Martha Harriet Hall married John Bateman in 1888.

At time of the 1881 census, Martha was recorded as a "General Servant" to Bateman household. John Bateman's first wife Catherine had died in 1879.

In the 1911 census, Charles and Martha Harriet are living at 29 St Mark's Terrace, Wakefield Road, Monk Bretton. The Hadlington name has been crossed out and replaced by the Bateman name. So the transcription has "Charles Bateman" born in Dudley.

The census form is also signed by "Charles Bateman" but I'm not sure which Charles signed (see below).
