Gwyneth O'Brian nee Nash is/was my Gt Uncle Lukes daughter. My nan was Kate,(PYE) Lukes sister
The only information I can remember of her is that she married O'Brian and had one son to my knowledge called Billy. Billy would be in his seventies now. They lived Canada, I think, back in the 1960s/70s. May still do.
Am just needing any ANCESTOR info which may still be available, no matter how small a snippet.

1939 Register, to get us going? It would have helped if you’d given a general area & approx year of birth

>>>Gwendoline E M (Mary G) O'Brien (Nash) 27 Aug 1922 Trecasting Works Trimer

As her entry has been opened, either it was in error or she died in England or Wales. Names with a dob less than 100 years ago, or where a death listed on GRO hasn’t been linked, are usually closed

Were you looking for Luke Nash or Lily Lord (Mary’s Mother) ancestors?

Possibly Lily’s death. The entry for Luke on the 1939 register suggests he could have been widowed.

NASH, LILY 21
GRO Reference: 1922 S Quarter in BURY Volume 08C Page 475

This indicates she could have been born c 1901 +/- 1

Might she have died in childbirth?

+++DetEcTive+++

+++DetEcTive+++ Report 16 Feb 2019 10:15

As there are several births which could be Lily’s, you may need to purchase a copy of her & Lukes MC. That would give her father’s name. The witnesses might be from her side of the family.
£11 from GRO - the price went up today.

Although you’ve asked for Ancestors info, you’ve posted on Find living relatives. Was this in error & you’re actually looking for O’Brien/Nash descendants?

Online travel records stop at 1960. We won’t be able to find William/Billy’s journey overseas. There are a number of marriages for a William H O’Brien in Lancashire. Any one of them could be his.

You do have threads about Eustace ancestors already so we can ignore those eg

Thank you very much for all your hard work here!
WoW
yes please ignore the Eustace refs as these are ongoing on a different thread.

It may have seemed odd to post on Find Living Relatives. but it was just a long shot to see if there is anyone still out there family wise who may have any information tucked away which would back up research into our ancestry. Why didn't I ask questions when I was younger!

The Corcoran Household which you found is definitely a family link. And very interesting.
… Luke Nash was my Gt Uncle, ( His sister was my nan Kate. I have all the siblings and their parents from the census's)

Mary A (nee Nash) was also a sibling (Lukes sister) who married Christopher Corcoran.
I think Elizabeth (Bessie) and Alice were their children....My mums cousins,
I remember Aunt Bessie and her children well.
Sorry, I'm waffling!
Thank you again for the information. Every little bit helps as they say.
:-) :-)

The mother’s maiden name for both Elizabeth & Alice Corcoran was Nash. It looks as if They had at least 4 other sisters.

[not going to follow through or look for earlier/later births as you may already have them]
.....

Try using the Search All Member trees- top right under Search- for all Lily Lord’s born 1900-1902. Contact any tree owner to ask if they know if theirs married Luke Nash.
You could do the same for William O’Brien jr born in Lancashire. As his birth was reg 1st quarter 1948, he might have been born late 1947.

Thank you so much Detective.
Some of this info I do have but some I didn't, So filled a few gaps. Brilliant.

What I am really looking for is as mentioned in another thread, and that is definite parents for William Nash and Mary Eustace,
William it seems is listed as Guilelmum and Mary is listed as Mariam. born in Ireland 1864/65

I have a marriage now for them 1/11/1887 St Peter Middleton Lancs
With grooms Father as Roberti Nash and Brides father as Joannes (John) Eustace. (Thank you Abby for that). So although the parents listed can now be accepted as fact,
the list of children I have now for John and Margaret Eustace (nee Bruce) doesn't include a Mary of the right age i.e. born c 1865

Meanwhile I have taken down all the info which you sent and intend to add this once I manage to untangle John Margaret and Mary Eustace, Hopefully I will find the right ones!

I need to close this thread for now though and concentrate on the William and Mary thread.
I really appreciate all your help.
Kind regards
Sheila B
