Hi , my friend has asked me to see if I can find any information about his dad , particularly any military as he knows his father was in ww2
His name is Anthony Robinson cook born 1919 in the Newcastle area .

World war 2 service records are still with the MOD and are not online. Have a look here to see how to order them:-

They cost £30 and sometimes take several months to arrive.
