We have put up the metal fly screen today at the back door.Hopefully to keep flies and Robins out lol.
William I love Buster and all the other birds in the garden .But I need to be sensible and not encourage them too near the back door.Chris is beginning to have a dicky fit .!!...

The sun has got his hat on !!!! It's been an absolute treat to be outside today. As much as I ache, I sat out with the paper rather then sit in a comfy chair indoors.

Ros came back from shopping with a boot full of plants. We have a place that sell cheap plants and shrubs. Martine turned up half an hour later in her husbands van with a massive Camilla, which Ros informs me is her Anniversary Present for JUNE. That now sits in pride of place on the patio. I had better go and water all the plants she has bought home. I will do it later. Ros has been busy planting this afternoon, and has just come in.

Jane I managed to pick out the ROBIN, what a job. Glad the children had a good afternoon with you. So Chris didn't disappear into his study then ;-) ;-)

I see my West ham won this afternoon. that takes us up to 10th in the table. STOP Yawning :-D :-D :-D :-D

I made a mistake about my greenhouse it's more like 7 ft x 5ft
big enough for what we want now.

You certainly had a good mooch around Ann. glad you picked up some nice plants for the garden.

Mel, what a shock to find those horses on the lawn, did they do much damage, being that the grass would have been wet, and their sheer size ???

If it's like this tomorrow it will see me down to my shorts, NOT A PRETTY Sight :-0 :-0 :-0 :-0 What will the new neighbours think if they see me. I don't give a damn, !!!

Afternoon All,

Beautiful weather isn't it? :-D :-D I went out with the car roof down this morning, first time this year. OH took his car and we rendez-voused at the garden centre and had poached eggs on toast and a read of the papers before he went off to footie and I drove cross country to a craft fair at Thornton to have a look around. There were some lovely paintings and cross stitch things, a couple of jewellery stalls and various other things including a stall full of dolls all dressed in pretty hand knits! :-) I then went down to the reservoir there as it is a lovely walk around it (3 miles I think) but there was nowhere left to park. Instead I went just past it up the hill to the little plant nursery. Their dog was sprawled out in the sun and fast asleep!! lol. I came away with a red daisy thing with a name beginning with 'A' (not Aster) for one of my pots and with a few of the dwarf hardy fuschias and a New Zealand fuschia.

Our free B*S vouchers came this morning......£65 between us and for me to spend!! ;-)

Thanks for mentioning about the possible frost Frank......I was able to get newspaper over everything in time. Our little greenhouse is only 7x5, but it's amazing what you can grow, even in a small one. I have my tomato plants now, but they will need to grow a bit before they can be planted as will the mini cucumber I managed to get.

That's worrying about Miranda's ex and his girlfriend Kim. If he lives quite a way away I wonder how he found out where she's working. I remember buying quite a few things when I started work, it was just nice being able to have a few more clothes as I didn't have much other than school uniform. Hopefully she will calm down a bit soon. What a hard time you are having lately. Your job with the fire Service must have been interesting? Did you try out the 'POLE'. lol

Yes, now Rolf Harris! I have mixed feelings about the press printing things about these things while they are still being investigated. On the one hand it may tarnish or ruin someone's career if they turn out to be found innocent, but on the other hand I suppose it encourages others who may have been affected to speak out. A tricky one.

I hope your mouth feels a bit better today Fiona. I'm keeping my fingers crossed as my teeth seem to be ok again now.

Mel, if that had been my OH I think he would have got me to try and get them back!! Those Suffolk Punches may well be gentle but they are huge chaps. Isn't it funny how most horses love mints! So they left you pressies for your roses in exchange for the tasty fresh lawn! ;-) It sounds like Hogwartina is ready for off as well!! Especially if she has found a 'beau'!! lol. ;-)

Jane, you sound just like us with the shopping to do for your 'visitors'. When FIL and MIL come we have to get in white bread for them. Also stuff like cakes and biscuits, which we rarely buy ourselves. I would think the children will love playing in your big garden on a sunny day like this.

Better get my old togs on now and go and do a bit in the garden. It's supposed to rain again tomorrow I think?

I think I have caught the sun !!!.Its scorching out there on the patio.Rachel and the children have just gone.It was so nice to see them.Finn is a typical 7 year old and cocky lol,but a lovely boy.He has been going around with Chris's watering cans watering everything in sight including his little sister :-S.Amelia (or Mimi) is a real sweetie.They both took up camp in the summer house with the picnic I made.
They were fascinated with Buster who came wanting to be fed .I'm going to have to stop feeding him every time he turns up.
The sun is so hot Chris was trying to set fire to a bit of kitchen paper from the reflection from a glass lol

Jane, you have a great relationship going with Buster. It reminds me of the time we went up the Lake District and were visiting Beatrice Potter's cottage. Anyway that's been there will tell you that it's like looking at the illustrations in her books and you can even recognise things like clocks etc. We had just gone into the kitchen and were looking back through the open door admiring the garden. The next thing this robin hopped in through the threshold. It was just like watching one of her children's books coming to life.

Good morning all/Evening KIM.

I WALKED up the club last night about 8.00 pm. Rang Ros 9.35 to collect me. Had a good old chat to the lads, who seemed please to see me, I haven't been up there since January.

Been down the garden on my patch this morning at 9.00 am. FINISHED my digging by 10.30. Absolutely shattered now, but it's all done, I will rake it over during the week, and get some potato's in. Have watered the greenhouse, everywhere is so dry in there. Left the door open to let some air in.

I am glad they have caught that other brother. Ros tells me he was hiding in a boat in some ones garden. Lets hope they can find more information about whatever is going on. Then they should tie him up with bombs around him and put him in a desert and blow the Bast##d up. He shouldn't be allowed to breath gods air.

What a glorious day it is now. No wind and the sun is nice and warm. I will get myself a coffee and sit in the garden for an hour.

I see there is a line of washing that needs to go out. The machine has just finished.

When I pulled my curtains back in the bedroom this morning Buster was hovering around by the back door.I opened the window and he flew right up to the window sill next to the window I was at.He'll be in my bed soon :-|

Mel did you get any pics of the horses???.I love the Suffolk Punch.I hope OH has managed to get them back where the came from.

We knew about Rolf Harris about a month ago. His name was mentioned on the internet newspapers here. It came as a great shock, but I hope it is all a load of rubbish. I grew up watching his shows and loved his music.

Misty moisty morning but the sun soon burnt that off and now it is sunny.

Thank goodness they caught the other bomber. He should be hanged for what he did injuring all those people on Patriots day. At least the people can rest easy now.

Was woken early this morning with oh coming back in the bedroom just to tell me to get up quick and do I know these three horses that are on the front lawn?? Yes says I, they are Susanna's from the big house. He went out with a pack of mints and managed to get them back down the road all on his own while I tried to ring the big house with no joy as she was obviously out looking for them. One suffolk punch one large newforest type and a Dale type. Oh was expecting them to charge off across his lawn and do a lot more damage than they had down. They left us three calling cards!!


I put my camera out down the garden last night and put a stick up across the hedgehog box. Guess what I had on camera this morning??

I had scattered soem cat food around in front of the camera and it worked as I had a small hog on the film this morning. Hogwart came out into his new run and I think he was pleased to be able to have a good walk about. This morning there is a big hole in the lawn in the back corner of the run so yesterday afternoons work was a waste of time I think as he must have smelt the other hog and tried to get to it.

Now I feel cruel locking him in a run when he could have made friends.

Am posting now and see if I can get back to the current page.

Morning all - what happened? I got on here at 9am faster than a Ferrari!!! Lovely sunshine out, have put the heating off, are things about to change?

Didn't go anywhere at all yesterday, had to get the doctor in to Carmel again, the dreaded gastritis is back! He just told her to stay on her B*scopan and drink plenty to stop dehydration. The only problem is, frequent trips to the bathroom and not wanting to eat make it difficult on catering for her.

We are still reeling over the news about Rolf Harris. I can't believe it, he's become a national institution here and probably one of our most popular imports from Australia. I just hope it's not as serious as it seems. The trouble is, when the press get hold of anything, they can shake it up worse than a bulldog with a bone.

A rotten day here, with torrential rain and wind. I suppose the good weather had to come to an end.

Good news that they have caught the second bomber, now they need to find out why and if there are others involved.

As she is still casual staff Frank we don't charge board for either child. She had the day off yesterday and her ex turned up at her work wanting to know where she was and saying he was her boyfriend. Really scary stuff, the shop has taken out a restraining order on him and the police are looking for him on other matters. Lucky she wasn't there, but it has spooked all of us. He has a girlfriend and she is stalking her as well. They are both crazy. I hope he stays away from the house, but he has been in the local area a lot lately and he lives a long way from here. :-0 :-0 He was so likeable when they first got together.

Jane thanks for the photo, I can just make him out. We have had a pee wee sitting on one of our outdoor chairs out of the rain, but he has pooped everywhere. OH will not be happy when he has to clean it up. :-D Have a lovely time with your family today.

Mandy I have sent again.

I got a fright about an hour ago.I was just at the back door and suddenly a little baby bird suddenly landed from somewhere right outside the door.It looked stunned and just lay there for a few minutes ,then suddenly took off scuttling away across the patio.hey way it ran ,it looked like a little Moorhen but it could have been anything lol.
I just hope it got back home to it's nest.

Tomorrow it is just not my niece coming ...Finn and Amelia are coming too :-D :-D
So first thing I will be off to buy some food they like .White sliced bread and Ham ,Prawn flavoured crisps and Harib* sweeties lol oh and some biscuits :-D.
They are both very lively children so my sister tells me .I will will pooped by the time they go lol.I wonder whether Chris might slope of to his study at some point ...I bet he will lol

Hav'nt been up the garden at all today. Instead oh made one of the pond covers into a run for Hogwart and we have put him outside.

Well I say him oh now thinks he is a she as when I picked it up to to put it in the ark attached to the run it curled into a ball and all we caould see was a nose four little feet and two big titties!! It looked so funny and I did'nt get a picture!!!!!!!!!!!! I did get one while it was in the scales though and it weighed in at 3lbs.

Am posting this as I can't get to the last page at the mo. I bet I get the dreaded Error page.
