OMG Mandy lol my mind is all of a boggle lol.........I thought a chopper was a bike :-D

Frank I can't help you out on Sk* Freevie* thing.I don't know anything.Chris is out ,so I can't ask him.
Yes Mel it is the lead from the tv to the box thing..Gold plated ??? I don't think so ,not for £21 loll(mines not mine anyway lol)

Oh Pat I missed your post there.Good for you .It sounds like the right decision putting the ball back in their court.I guess you just have to wait and see the response now.
It just sounds like you have a lot going on with all the family stuff and your Osteo trouble.Hopefully something can help on the medical side .As for family ( idon't know what the trouble is) but taking a step back like you have done sounds a good idea.
You have all of us lot behind you
:-D :-D <3

I would hope not Mandy. Do you realise what the word "chopper" is slang for ??? :-D :-D :-D

Jane is that a SCART lead you are referring too. ???

Come on you lot, I need some help. As a BT telephone and broadband user , would it be better for me to have free view rather that SKY. The only programmes we use sky for is Ros's Jewellery programmes and occasional discovery. We don't have films or sport.???

Nice piece of pork loin for later. with apple sauce and various veg, and Jersey Royals. Dinner about 6.00 pm like during the week. Not like my mum. 2.00 pm AND DON'T BE LATE or GAWD HELP YOU.

Pat, that's the best thing to do. Let them sort it out. You know the old saying. You can choose your friends etc.

Have watered all my seedlings, Tomato's Etc. Quite nippy out there, even though it's dry at the moment.

Mandy you do say some things!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I thought it was a SCART lead that fits in the box and the telly but I could well be wrong. I know we bought mum an expensive one when we bought her the freeveiw box one Christmas. Had gold plated something or other.

Is today a special day for Scouts ? we sat here and heard a drum beating and a band and then saw all these Scouts marching down the church yard into church ,must have about twenty different troops ,some in dark green and then little ones in bright blue ,just wondered what they were doing .

Yes Mel, hovering around is what you do when you have Lazyitis :-D :-D

Poor Kim :-( sending you lots of love if your looking in <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3

Oh i've heard of a scarp lead Jane ........just got no idea what you do with them :-D

You've got a busy time coming up then Maureen, hows little Alfie now ? is he still scared of going out ?

Hubby is getting his chopper out this afternoon .................he hasn't used it for years :-S :-)

Jane

Jane Report 28 Apr 2013 14:50

Maureen ,I'm sure the Bolero will look brilliant :-D..What a busy month you have !.
Harry coming up for 2 !! just like Ethan (Dubai).I'm still out of favour there :-| but have bought him a present and one for his baby brother.Chris says I'm mad ....but as I said I'm sending to the children ...not Rachel.
Amelia will be 3 on the 13th ..all these little babies are growing up so quickly .

The wind is really blowing up here :-S.but still dry. I really hope it warms up for when Janice and I go away ...not too hot though.

Roast Beef for us later :-D :-D

Maureen

Maureen Report 28 Apr 2013 14:27

Have managed to redo the sleeves in the bolero I bought, think it looks okay just hope it doesn't all fall apart at the wedding. Am off to daughters for dinner tonight. Thursday will be going to see Les Miserables the musical, really looking forward to that and then next weekend down to Kent, the following weekend is Harry's 2nd birthday and to finish off the month son's wedding never had such an action packed May.

Have saved some seeds from a pepper so have potted them up this morning, that greenhouse didn't take long to come Mandy, be glad when mine arrives and I can get some cuttings in it that are taking up all the window ledges at the moment.

Jane Report 28 Apr 2013 13:54

Nothing wrong with a bit of lazyitis Mandy especially on a Sunday :-D Chris says I was born with it :-P :-P

Oh Frank ,snuggling in beside Mum and Dad .I loved to do that.It just gave me a funny feeling in my tummy just remembering it :-D.Hannah use to like to do that.Even now when she is staying if Chris is up and I'm still in bed she will still come and climb in.To be honest I think it was more to have a cuddle with Chester as he was always in my bed in the mornings.I wonder if she will still do it now he is no longer here :-(

Kim says Hi .She is not brilliant at the moment and has a lot of pain .Love to Kim <3

I have been and bought the Freeview Box and scart .I had no idea what a scarp was lol.James said he will set it up later when he is home.
On t he way back I passed Wicksteed Park and there was a Car Boot .But the wind had obviously whipped up a ton of plastic bags and they were all caught in the railings along side the main road and had even blown over to the other side. There a big bin liner flying too which could have been dangerous if it had landed on a car windscreen :-S.Someone will have a big clear up job to do.

Mel one of my Renau** Scen** s had a Button for the handbrake.I have had a 'KEY ' that just slots in and then you press a button to start the engine.I do remember when I changed cars from the Handbrake free to one with a handbrake I would often forget to pull the handbrake on !!!!!.Luckily there were no disasters.
Chris had one of his cars run into in a car park when another car rolled from its parking slot and slammed into his .I think Chris had only had the car a week lol.

Big decision now....do I hang out Shirts to dry or tumble dry?????

Patricia Report 28 Apr 2013 13:34

Afternoon all and evening Kim.

Thank you for the kind thoughts..I am feeling a lot calmer now..

Have just sent family a message on FB pointing out a few things...They forget we have feelings as well....Feel better after doing that...It was easier to do that than try and phone and talk and leave a message..The ball is in their court now..

I have been to the hospital and the injection for my osteoporosis has such a lot of side effects I am thinking of cancelling the injection tomorrow and having a rethink..I cant swallow tablets whole but there is one that desolves in water which I had already ruled out..I was quite happy using a a nasel spray but that has been taken off the market..I am still taking taking Calcium and Vit D .descisions descisions..lol.
...When I finally get though to my doctor to make an appointment and have a chat I will see how it goes.

Hope you are all ok..

Morning one and all,/evening Kim,

Not a nice morning here either, overcast with a real chill in the breeze.

Just rang Harvey, they Julia, Lewis and him are all in the same bed, chatting and watching Tele. That is something I never ever did with my parents. You were only allowed in their bedroom when you were "SICK" and needed a handkerchief out of dad's top draw. Just something I remember. When Lewis was a baby, we loved to get him into bed with us and play games with him.

Caroline has rung from Teneriffe . They will be coming home on Thursday. Looking forward to getting back, and going shopping with Ros (MORE EXPENCE)

Nothing planed today, apart from getting dinner ready for tonight, and reading the paper. I might need to water the greenhouse as it looked a bit dry yesterday.

What model Rover do you have Mel. the old 200 series ???

I loved my Rovers when I worked for the dealership. I went through the whole model range. The best by far was the Rover 75 with Sat. Nav. Heated seats ,every conceivable gadget you could ask for. The T.V. would only work when you were parked. I wonder why ?? :-D :-D

Well, I'm off for my shower. Be Good BBL

Not sunny here today.

Oh has gone ringing but he has gone in MY car which he won't usually go anywhere near as it is so dirty. Obviously his car would,nt start. He really moans about my old Rover and says I should buy myself a new car, or a fresh one at least but I like my old car and she has never let me down in all the years I have had her. Alright we have had a few new tyres and brake pipes and pads but we get on ok. She will even coast downhill for me without cutting out like oh's car would with all it's fancy gadgets and peeps and squeaks and stupid handbrake button, yes button is what I said. Also it dos'nt have a proper key, just a wedge shaped thing. I told him when he first bought it that I would'nt drive that great thing. Now he moans that he can't park here or there because it won't go in. The only thing I like about it is the heated seats on a cold day.....mmmmmm lovely warm b*m and the ride is not bad when it does go.

Morning/Evening Everyone
Another chilly morning and cloudy. Not going far today except maybe to buy a freeview box or digi box(I don't know what they are called lol) so we can get the TV in Hannah's room working.Janice will be in there when she stays and I know she always likes to have the tv on when she is in bed, plus I might start doing the ironing in there instead of in the lounge.

What is everyone up to today then?

Frank Report 27 Apr 2013 21:29

Evening all/ goodnight to some !!

Just my luck, as I was about to leave to go and see the match, I opened the front door to see it Peeing with rain. I had my stick in one hand and umbrella in the other, the wind got up, and I almost lost my umbrella, it was in my weak hand, so didn't have a lot of control. My neighbour who gives me a lift back, left early (at half time) so no lift home. I didn't take my phone, so couldn't ring Ros. Had to walk home.

Fiona what a nice trip out you had today, It must be nice to live that close to the nice scenery.

You girls got my completely lost talking about knitting, and bought back junior school memories. If you were naughty, the teacher would stop you playing football or cricket and make you go into the girls sewing class. Which happened to me on more than one occasion .

Maureen, I know how you feel, I often don't go out of the house for a week, but then if there is a couple of matches on, I go out in the evening.

Jane the happy Ann. was for the thread. not someone's birthday silly girl.

I'm back to the Drs. on Monday if I can get in. the knee is playing me up as soon as I walk anywhere. I want to see someone about it !!

See you in the morning.

Jane

Jane Report 27 Apr 2013 20:52

Ann ,the knitting I'm talking of wasn't when I was little .....It was when Hannah and James were born lol.I do remember when James was a baby and I thought I'd get the needles going,if I got stuck I would go into town to a Wool Shop with my problem on the needles and a very nice lady would help me put things right .I felt a right twit but had no-one else to help me out.I think in the end I got so embarrassed because I was going in so often I just gave up on the knitting.I went back to knitting scarves (the safe option lol)
I haven't picked up a pair of needles for donkeys years now.Somehow I don't think I ever will :-(

Just found a channel on tv showing STOMP...That show ~I went to see last year .So I'm going to watch that .Nothing much else on .

Annx

Annx Report 27 Apr 2013 20:34

Mel, it was all knit on the circular needle for the bag as you go round and round and end up with stocking stitch without doing a purl row! Ive now sussed out that where the instructions say slide the stitches to the other side of the circular needle for the handles it should really say transfer them. I've started the handles again now and have a nice fat one in stocking stitch!! Yes, I might end up with a Barbie purse yet Jane. You should have kept that nice jumper of James's that you shrank in the wash.......it would have made a nice felted bag!! :-D It sounds like you were good at knitting lace when you were little.

Mandy, when I poked my nose in the greenhouse, the french marigold seeds were pushing through and the lettuce.

Brrrrr.....it's gone cold here now!! OH is home now and wants me to go and watch the Intern with Hilary Devey we recorded.
