Far too vague, I’m sorry

Birth year and location are vital.

Also, PLEASE, say what research you have done yourself.

Welcome to the boards, John.

It is highly unlikely that any of Tony's children will happen to spot your post here, if that's what you're hoping for, but we (GR members like yourself) may be able to help by looking at records.

There are several births of children named John M Gutteridge, in various places and years.
Similarly, there are various records of marriages of men named Tony Gutteridge.

If you can tell us who Tony married, that would help.

Where did Tony live?

You call him ‘Tony’.......................... is/was his correct name Anthony?

Look in 'search all member trees' for any connections on here. Hardly anyone uses these boards now.

Tony Gutteridge and I shared the same gr gr grandfather, Tony was born in 1941 St Albans. Our gr gr grandfather was John Gutteridge born in 1802.
I believe Tony move to Australia in the late 50s or early 60s. I would like to get in touch with anyone that might have known Tony

His name is/was Anthony C……..

Use those details to continue your research

EDITED

A man of that name married in 1968. Find the record, then look for names of children using the info from that using freebmd

Too recent for posting on these insecure boards

How did you come to have info about a possible son’s name?

‘Tony’ has/had two brothers……

Tony Gutteridge with the birth info you give is in a couple of GR trees in addition to yours, so he is either deceased, or he has given permission for his details to be used

Try contacting the tree owners to find out whether they know anything useful

The couple who married in 1968 had a son of the names you mentioned, in the early 1970s - but with the names reversed.

That son is on three GR trees, including that of a Tony Gutteridge, who may or may not be his father.
Tony 1941 (listed as Tony, rather than Anthony) is on the same three trees, as well as a fourth tree.

You'll find "Search all Member Trees" under "Search" at top right of this page.
Click on "Find out more" to send a message to the tree "owner", who will receive it via email from GR, assuming they have kept their email details updated with GR.

There's no guarantee of a reply, unfortunately - but you may be lucky.

Tony Gutteridge has a tree on GR which includes both of the children born to the couple who married in 1968

Both children are also in another member's tree

The bride from the 1968 marriage is ALSO in both of the trees to which I make reference
