We have been given a Dead mans penny with the name of the recipient on it. This person is not a family member but we would love to try and find his family and get it back to them. Any suggestions as to where to start please. TIA.

If you like to give us the name, we can have a look.

WW1 army records would be the place to start, but bear in mind that many WW1 records haven't survived.
He should, however, be listed on the CWGC website.

His listing may ( if you're lucky ) include names of parents or wife.
