the myplex in the tunnel where I grow the tom plants. I am not very good at balancing on my bad foot like the one Jane has and I had to unroll all the material that has a large piece of wood on the end to fit in the raised bed down the side of the tunnel. Still it's back now and ready to be planted. I just have to get another 15 tom plants and a couple of cues. I may put some toms down the other side of the tunnel this year with courgettes inbetween. Shall have to see.

Nice to hear David has'nt lost his sense of hummour. We all do it you know David. :-S

Well it looks like I will be a Bachelor BOY for the weekend.

Jane has rung and offered to take Ros to Devon (Torquay) tomorrow till Monday, to visit her daughter Jo. who doesn't have enough beds for her, her daughter Ella, Jan, Ros and I. So the girls can double up where need be.

I can have a nice quiet weekend, doing what I want. within walking distance that is. But knowing me I will be happy with the Tele and my book. Might even do a bit in the Garden.

Jan rang Ros on her mobile, but she never answered it before the dreaded message came on. Ros not knowing who rang, rang me. When she disconnected the call. SHE DIDN'T. Must have just put the phone in her bag, because when I went to make a call I could hear a lot of chatter in the background, I bet she has used up all her Pay and Go. I've tried ringing her but can't get a reply. SILLY WOMAN <3 <3

I have decided to do away with SK# and get free stat. I can get one for the cost of two months rentals on SK#. Conrad said over 1.7 million people changed last year. He recons I can sell my SK# box on Ebay for £30/40 so that's half the cost of free stat. Sounds good to be. Will have words with "HER IN DOORS" and sort it out over the weekend. "JOB DONE"

I must get Conrad to sort out my PC It keeps telling me to back up my files. That I am not covered from this virus and that virus. All too much for my limited knowledge. :-0 :-0

Come on David, we know each other well enough now, not to be offended by anything said ;-) ;-) Glad you have kept your sense of humour !!

Morning all Evening Kim.

Nice bright sunny morning here, but when I went to the garage, there was a good nip in the air.

Not sure if I will be working out there today. My knee was seized up when I woke this morning 4.45 am. very sore and swollen, so it might be my sunbed and book, when it warms up

Just looked out of conservatory window, and the Blue Tits are in and out of our neighbours box, they were here last year as well.

Ros is off to he "STITCHERY DO" club at the scout hut today. They are getting quite a few new women coming with various projects they want to do. The more experience of the girls help them with it. She's out from 9.45 till about 4.00

Roast Turkey Joint, with new pots, and veg for tonight. I'll get that done while she's out. She is also putting a wash of colours on, so I can get that on the line also.

We will go and vote when she gets in later this afternoon.

Hope you all have a good day, whatever mischief you get up too ;-) ;-) ;-)
