Just received an e-mail from the providers who sent the Silver dip, they apologise for the damage and have refunded my money, I won't be bothering to reordering it, I will try and see if I can buy it in a shop, make sure I get it one piece that way.

Afternoon all,

What a busy boy I have been.

Was notified this morning, that my gas and electricity was going up from 1st June. OH NO IT'S NOT THOUGHT I. So off I went round the sites. Ended up with EDF Blue PLUS G'teed no price increase till Feb 2015. and with reduced payments. So a good mornings work.

I then did my lawns photo's on way. I noticed that out Hedgehog is about again. His/hers calling card on the lawn and patio. !!

What a difference today. Bright blue sky's and warm. We all are doing a lot of pottering. around aren't we !! Ros is in the front today, and I will go in the back later. Shorts on today, and bare chest.!!!

Will What supermarket sells bread like that ??? I will have to nip out and buy some lol lol

Oh Fiona, what a to do. I expect they will replace it. You must tell them to put more packing around it and mark it FRAGILE

Ann, I feel for your OH. with that toe, it must be painful and difficult to get around. Give him plenty of TLC

Wonder how our David is doing ?? pop in if you can, let us know you are O.K.

My little darling has just bought in a coffee, so will sit outside and enjoy it. BBL

There seems to be a lot of Pottering going on today.

I have done half the bathroom. The most needed bits! Hav'nt washed the floor yet but that can wait.

May go and do some pottering around the garden for a while now as most of you seem to be doing that.

Trouble is I have an awful lot more to potter about in than you lot. First I must give the chickens their mash I have cooked and see what happens from there.

Morning Everyone, Evening Kim

Thank you to who sent Jane my Photo's

Last week I ordered some silver dip for my silver jewellery from Ama*on, an e-mail said it will be arriving on Saturday 27th April,
This morning a Royal Mail van arrives at the door, OH goes as I am in the shower and he is handed a very soggy parcel, I BET YOU KNOW WHAT'S COMING NEXT :-|
Yes on opening the parcel we find that all the liquid contents are gone and the glass jar is intact but the lid is cracked.
OH sent an e-mail to the provider , so we wait to see what happens next.

Daughter no 2 has an interview for a job as a sales assistant this afternoon in town in a Jewellers shop , she was among several girls who were paid off (, cutting down staff they call it.) in all the branches of her clothing shop, where she has worked part time for at least the last 5 years, as she has been unable to get a full time job,
She will be 26 next week and since leaving University three years ago with an Honours degree in Fashion and Textile she has never been able to get a full time job . keeping everything crossed it goes well.

Time for coffee

Fiona lovely pics of Sophia and Matteo taken at Easter. I love the second one ofSophia as she looks so happy her little face is just lit up. Lovely toothless smiles from Matteo too. They do seem to be very happy children.

Ann glad you did'nt ache too much this morning. Have a nice day out.

Oh thinks that the pics on my camera did'nt come out because we got flash back on the misty rain there was that night.

I do still throw food down on the lawn for Hogwart every night and the new one of course. I think I may move the cmera back up the garden on the lawn a bit more tonight and have another go.

Off to clean the bathroom now as oh is out playing with his ponds. He has the pond vac going and is making a general mess with all the water that is coming out of the pond.

It has brightened up a bit now and seems warmer.

Morning All/ Evening Kim,

Have just forwarded Fiona's pics Jane.....hope it works! I bet your feathered friends are waiting for the Cafe to open! lol. It's good you have this period of adjustment with Chris at work some of the time. I'm sure that would have helped me and OH! It's helping a lot now he has a laptop......I've got a bit of my space back he invaded and took over.......well not really, it just felt like that because I couldn't dive in on the computer when I fancied like I could when he was at work!! He's got quite into his clerking now he is self employed doing it and has some good schools.

OH has gone off to the docs and I am going to do a bit more in the greenhouse till he's back. My aches and pains weren't as bad as I thought they may be this morning! Hopefully we may be off to Tamworth then to see the castle and the shops. It is market day there so I am hoping there will be a haberdashery stall with bits of ribbon, buttons and cord. We are knitting our bags for felting in class this week and I need to think about what to decorate mine with. At the moment I fancy doing beaded flowers on mine, but we'll see! :-) I think we will find somewhere to eat while we are out, there is a very nice garden centre with an award winning restaurant on the way back at Kingsbury. :-D

Have a nice day everyone......BBL

Evening All,

Well I burst out laughing at cheeky Lewis Frank........that was a brilliant trick to play on you!! :-D :-D Some more great emails from you too. :-) I agree Pansies do give a nice welcome and a lovely scent too. They always make me smile. A chap a few doors away had his front garden set out with beige chippings and the four corners curved around to make 4 flower beds in the corners and he fills them with beautiful Pansies each year. It looks lovely.

OH started the day with a trip to the docs to make an appointment about his toe as the so called corn/ then ganglion is getting big and has started to catch on his shoe. The doc he saw this time thinks it may be a cyst, so he has to see another doctor there tomorrow who will decide what to do with it!!

We've both been busy in the garden this morning. I planted up a lot of the raised beds and started off some flower seeds. Then I planted out 3 shrubs and some alpine plants in the garden. OH moved more of the gravel into place, did a bit of weeding and got the runner bean spot dug over. We got 2 loads of washing dry too so that was good. OH said he was STARVING by then so we had some cooked chicken I'd got out of the freezer earlier with a lot of odds and ends of veg all simmered in a bought sauce with ginger, garlic and tomato paste added and some 2 minute rice. I managed to shower while it was cooking. Then we went supermarket shopping and now we are both shattered. OH decided to watch the match on the telly rather than go out so he must be tired. We were hoping to go to Tamworth tomorrow as it is market day and OH wants to go and look at the castle there, but we'll have to see how our aches and pains are and how OH's toe is for walking after his trip to the surgery in the morning.

Carmel's got quite a few appointments William! I hope it will all be good news......it was good she got to see the consultant at the GE, hopefully the proper treatment will help.

It sounds like you had a good weekend Maureen. Poor scaredy cat Alfie needs you to hold his paw outside I think. He's obviously still wary. A little greenhouse is great, but remember you need the door open in the day when it's hot and pussycats do go inside, they like the heat in there! I had to stop OH picking and popping the tomatoes that grew lower down on the plants in his mouth. He got the message when I told him he needed to think how high a dog fox with a cocked leg might reach!!! :-0 He washes those first now.

I talk to myself as well Jane. I say things like 'now what was I going to do next', then tell myself what it is!! :-) Sometimes I do it now when OH is just telling me all that he is doing and my head spins trying to keep my own jobs on track! It reminds me of mum, she was always saying 'I can't hear myself think' when we were being noisy playing or kept asking questions when she was busy!! :-S Is it next week when you are off on the Eur*star with Janice?

Mel, will you still put food out for Hogwart for a while?

Now, Now, Jane, NO FEEDING THE BABIES in the back porch !!

Not only did I put on some warm trousers, I put on a fleece jacket. I could not get warm today.

Really dank sort of evening, cold breeze and very cloudy, looks like we could get rain.

Jane I still stop and have a chat to" my friend" when I'm down the garden.

Glad you had a nice weekend with the children Maureen. Ros has been pottering about the garden this afternoon, while I sat in the warm. I am sure we will be happy when all the jobs are out of the way, but then I suppose more will raise their ugly heads. !!!

Lewis just phoned, and in an Indian accent , ask if I was having trouble with my computer. Little sod. We have had three of that type today. Ros now asks, "where did you get my number" and they soon ring off.

Going down the pub tonight. There is a match on. I have recorded Broardchurch. Will watch last weeks and this weeks on recording tomorrow, when Ros goes to Tesc#

Mel ,Chris keeps saying"What did you say ?" My answer is that I am just talking to myself as I have no Chester to talk to lol.I just used to say to him what ever I was doing or where I was going e.g. I'm just going upstairs now,,or I'm just going to the toilet those kind of things....Chris now thinks I'm totally barking :-D :-D...No comment from you FRANK !!!!!!...I know I am lol

I hope my BIL was ok at his Dads funeral today.I sent him a message at 7 this morning to say we would be thinking of him and he was up practising his speech !!.

It's Baby Bird feeding time in the garden .You should see it out there .It's crazy.I just saw a Blackbird run across the lawn with so many fat sticks in it's beak and disappear under the Yew Hedge, and I think a Baby Robin (maybe Busters Baby) has found its way to my back door !

William Report 22 Apr 2013 17:52

Well, back on after a successful day. We went into Nuneaton prior to Carmel's clinic appointment, looked around a few shops, bit of a snack in the Co-Op café then got some shopping and off the GE for her appointment. Having got ourselves geared up to do battle with the woman registrar who upset us last time, we were pleased to find that we saw the consultant himself. All as well as can be with Carmel's tongue but he did prescribe some steroid mouthwash, also some saliva gel. He said this should have been prescribed previously (so we mentally stuck our tongues out at the b*tch from last time). Also while we were there, we met Christy, a lady doctor who has been in that department for ages and is actually finishing on Friday to spend time with her children. We asked if she remembered Carmel, and she said yes, she remembered her first going to the clinic 16 years ago. That was when the wonderful Mr John Fagan was the head maxillofacial consultant. So we had a cuppa in the Friends café while waiting for the pharmacy to get her scrip ready, then headed off home.

Last part of Broadchurch tonight, I wonder how it will turn out. We watched the Ice Cream Girls on Friday but some of these forwards-and-backwards dramas take a bit of getting in to.

Mel, put me out of my misery please - what DID happen to your camera? Did Hogwarts flog it on Eb*y?? Has a fox run off with it. There's more drama at your place than on TV :-D
