A very late pinch punch with fluffy white rabbits with big ears and all that. Have emailed some photos of the sky here first thing this morning.
Loved your photos Jane. Reminds me of the times we went to York very often for breaks and travelled all over the Yorkshire country side, including Fountains Abbey. Thanks for the memories.
Poor Carmel's back is aching this morning after yesterday, but in spite of it we went into our own little town for a mooch around.
Don't know if I'll be able to post tomorrow as it's a family celebration. Our SinL will be 60 and there is to be a carvery meal at The Royal Court in Coventry. Carmel's sister is coming over from Ireland with her 'chap' in the morning so it will be great to meet up again.

Forgot to say I have an egg hatching under my bantam. One started sitting and gave up and another one, Snowy, took over so she has only sat about a week.
Have to get her out of the chicken house and into the ark.

We still have a beautiful day here. Have just showered ready for the wedding. Oh has been in the garden all morning doing things and I have only thinned out the clematis up the pergola where we go down into the garden from the patio outside the kitchen, for those of you who know what I am talking about. We have a few white fluffy clouds in the sky but it is mostly blue.

Where is the Sun???? I think Frank is hogging it :-|. There were a few patches of blue earlier but they seem to have vanished :-S I have just planted some Geraniums and trailing Lobelias, but have come in to put a heat patch on my back .When that heats up I'll do the others. James and Jess are weeding the Patio ...or I should say James.Jess is saving all the worms one by one.!!!!!!!! What is she like :-S
Kim I hope you are able to get out tomorrow for your Birthday.Hopefully if you get a good night sleep in you will manage it :-D
Must just press on and get the next tub done.BBL

Morning all/evening Kim.
The cloud is just starting to break up, so hopefully it will be a nice day again.
Nothing planned for today. Might get the front lawn done, and plant a few stocks in the border. That have just appeared from nowhere. !! These fairies are so kind, bringing flower plants when I am not looking :-D :-D :-D
By the time KIM reads our posts, it will be her birthday, won't it ?? If so HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU KIM. 21 1/2. I bet.
Ros always said to the boys when they asked how old she was on her birthday 21 1/2. and is they misbehaved when out shopping with her as children. She would say "Don't call me MUM call me Auntie" That still sticks in their minds all these years later.
My wisteria is the best it has ever been, it's covered the whole garage roof now and hanging down all around the walls. There a lovely smell as you walk down the garden, from all the blossom and flowers, what a great time of the year.
I ended up not getting Ros's flowers on line, I called in at the local (VILLAGE) garden centre. They will get the flowers delivered after they get a fresh delivery on Monday morning. I don't think you would get that on line. !!
Would you believe that while I have been sitting here, the clouds have all dispersed and it's clear blue sky's now with white fluffy clouds.
I think it's book and sun lounger for me..
See you later.

Hello all,
First day of winter and although no sun, the heavy cloud has kept the chill away.
I received two lovely bouquets of flowers today, one from OH and the other from my friend Sylvia, so thoughtful. Some of you will see them on FB.
Daughter stayed over last night after a heavy night out on the drink. Fell asleep in her clothes and I couldn't settle until she got home as is the case with us mothers. She will be here again tonight as she is working tomorrow.
My son is home this weekend too which is unusual for him. Always out and about generally. Well at least he will save some money for a change.
Shirl good luck on Tuesday with your injections.
I hope to be able to get out tomorrow, but will see how the old body feels. Dinner would be nice if I could just manage it.
Have a good day everyone, hope the sun is shining for you all. 7.24 pm AEST

Here I am!! Been up the border all afternoon with oh. He helped me and we got loads of weeding done. With the wetr weather lst year I gave up onthe border after all my work earlier in the year. It was so cold inthe autumn that I did'nt cut down the old growth and tidy it before winter then with the winter we had I thought just as well as the old growth should protect it. I have lost 4 delphiniums at least and am very cross. They are the ones oh bought me last year, lovely pale blue one and dark blue one and a bluey mauve one. I also split up my huge pale blue one and lost most of those too.
Oh dug the front of the border and I was getting the flipping buttercups out of the back by the wall so oh can do a bit of digging for me there too. He is going to put the mulch on tomorrow morning early, back willing. We are both so stiff and my hips hurt from balancing between the plants.
We have to ring for a wedding tomorow afternoon at 1.45pm for 2pm wedding.
Frank I only drive fast when oh is not with me but try to keep to speed limits through the villages. Loads of people don't.

Nice to see you around SHIRL. HOPE ALL GOES WELL WITH THE EYES ON TUESDAY.
THE WEATHER HERE HAS BEEN LIKE A SUMMERS DAY, NOT BEFORE TIME, I MIGHT ADD. I WAS ABLE TO SIT OUTSIDE TILL 5.00 PM. BEFORE COMING IN TO GET TEA. I HAVE TYPED THIS IN CAPITALS, SO HOPEFULLY YOU CAN READ IT.
Will, I think I will have to come out with you. All these freebies. Sorry about the ERROR. What a difference a letter makes :-D :-D :-D
I bet you were away this coming week Jane. It's a right bummer when you have been away in such bad weather, to come home to this. Next you will be complaining " IT'S TOO HOT" Dis you catch any bunnies this week ???
This afternoon, I saw the first baby starlings. Mum bought them into the garden, she feed them on the fat/seed block. What beautiful little things the babies are.
Hows Mum and baby pheasants doing Mel, I see you may have lost one, not bad considering the clutch.
Fiona, I think it is the norm. for the older generation to treat their grandchildren like babies. It's a grand parent thing. I suppose we will be like it when we are OLD. loil
BGT is on, so I am out of the way for a couple of hours even THREE. as when this is over there's corrie then the results, then the recorded Eastenders. So I will return to the lounge area at about 10.00/10.30 pm. in time to watch a bit of ROAD WARS or some other Police Programme. Then to bed, with my book.
At least we aren't together, with me "moaning" about the "CRA#" acts that are on there.

Hi Folks, I'm late on today as we have been into Coventry courtesy of our bus passes soaking up the sun and getting freebies along the way. Just after we got there, these girls were handing out free tins of pop, then as we were heading back for our bus, in Broadgate N*scafe had a kiosk where they were dishing out free samples of their 3 in 1 coffee, ready to drink, and also giving away packets containing 4 sachets plus a 50p voucher, they gave us 4 of those. Can't be bad. Have emailed out some photos from today taken on my phone.
Mother and baby Olivia are doing well and F*cebook is being inundated with photos of both mother and baby. So I'm filling up my album at an alarming rate before we even meet the little darling.
Frank, your typo made me laugh. I take you meant you are an old 'moaner', not an old 'mourner', I'm sure we all know what you mean but we wouldn't be without you for the world.
Fiona, how did you get left of my email with Olivia - let me have your email and I'll see you are updated. You can PM via GR for safety.

Jane,
MIL usually stays for a week at Easter and then another week in July. because we try to make it when OH is on holiday. but with me not being well, and she has not been very well (what a pair we are :-) most of this year. she didn't come up at Easter. It worked out well that OH had to work in England this week so he can pick her up on the way home tonight and then take her back home on Monday afternoon, She is ok really , still treats my two girls as kids, but they smile and don't say a word cos they know grandma will soon be going home. and of course she has 2 great grand children now so she can baby them instead, I feel if she stays with us for a few days, it gives OH brother and family a rest from having to keep an eye on her, and after all my OH had to have my dad around for 10 years while I looked after dad. so fair is fair.
Well Katherine came down at lunch time , made my lunch as well as her own and then she hovered up stairs for me while I finished the ironing. All I want to do is go and give the bathroom and downstairs loo a clean over and then its time for another cuppa.
Was lovely at lunch time even had my toastie outside, but the sun has gone now think I'll be putting on a cardi it's gone chilly
Could someone please send me Williams pic of baby Olivia, id love to see her. :-D

Yes Mel. It's been going on a fair time, I know of others who have been on them. You wouldn't know because you are a GOOD GIRL and don't break the speed limit :-D :-D
Just got back. and having a cup of tea, beautiful day out there, even though the sun has popped behind some clouds, it's still very warm and I am down to my shorts again !!!
Northampton is being swamped by Eastern Europeans, in Morriso## this afternoon, all you could hear was their jabbering in a foreign language.. I was glad to get home, away from it all.
I was talking with a neighbour down the road who's friend works in the Housing allocation Dept. for the Council. When they offer some of these people a two bed flat or small house. They complain "I WANT A BIGGER HOUSE LIKE THE ENGLISH HAVE" I say when you have been here and paid your taxes, saved your money, then you can buy what us English have worked all our lives for.
Rant over, no going to town for me for some time to come !!
Suns out again, so I am going to take the paper, and sit in the sun for a while.
